If Someone Distances from the Ten

528.03Question: If the Creator separates a person from the ten, what does He want to say to him and the whole ten?

Answer: The Creator wants to say that He does not want to bring a person in this form closer to Himself. Therefore, let him show to everyone—himself and the Creator—that he is ready to “die” to get out of the egoistic state and think only about his friends and the Creator.

Question: Is willingness to “die” an egoistic desire? Does it feel the opposite of gratitude?

Answer: It all depends on what a person is willing to “die” for. For whom, for what? You must figure it out.

Fix Our States

202.0Question: You said that we should as if “photograph” our states. Why is that?

Answer: For various reasons. We need to somehow fix our states—those we have experienced, those we are in, and those we will experience.

Question: So, it seems that the reality before us is as if sliced into fragments that we need to be disassembled like old scrap paper, and in their place we will discover new parts of the world that were hidden until this moment? Is this what correction and renewal are about?

Answer: Yes. We should strive to renew our thoughts, decisions, actions, and feelings, and in this way move forward.

Bring Your Desires to the Creator

95Question: Let’s say I see something better ahead and want to achieve it, but I don’t know how to do it. How can I work with it?

Answer: There is only one way to achieve it: always think only about gaining strength in moving toward the Creator. Then you will begin to feel Him more and more, and you will begin to understand how you can strengthen your connection with Him.

Afterward it is His work. You must bring your desires to the Creator, and He will correct them.

Constant Clarifications

219.01Question: Is the question “What does this work give me” a Hisaron (deficiency) that I address to the Creator and should I try to understand what I want to receive from Him?

Answer: What does the work for the Creator give you? That is something you can only clarify with Him.

Keep asking about this constantly, and after some time you will begin to receive individual answers here and there, which will eventually form a complete answer.

Question: Sometimes it is unclear whether it is the Creator answering me or if it is an egoistic desire with a hidden intention for me. How do I clarify this?

Answer: You do not need to analyze such a situation immediately, instead return to it after some time, and then again, and again. In this way, you will see how your understanding changes depending on your state, on the group, and everything else.

Obstacles Elevate

595.04Question: How can one come to a perfect practice of Torah and good deeds when you feel limited both in intellect and in capabilities?

Answer: A person cannot be completely limited. He is only limited by what he must cultivate within himself. Therefore, he is not faced with any special obstacles.

However, it is precisely those obstacles that a person encounters on his path to development that elevate him and lead to the right closeness to the Creator and resemblance to Him.
