Tomorrow, the International Kabbalah Convention begins. Every second, new friends from all over the world are arriving, and tomorrow, they will be joined by friends from across Israel. In the physical center of the convention in Israel alone, more than two and a half thousand people will participate.

What guidance can be given here? Simply to wish each one to desire to feel others within their heart. This is the most correct and beautiful intention.

Strive to be as close to one another as possible, and do not utter a single word that is not aimed at clarifying love.

Question: Is it love or the fire in our hearts that is the indicator of bestowing to the Creator?

Answer: The indicator is the connection with the Creator. Initially it is not entirely accurate to call it love. However, after some effort we will start to feel what will happen if we strive correctly for the connection and what it will look like then.

Gradually we will begin to unite with others as complements to one another, as support for one another, and so on. Eventually we will develop a desire that will bind us, and we will receive a response from the Creator: who we are, what we are, and what we are going to attain.

Question: How are thoughts connected to feelings?

Answer: Thoughts govern both the mind and the body. Therefore it is crucial for us to bring ourselves to a state in which we feel only one desire. If we achieve this, it means that we are tuned correctly.

Question: What exercise should we do in our hearts to correctly direct our thoughts?

Answer: If your heart is open to your friends, you will clearly feel that what you understand now is exactly what they are saying. To direct your heart to a friend means that you wish to be united with them in one heart so that your desires align.

You want to feel the questions together as if you are the ones asking them and the answers as if you are the ones answering. This is very important.

You should imagine that the questions being asked are directed personally at you, and you are personally answering them. If you listen to the entire convention in this way, you will feel how you are being filled.

Comment: I direct my heart straight to the Creator, and I feel that I prevent Him from clothing in it. And I cannot understand where I should strengthen myself—either in the power of Aviut (coarseness) that is directed toward the Creator or in the purity of my intention to bring Him contentment.

My Response: You need to strengthen yourself in unity with your friends who are present here so that throughout the entire congress you are with them as one whole.

World Kabbalah Convention “Connecting to Lishma,” Lesson 1

Question: As I understand it, a person in the state of Lishma is aligned with one thought, with one desire of the Creator. What is this thought of the Creator, and how can it be isolated and cleared from the hundreds of desires that are constantly arising, even now during the lesson?

Answer: At the convention there is a certain atmosphere that everyone can enter. Then our thoughts and desires become more powerful.

When thoughts and their actions that manage our feelings unite and reach a certain magnitude, then we will feel that we have our internal Kli—desire and intention. From this moment onward it will be easier for us to return to these thoughts.

Question: When a person prays to the Creator and receives a response from Him that seems to encourage him to delve deeper into his egoism and see his negative qualities, what does this indicate?

Answer: This means that a person should delve more deeply into himself, and then he will be closer to the Creator.

Question: How does one discern which desires he receives from the Creator and which are under the rule of the evil inclination? How can one know which desires to work with?

Answer: Gradually a person will feel what comes from the Creator and what originates from himself.

Question: Yesterday there was a worldwide women’s gathering as preparation for the convention. At the end of the gathering we felt like one woman. How can we maintain this feeling and bring it into the convention?

Answer: You need to maintain the connection among all the friends so that there is such unity in which you promise not to separate from each other, and then everything will be fine. You will immediately begin to add more and more to the connections between you.
