Where Does the Spiritual Stage Begin?

237Question: On one hand, it is said that “There is none else besides Him.” Every thought, every movement, and every sensation is the Creator. Everything is predetermined. On the other hand you say that every minute a person blames himself and judges others, but this is hidden from him. What should be done?

Answer: The correct attainment of the world begins when a person comes to zero and realizes that he does not exist. Everything is permeated by the Creator, everything is done by the Creator, and it is as if a person does not exist.

That is, all a person’s physical movements, all of one’s thoughts, everything one can imagine as one’s own is the person’s feeling of the Creator, who is in a person and determines all one’s actions, feelings, and plans.

When a person reaches such a feeling, then his or her joint work with the Creator begins. That is when it becomes possible to resolve all the questions that arise within you. Until then, you only need to work on annulling yourself.

It is necessary to strive to feel that there is none else besides Him in the most diverse states. This is the foundation, the first step from which everything begins. And after that, every stage will always begin with “There is none else besides Him.”

One Condition for All

944Question: It is said that prayer is the main Kli (vessel) for the presence of the Shechina. How can we find out our common Hisaron (deficiency) so that our prayer, our common Hisaron really becomes a Kli for the presence of the Shechina?

Answer: We want to find a common desire, aspiration, and intention in which we would all fit and want nothing else.

Question: What should be the purity of the request so that everyone has literally one thought?

Answer: The vision of our state in the final goal. We can see and feel this based on the fact that together we awaken the desire for the Creator, and He shapes us accordingly.

Question: How would you describe this state in the final goal that we should equally imagine?

Answer: I would imagine it as one desire, one state for everyone.

The Right Choice

527.03Question: In Rabash’s article “Seek Peace and Pursue It” it is written that war is a natural state, and people always strive for victory over each other.

But neither a rejecting force nor an attracting force can bring a person to a state of peace (rest). How to use these forces correctly?

Answer: You must constantly check yourself with the force that is within you, determine where the Creator is pulling you and where the body is pulling you, and from these two forces choose who you are with.

Question: It seems to be clear where the body is pulling. But how can I understand where the Creator is pulling me?

Answer: Toward the quality of bestowal. Therefore, the right choice will always be in the direction of the Creator.

The Ten Is Your Soul

528.01Question: I should always ask for my ten. But I have many friends all over the world. Is it right to ask for your ten first, then for the whole world Kli, and then for the whole world?

Answer: Let’s say you have many friends in the world Kli besides your ten. How should you ask? First for your ten, then for them? Or through your ten for them? Or leave your ten and ask for them?

The question is very specific, and I advise you to understand it clearly. You have nothing outside the ten. The ten is your soul. And if you ask for something or someone else, you should ask only through it.

You can ask your friends to unite to ask for someone outside the ten. But it must be a request from the whole ten. You cannot take your mind off it for anything else.

You can physically help someone in the world, but spiritually, you can only care for someone through your ten.

The Point of Connection in the Ten

934Question: Is it necessary to develop sensitivity to broken connections in the ten in order to realize spiritual suffering?

Answer: We do not need to realize spiritual suffering or think about it. We need to build ourselves on spiritual achievements.

Question: What is the identifier of the point of connection for the ten?

Answer: A common connection.

Question: What will each of us feel at this point?

Answer: If each person desires to enter this point of connection, they will feel the same as you do.

A Place for Correction

282.01Question: What is the place we need to provide for correction?

Answer: The place for correction is our desires, which we must transform from egoistic to altruistic.

In order for this place to become a vessel (Kli) for the Shechina, we must try to convince ourselves that we can only work with desires of bestowal.

Question: How do we properly integrate into the desire of another so that it becomes a Kli that can be filled?

Answer: It is not easy. It all depends on the nature of the other person’s desire. If it is already corrected toward bestowal, then there are no problems. But if it is still uncorrected and in an egoistic state, you first need to help the person correct it, and only then connect to that desire and ascend together with it.

Sukkot—A Special Opportunity to Correct the World

947We are not yet able to fully appreciate the greatness of the Sukkot holiday. It is a very significant and special holiday. During this time, the connection between all people and the Creator is revealed as we praise Him. He accepts our blessing, creates the correct connection between us, and elevates us to the degree of the final correction.

This applies not only to Kabbalists but to the entire people of Israel and, in fact, all the people of the world. Therefore, each person has the opportunity to thank the Creator for the spiritual elevation experienced during the holiday of Sukkot.

Sukkot is an internal state a person goes through on certain calendar dates alongside others who are in the same attainment and sensation.

The covering of the sukkah is made from what are called “the waste of barn and winery,” which come from places where human food is produced: bread and wine. Even from this waste, we can derive spiritual benefits if we relate correctly to everything given to us in this world. This means that I justify the Creator in all that happens and perceive everything as beneficial, even if it initially seems unfavorable.

In other words, I justify the work of the Creator completely, in everything He sends me, including the “waste of barn and winery,” and I thank Him for everything in the full measure. For me, the Creator is perfect and nature is perfect.

Everything that is revealed to me in my work to draw closer to the Creator is the result of the Creator’s work. Even the part of the work that seems like unnecessary waste, I must elevate and turn into a covering over my head, i.e., transform it into faith above reason, into holiness.

From one part, I managed to make “bread and wine,” and from what remained, which I couldn’t use as “food,” I make a covering above reason. I don’t discard anything from the Creator’s work; I even use the “waste” because the Creator commanded me to do so.

On regular days, I wouldn’t be able to use this, but Sukkot is a special time when there is no waste at all. Everything received from the Creator’s field can be elevated above the head as a roof. If I do this according to the Creator’s instructions, it becomes holy work.

Each Jewish holiday symbolizes and explains certain laws of nature, the nature of a person’s spiritual work, and their path of connection with nature. That is why it is so important for us to observe all the conditions of the Sukkot holiday. The further we progress, the more strongly we will feel this.

Kabbalists understand the forces at work each day and how to use them most effectively for the correction of the world.

The Great Task

214Question: You said that our world is not empty; souls live in it. Can we say that we are all companions in misfortune because we ended up in this lowly world?

Answer: Why in misfortune? Our world is indeed the lowest, but it was created by the Creator so that from it we could ascend to Him. Therefore, we have a great task. We are special.

So do not say the Creator did such a thing! He did everything absolutely right. We will eventually see how justified all His actions and intentions are.
