My Comment: This statement looks like a mockery of all the attempts of the Israeli army not to harm the people of Gaza, even risking the lives of Israeli people. The truth is restated once again—the Jews are expected to correct the world rather than to become similar to other nations. The claims of the nations of the world that the Jews are the cause of all the world’s ills is fair because only they can correct the world.

With the worsening of the global crisis, the nations of the world will increasingly put pressure on us and force us to carry out our business, the duty to the world and the Creator—to give an example for the world to unite in “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” We will have to realize this biblical instruction on ourselves, by consciously becoming aware of it or under strong pressure and suffering. The choice is ours.

Whatever happens to humanity is a result of the collision between two forces: the force of bestowal and the force of receiving. There is nothing but these two forces. So it is useless to fight anti–Semitism directly, since it is clearly a natural phenomenon. It stems from the shattering of the vessels, as a result of which sparks of bestowal penetrated the desires to receive and are now opposed to one another, and so this hatred has to exist.

It was revealed even before the shattering of the vessels, but not to such an extent. History and the system of upper forces show us this in the confrontation between Jacob and Esau, the confrontation between Balaam and Balak and the Israeli nation. It is clear that this phenomenon is above nature, which means that its root precedes the creation itself.

There are two forces: the Creator and a created being, “something from something” and “something from nothing.” The force “something from something” has already awoken in some people, a spark of the Creator, and so they are hated by other people (the vessels/desires) in which there is no such force.

There is nothing to blame or to justify them for; it is simply a natural phenomenon that we should accept, just like a sunset. So there is no logical solution to it; there are many Jewish organizations that fight anti-Semitism, but it doesn’t help. After all, how is it possible to fight a natural phenomenon? It was created before us, from the contrast between two forces and it comes from Above, spreading into the world this way.

As long as the group that carries the sparks of bestowal doesn’t fulfill them, it will be hated by everyone else. It is because it is like a thorn among everyone else, alien and strange. If the Israeli nation wants to resemble the other nations externally, nothing will help. This inner spark, the Reshimo (spiritual gene), doesn’t disappear, and so it can always be identified in those who have it.

When they went to exile, to live in other countries, the Jews usually tried to resemble those around them, but it should be the other way around. They will not achieve anything by trying to resemble the others. On the contrary, by that they will ignite even greater hatred towards them. The hate will disappear only if they correct themselves when they reach the state Baal HaSulam calls “altruistic communism,” which means achieving a corrected form of society. Thus they will serve as a model for all the other nations who, in the meantime, are sinking deeper into the general global crisis for which there is no solution.

This is the mission of those who carry the sparks of bestowal. It isn’t only those who clearly belong to the Jewish nation by birth. As a result of the integration of the desires during the shattering, the sparks of bestowal penetrated everyone, but in some of the people they are revealed more openly and in others less. Eventually, these sparks will awaken and be discovered in everyone, since all of humanity needs to reach correction, regardless of race or color: black, white, red, or yellow.

Any person in whom this spark is lit is attracted to the revelation of the goal of creation, which means to be in contact with the Creator. It is in this connection that the secret of life and of Creation is revealed. If we follow the call of this spark and establish the connection between us in order to be one whole, then it is expressed in the world in the form of altruistic communism, as each one has a standard of living that is equal to others and everyone is connected.

On the corporeal level, people will only worry about the basic necessities, and we will direct all our other forces to connection and to spiritual ascent. Thus we will be able to show everyone else that the solution for the crisis is in equality.

Equality is not in being like all the other nations in their current form, as the sparks of bestowal are trying to adapt themselves to the needs of the egoistic desires into which they have fallen. On the contrary, we have to correct ourselves before all the nations and then draw everyone to the spiritual level.

Only in this way will we be able to correct all the hatred that divides our vessels. We need a systematic perspective of this problem and not an emotional one. It is a very important question since here in this world we cannot see the whole revelation of the shattering and understand what has to be done in order to correct them.

It is a waste of time and energy spent senselessly. We have to understand that the choice is in our hands, and the correction depends on us, on all those in whom the sparks of bestowal have lit up. All the others, who belong to the nations of the world, are not to blame that the force of the shattering speaks from them. It is only us who are the reason for the whole crisis since we don’t hurry to perform the correction. Let’s hope that we will be able to correct all this quickly.

Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to the Book of Zohar,” Item 69: But if, God forbid, it is to the contrary, and a person from Israel degrades the virtue of the internality of the Torah and its secrets, which deals with the conduct of our souls and their degrees, and the perception and the tastes of the Mitzvot with regard to the advantage of the externality of the Torah, which deals only with the practical part? Also, even if one does occasionally engage in the internality of the Torah, and dedicates a little of one’s time to it, when it is neither night nor day, as though it were redundant, by that one dishonors and degrades the internality of the world, which are the children of Israel, and enhances the externality of the world—meaning the Nations of the World—over them. Furthermore, by that, they make even the externality in the Nations of the World overpower their own internality, for the worst among the Nations of the World, the harmful and the destructors of the world, rise above their internality, which are the Righteous of the Nations of the World. And then they make all the ruin and the heinous slaughter our generation had witnessed…

If the Israeli nation stalls the process of correction, it gets back the blow of all the corruptions it hasn’t corrected in the world. But to the same extent that we fulfill the method of correction (and we have all the conditions to do so), we draw the upper Light for the whole world, the upper force that arranges all the desires and corrects all the souls. This Light comes to everyone, and so we will see how their attitude towards us will begin to change. So there is nothing to blame our enemies for, we are the ones who have made them that way. We suffer because of our foolishness as we don’t fulfill our role.

It says: “I have created the evil inclination; I have created the Torah as a spice to it, since the Light in it reforms.” If we correct ourselves, our corrections are passed directly to everyone else by open pipes.

But if we don’t do that, then the world remains uncorrected because of us, and will turn to us pressuring us and demanding it from us. Then we will still have to advance towards correction anyway, but by the path of sufferings, since we refused to listen right off and to fulfill our role.

We have no choice. Now after so many missile attacks we have understood this a bit more. We see that we are at a dead end and that we are totally helpless. There is no more time to think, and we are so far behind and have to make much greater corrections than the ones we have already made.

The main responsibility is ours, those who deal with the internal correction. If we made the corrections on time, there wouldn’t be any conflict in Gaza and there wouldn’t be any missiles. The corporeal problems would totally disappear; they would simply not be able to exist in our world. We would rise above all matter like a flying saucer.

We are all to blame for what is happening, all those who have the internality of the Torah. The same people who called themselves the “nation of Israel,” who left Babel with Abraham and who have founded the nation based on the principle of “love thy friend as thyself,” “mutual guarantee,” and “as one man with one heart,” now is the perfect time for them to connect and to perform the correction.

The very moment and to the extent that they fulfill the correction, it will pass on freely to everyone else and will spread throughout the system that ties us and that is expecting a filling. We are the valve that blocks the artery and which doesn’t allow the upper Light to go through it.

Therefore, all the nations, feeling the lack of fulfillment, exhibit hatred towards us in different ways.. Our neighbors on the other side of the border are dreaming about destroying us, and this is an expression of the lack of correction in them, which we haven’t provided them with.

According to the structure of the world, we had to pass this correction on to them. It is like a person to whom I owe a million dollars, why? Because that’s the way the world is made, according to all the conditions. If I don’t give him the million dollars, he will have complaints towards me, and I will reply that I don’t know anything about it and that I don’t know what everyone wants of me.

I turn to the UN and to the whole world for help, and the other countries say: “You know what, we think he is right.” It is because they also have a similar feeling, but they are more distant from me. They also feel that I owe them something, not a million dollars like the neighbor, but let’s say ten dollars, and so they can wait in the meantime.

But they feel that I have a debt that is growing from day to day and the interest is growing. So we shouldn’t hope that they will come to us with a bouquet of flowers next time.

The current situation of the Israeli nation is different than it was in the past. We were spoiled by the impressive victory of the Six Day War, and we were very proud of our strength. That’s the way it has been until recently, but in the last operation “Pillar of Cloud” has made a correction for us; for the first time we didn’t come out as winners, but rather confused, perplexed, and beaten. It is a very important lesson, a great correction that occurred in each of us. We have to feel it deeply and not try to erase this unpleasant feeling.

We already understand that it doesn’t matter how we carried on this operation, it could not have ended successfully. It is totally useless, and we are only making the whole world turn more and more against us. For the first time we are starting to understand that we are helpless and cannot do anything. Next time, when things get worse in a couple of years, it will be even worse. This is a conflict that has no solution here and now.

It is good that we have reached this understanding that now forces us to find the real answer. We cannot win by using the same force that those who attack us are using.

I hope that now people will begin to listen to us, since they have no more solutions. Otherwise the situation will simply be hopeless. This problem has no rational solution that is based on sound logic of this world. But eventually, we will be threatened not only by our neighbors that are surrounding us on all sides, but by the whole world that would rise against us and take their side. Even now everyone is supporting them and we are not wanted at all. So what will we do then?

We will have to listen to what the wisdom of Kabbalah says, which explains that the solution is on another plane. It is impossible to solve this problem by conventional means, but only by the help of the upper force. This is why the problem is being revealed!

Everyone must experience the defeat deep in his soul, as if to go through a “washing machine” that washes away the last remnants of pride. At the same time we still acquire a wisdom that enables us to understand that the solution is on another level.

Now we can already turn to the nation openly and say: “Look, we are up against a wall! We can either break it (and the wall is inside us), or this will be our burial place. The situation is the same as the situation before Mt. Sinai where we accepted the condition: Connect as one man in one heart and by that reveal the upper force among us or that here would be our burial place.

Question: When we are talking about the people of Israel, about the Jews, who are we talking about?

Answer: About Abraham’s disciples who left Babel with him and called themselves “Israel,” which means “straight to the Creator – Yashar Kel.” They also called themselves “Jews – Yehuda,” which comes from the Hebrew root “Yehud – unity” because they wanted to unite. They called themselves “Hebrews- Ivrim – עברים,” from the Hebrew root “to transcend – maavar – מעבר),” because they wanted to transcend from one level to another. All the names are given according to the direction, the inclination and the yearning.

On the whole, there is a desire to receive. A small part of it is called Bnei Baruch (BB). Another bigger part is called the “Israeli nation in the land of Israel.” A bigger part is called the “Israeli nation in the diaspora.” Finally there is the part called “the nations of the world.”

Those who have a point in the heart (•) belong to the part called Bnei Baruch. The two parts of the Israeli nation are those who are in the meantime without a point in the heart, and the point of the heart doesn’t exist of course in those called the nations of the world. But those who “are in the land of Israel” have Reshimot (spiritual genes) from the point in the heart that they had before and is now concealed. Now an external pressure is being put on them. As for the Israeli nation in the diaspora, they have Reshimot, and a different kind of pressure is put in them—anti-Semitism.

The “nations of the world” have a point in the heart that is concealed even more deeply. It appeared thanks to the integration, when sparks of bestowal entered the vessels of receiving, except for the last part of the desire to receive called “the stony heart”. These are already called the “harmful of the harmful.”

This kind of division is possible on the corporeal level.

From a spiritual point of view, anyone who has a point in the heart belongs to Bnei Baruch, no matter what nation he belongs to in corporeality. Similar to the way it was in Babylon, a person enters a group if he yearns for the goal of creation. This is how we relate to reality according to the principle of Babylon.

Accordingly, people with a point in the heart feel that they have to correct themselves and the world. Those who refuse to acknowledge their mission, despite the Reshimot in them, feel an external pressure in the form of anti-Semitism or a threat to survival.

Today people are called “Jews” according to the external signs of appearance and ethnicity. These people also have to understand that they have to fulfill their role. All those who belong to the category of “Israel,” to the descendants of those who left Babylon and went through many reincarnations throughout history are responsible for the correction. Even if such a person doesn’t want to correct himself, if he isn’t interested in any kind of correction, no one is asking him. There is a Reshimo in his genes that awoke back in Babylon, and he has to fulfill it. If he doesn’t fulfill it, the whole world will demand the missing part in the correction from him.

People will simply react to the lack of fulfillment they have to receive through him, and no matter how “nicely he behaves” in this world, nothing will help. No one will take his nice behavior into account, since it only indicates one thing: He is not doing what he has to do.

It is time to explain openly what the mission of the Israeli nation is, the foundation of this nation according to which it has existed so far, and what our goal is: to pass on the method of correction to the entire world. This is the only way we can explain where anti-Semitism, the tension, pressures, and war in Israel stem from.

Only the wisdom of Kabbalah can provide such an explanation. Otherwise, people will not understand how the idea of connection will help us solve this problem. Suppose we were stronger if we connected? But, ordinary strength will not help us against the threat that is being revealed now. The fact that we have more missiles armed with nuclear heads will not save us, and, in any case, we will not be able to use them. We will not be allowed to do so.

We were placed under such conditions in this struggle that we find ourselves with our hands tied, unable to do anything. What have we achieved in the last operation? Tomorrow, things will only get worse. With this ceasefire agreement, we have only chained ourselves more tightly, and we are more obliged than before. That’s the way it is after every war, after every operation, which means that it doesn’t lead to any correction.

There is no logical solution to this problem. Clearly, next time, the attack will come from every direction, and no anti-missile device or “iron dome” will protect us. Everyone understands that everything leads to this: We simply will be faced with the options of either leaving this land of our own freewill, or an atomic bomb will be thrown upon us. Perhaps not right now but in a couple of years, our enemies will have such a bomb.

There are many other scenarios of what may happen, but I simply want to show you how desperate the situation is. We have no solution on the level of this world. Next time, the entire world will be unanimously against us, and everything is moving in this direction. What will we be able to do against this?

Even now there are calls in Europe for boycotting Israeli products. Eventually, no one will want to buy anything from us. So, what will we do if our economy and commerce collapse? We already crossed a critical point in 1995, and, now, we steadily are approaching the point of hopelessness from which there is no way out but the method of correction. We must urgently begin fulfilling it.

I don’t want to scare people, but we must open their eyes so that they will see the actual situation. In fact, any sensible person also understands that if this trend continues, there is no future for us and no solution. However, we must find out and clarify this to the end, and show people the only solution there is. Only this can work against this illogical situation since this solution is also illogical.

It is a very quick and simple solution. Let’s just begin fulfilling it. We have a break for several months, so let’s get to work! Let’s devote the time to it so that we all begin to study and implement the mutual incorporation and cooperation of the method of mutual guarantee. We don’t need anything but that!

We will see the results in a couple of weeks. The moment a person is incorporated in this study, his mind, his soul, and his heart all begin to operate differently and turn toward others.

Accordingly, we will feel an immediate positive effect. There is no delay in the spiritual world. We immediately will see how everything calms down, that there are fewer missiles, and that the economy grows stronger.

There won’t be any problems if we begin our self-correction. If we worry about spiritual problems, the corporeal problems will disappear. It is one of the two. Take the internal spiritual work upon yourselves and your entire corporeal life will work out. The Torah promises us that.

We have reached a state where we cannot wait any longer. We must do whatever is in our power to spread the message and begin explaining openly that the solution stems from the wisdom of Kabbalah since it is the foundation of the nation. We must explain this in many different ways and fill the Internet with this information so that everyone will see it.

Question: I have kids from Ashkelon staying at my place since their town is being bombarded now, and I have four kids of my own. Yesterday we also heard a siren, and now all the kids are asking: “Why are missiles falling on us?”

Answer: This problem is a constant part of our existence which is above nature. We have to find out why there is a balance between the forces that constantly bring us to such a critical state. We have to examine this state more internally, and then we may find an answer. After all, how much longer can we live from one war to another?

For the first time this war gives us a new feeling since the whole country is on the frontline. It has never been that way, but today it is safer to live near the border than in the central part of the country. The whole nation including families and small children are under the same threat.

The Gulf War in 1991 was perceived as a temporary threat that came from a distant place and only certain parts of the country were under attack. But now we see that a missile can reach everywhere and those who fire them do not take anything into consideration. Their goal is to hurt the civilian population as much as possible and to annihilate us.

The question is why are the missiles falling on us? This is usually attributed to the fact that we cannot reach an amicable agreement. As if it were possible to achieve peace, even with some concessions. We have already conceded one thing and then another, and even a little more, and then signed a peace agreement, and as usual, it was immediately thrown in the trash. After that, we had to fight again, and then re-enter into an agreement, and yield. And so on without end.

But this cannot continue indefinitely because we can see that each time the war and the threat is taking on a new character and larger scale. After all, today it is not just a clash at some borders; the whole country is open to attack from any direction. While the threat comes from only in the small piece of land in Gaza, what would happen if we were attacked on all borders and from the sea? In this form, it is simply impossible to exist.

So what is the answer to the threat, when it is clear that we cannot achieve any peace agreement with our neighbors? If you look at this situation from a rational point of view, it is clear that in the future, far or near, we cannot continue to exist. And what can help us survive and lead a normal life in this region and in the world?

Today’s missile attacks are only part of our problem. We know that we are surrounded by hatred. It isn’t only the Arabs that hate us, but the whole world. Anti-Semitism is growing every year in every country, and we cannot close our eyes and ignore this problem.

We have to start a deeper examination of the problem since we are living under illogical conditions and exist in an illogical way. It’s not clear why we have existed for so many years surrounded by a sea of enemies. So far it was thanks to the wisdom of our people and our success in armament. But we have to understand the forces, thanks to which we exist, and the actions we should take with regards to other nations, to ourselves, and the global nature.

After all, we are constantly drawing a negative response from everyone upon ourselves. So let’s find out what we are doing wrong. Apparently we have brought so much good to humanity! There is a long list of famous people who belong to the Jewish people, who have discovered great things and did so much for the world and its advancement. So why, despite all that, is there still such a negative attitude towards us?

Even from an ordinary point of view without getting into sophisticated materials, we see that there is a problem with the Israeli nation. It is special, it is wise and brings many innovations to the world. To a certain extent the world owes this nation its development in many areas. For ages this nation has done so much for humanity, but at the same time, the attitude towards it is totally the opposite: Instead of thanking it, it is blamed, punished, and suppressed in different ways.

The Israeli nation has laid the foundations of culture, education, and religions. It brought humanity morality even in barbaric times, but no one really notices that. Apparently there is a reason for that, subconsciously the Jews are not treated as any other nation, although people look for different real justifications for that; in fact, it all stems from an inner claim. People feel something against the Jews, and especially against the Israeli nation as a whole, although it is so dispersed, that sometimes it is hard to call it a “nation.”

The whole world is trying to solve this mystery. There are many opinions regarding this issue, some are true and some are less accurate. But it is in the wisdom of Kabbalah that we clearly find both the question and the answer about the special attitude towards the Jews. The wisdom of Kabbalah accurately explains how the Israeli nation is different, what its attributes are, what its debt to the world is, and how it can correct the situation: how it can “pay the bill” in order to make up for what is missing and reach the right correction and existence.

This is especially relevant in our days, when the Jewish nation has received its small “estate” on earth and is still unable to build the right conditions to exist.

There is an additional problem here—this nation, by nature, wants to be in good relations with others; it is ready to connect to and befriend any other nation; it would like to be in the same line with everyone and even inferior than everyone else, just to treat them well.

But everyone disrespects and rejects it. It is impossible to buy such a positive attitude with money, and it is impossible to constantly defend ourselves from enemies when part of the world comes to us with accusations and physical attacks and another part puts different kinds of pressure on us: ideologically, politically, personally, etc.

So there is a special phenomenon in the world, which different philosophers, politicians, and writers have studied, but no one understands the essence and the root of the matter, since the root of this phenomenon has always been concealed. It is great anti-Semitists like Henry Ford who managed to understand to a certain extent the reason for their feelings. They looked for them by trying to balance the feeling with the mind and to understand where their strong hate stemmed from, to study themselves and to find the source of this special attribute. Then, besides the negative attitude, they also found quite a few true and positive things in the Israeli nation, but it didn’t correct them.

They should understand that even if the world discovers the real reason for the negative attitude, they don’t correct the world by that. They have to perform different actions in the world in order to correct their attitude. And on the contrary, when they don’t correct themselves, they actually give birth to hate and anti-Semitism. So there is nothing to blame the world for; the whole thing is about their delay in keeping up with the “schedule of the corrections.”

It was clear from the very beginning that the operation “A Pillar of Cloud” would end with the signing of the ceasefire agreement. What do Israelis feel now? One way or the other, there is a large portion of frustration and humiliation in this feeling.

The era of “victorious” wars has long since ended, and each conflict now leaves a more bitter aftertaste. In fact, Israeli citizens are under constant threat, in the crosshairs of the enemies who are “hanging” over the roofs and can reach everyone. Today, they are still unable to send thousands of precision guided missiles, but tomorrow they will have the opportunity. It’s clear to everyone.

Besides, Israel is bound by a “peace agreement,” which in fact is no more than a truce, the same agreement about a ceasefire. And as soon as the “second party” has a good opportunity, it immediately resumes military actions without advance notice.

So, Israelis now have to live under the constant threat of a sudden strike, sudden terrorist attack, or sudden war…. All his life a person will have a “notch” in his mind: Where can he hide in the allocated seconds or minutes. And will he be able to? This applies to the whole country, without exception. And if the siren didn’t work, so, bad luck…

For the most part, terrorists can carry out a joint attack, firing from various border areas hundreds or even thousands of missiles in a short time in order to break the most “intelligent” shields. And there’s nothing you can do. Simply put, their missile is a flying iron “pipe” with explosives, and it takes years of work of the best experts and anti-missile systems to intercept it, which costs a lot of money.

In short, people feel or soon will feel humiliated and helpless. And this feeling will grow among the people, all the more so after the ceasefire. After all, the enemies still insist. They will quickly recover their arsenal and damaged communication without experiencing a lack of people and money.

It turns out that Israel is in a bind. It has no answer, neither military, nor ideological, nor political.

The world downright asks of the Jews: “Leave this ‘lot,’ get out of it, and scatter all over the earth.” For example, Russia will invite them to Birobidzhan where there is plenty of pine trees, mosquitoes, and degrees Celsius, however in the minus range. “Please, we are wholeheartedly ready to give you this wonderful area. Live as you like!” And the world will warmly endorse this initiative and even will throw in a few billion, which will be stolen….

Today, people don’t know about this, but the Jews were already moved there: They were taken at night, whole families, and put on trains. It took two weeks, and you have arrived. To a place where there was nothing….

But worse things have happened: In 1938, after Kristallnacht when people were already thrown in death camps, Nazi Germany allowed nine hundred Jews to immigrate to Cuba. However, the ship with refugees who tried to escape from death was not permitted. In Havana, they were not allowed to disembark; President Roosevelt did not respond to a call for help; the U.S. Coast Guard ships did not allow them to come to the coast of Florida, and Canada responded with an official rejection.

They eventually sailed back to Europe, to meet certain death. Only due to the efforts of the head of the European office of the Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, the ship was allowed port in Antwerp. As a result, about two-thirds of the passengers survived the war, and others, including the elderly and children, also perished in the concentration camps.

What did those people feel returning to Europe? They simply had nowhere to go. Everyone rejected them; the “civilized world” literally sent them to their death. And how far are the Jews from a similar situation today?

So, if today Israelis become aware that they have nowhere to escape, they will understand their purpose, they will understand that in this way they are forced to carry it out. It’s impossible to force a person to this in another way because by nature a human being does not accept the news of bestowal. So, the question is very serious: Either you want to find yourself on the doomed ship and wander, rejected by everyone, until you have accomplished your mission, or you get down to business in advance, without waiting for disaster.

Special Edition: Events in Southern Israel

History teaches us one simple fact: We are strong when we are together and we are weak when we are separate. This is the essence of our nation, to be responsible for one another, to be mutually responsible. The moment we violate our unity, we are attacked by enemies. This is our special fate: We are actually forced to be together throughout history.

The Temple was destroyed because of unfounded hatred. The disparity was the cause for pogroms and deportation every time. Even today we are not yet a nation. Our motto is that our flag is our unity. Unless we correct this “flaw” even ceasefires are given to us so that we have enough time to unite under easier circumstances.

The threats are growing, and we are surrounded by enemies who are becoming increasingly wiser and more decisive. On the whole, the external world is pressuring us constantly demanding more concessions from us. So if we want to survive here in the land of Israel, we have to understand what this land is. It’s impossible to survive here without unity. We have always known that it’s right to be together, so let’s return to our roots and then we’ll not only defeat our enemies but also will bring peace to ourselves and to the whole world.
