The path from a person of this world to the state that is equal to the Creator is divided into many degrees and states through which we need to ascend. That is, each person needs to correct his inner qualities until he turns from an ordinary person into one who is similar to the Creator. Commandment also means advice because in each such appeal of the Creator to us there is a preparation for attainment, which is called posterior, as well as the attainment itself, which is called face. The Creator offers us some kind of action. If we fulfill it, then in accordance with it we will receive some kind of spiritual elevation and new qualities will be revealed in us, and thus we will take a step toward the Creator.

Performing the action itself is considered the posterior; that is, at this time we still do not understand anything and do not receive anything, but when we finish the action, we reveal some quality, the next degree, a new state of the Creator, and this is called face.

Therefore it is written in the Torah: “We shall do and we shall hear!” These are two states. When we do some actions exactly as it is written, we reveal within ourselves the ability to hear and rise to the next degree.

There are 613 such degrees in total. There are 613 preparatory degrees that take us to a new level. And there is also the side of the face when after preparation, we begin to hear and understand what is being said and to reveal something new. This is how we attain the meaning of these commandments, the meaning of these instructions.

Question: There are a huge number of people around me in this world. Some of them are talented, rich, and happy, and some, on the contrary, are poor, unhappy, and sick. Rapprochement of friends in the group means getting closer to the Creator. Only in this way can we realize our connection with Him.

And the Creator reveals the quality of our aspirations to the extent that we correctly aspire to each other and we reach the state where He begins to reveal Himself as the quality of our connection, as light, as the power of unification. This quality of connection that we acquire is called the upper light. This is the Creator.

We always feel only the connection between us, we originated from it, and everything except for the point of connection between us was shattered. And from this shattering we must again restore our connection.

When this happens, we attain the initial state called Adam HaRishon (the first man) who was created by the Creator as 620 times stronger than it was initially created.

This is the difference between our work and the work of the Creator. That is why it is written: “My sons defeated Me.” The Creator seems to be saying: “I created a relatively small initial state that existed only in the light of Hassadim, and they took all the egoism from the desire I created, turned it into the property of bestowal, and thus revealed Me 620 times more.”

The Book of Zohar, vol.7, Behaalotcha, Item 58: Woe unto one who says that the Torah comes to tell literal tales and the uneducated words of such as Esau and Laban. If this is so, even today we can turn the words of an uneducated person into a law, and even nicer than theirs. And if the Torah indicates to mundane matters, even the rulers of the world have among them better things, so let us follow them and turn them into a law in the same way. However, all the words of the Torah have the uppermost meaning.

The problem is that people do not understand the Torah, they do not understand that it describes the laws of nature that we must comply with in order to exist in a correct relationship, in a correct unity with nature.

Its most important law is “Love your neighbor.” So it is written: “We should interpret that it is known that it is impossible to achieve love of the Creator before a person is rewarded with love of people through “love your neighbor as yourself,” which Rabbi Akiva said is a great rule in the Torah.

For a person striving to fulfill it, this law includes all the other laws of the Torah.

Comment: This is very strange because the Torah mainly writes about murders but nothing at all about love.

My Response: It writes about how difficult it is to love your neighbor as yourself. The entire Torah is written about this.

Question: So the Torah is the instruction on how to achieve love for your neighbor?

Answer: Only that!

Question: And what are the Ten Commandments?

Answer: In order to fulfill the law of “Love your neighbor,” there are 613 (Taryag) of all kinds of sub-laws. They are included in the Ten Commandments, which are included in one basic law.

Question: If we take at least one commandment, suppose, “Do not steal,” what are we talking about?

Answer: “Do not steal” is natural. Is it possible to implement the law of “Love your neighbor” and steal? In this law, there are more internal, higher, although seemingly irrational rules. But in principle, it starts with purely human relationships.
