The Highest Reward

243.01Question: Praying for a friend lifts a person above their body and frees them from egoism. Engaging in prayer for a friend feels like the highest reward. However, my ego puts up a wall in front of me that prevents me from entering this prayer, and it insists that I am unworthy. What should I do in this case?

Answer: What does it matter whether you are worthy or not. You simply desire to enter this state, and that’s it.

Even if you have not earned this reward, demand it anyway. None of us have earned anything. Absolutely nothing. That applies to everyone. So just demand it.

Develop Faith in the Greatness of the Creator

13.03Question: How can we develop faith in the greatness of the Creator?

Answer: We can develop faith in the greatness of the Creator through the support of our friends, group, and lessons and by striving to implement everything we study within the group and in our mutual connection.

We must continuously bless the Creator and aim to come closer to Him. That will be the outcome of our efforts.

939.02Question: Some friends have been on the path for 20 years, but I have been there for over a year. You say we will all come together to “give for the sake of giving.”

How can I understand this if I have neither the experience nor my friends’ feelings?

Answer: You have to place yourself among people who are involved; study and strive for this, and then you will feel the current will pick you up and carry you forward.

Question: We have a global ideological group. How will their support help us reach the level of “bestowing for the sake of bestowal” at the upcoming congress?

Answer: You must hold on to them, and then they will support you.

Change Your Heart

562.01Question: The more I cry, the more I realize that these are tears for myself, and I want to cry for the Creator. How can I do this?

Answer: To do this, you need to change your heart, your desire. Only then can you cry for someone else. Otherwise, all your tears will be for yourself.

Question: How can I change my heart?

Answer: You must ask the Creator for that. But here you have an advantage because the Creator especially hears those who want to change their hearts. That is what you need to ask for! Only for that!

The Soul Strives to Rise

294.4In the process of correction, souls ascend the degrees of the spiritual ladder in the upper worlds. This means that the desire to receive, which has been clothed in the form of bestowal, ascends upward through correction.

The upper light descends to the degree where the desire resides. If the desire can align itself with the light by annulling itself to such an extent that they merge into a single whole, the light lifts it to a higher degree.

Thus, a soul can be described as a corrected desire to receive that has united with the light and aspires to ascend further upward.

214For this reason, when Israel engage in acts of bestowal, there is a decline to the nations of the world, whose root is only reception of pleasure for themselves (Rabash, Assorted Notes, 371, “ A Ladder Set on the Earth”).

Question: What is the benefit for the nations of the world?

Answer: That all nations become closer to each other, understand each other better, strive for unity, and can also attain the Creator.

Question: How can I test myself in relation to the state of the world?

Answer: Simply wish for it to happen. That is all.

Question: There are two to three million students in our world group. Can we turn eight billion people toward the light?

Answer: Of course we can. I am sure that we will succeed; otherwise, I would not waste time on this.

629.3Question: The Creator enjoys when I receive from Him. How can I match His properties?

Answer: The Creator enjoys fulfilling us. Therefore, each of us must come to a state where he also enjoys fulfilling others.

Question: Can we rejoice creations by receiving from them?

Answer: We cannot do that yet.

Question: But I feel pleasure when I see that a person annuls, when he yields to me. I can enjoy it just the same.

It turns out that our pleasure is not only giving to each other, but also receiving from each other?

Answer: Yes.
