The Difference Between Kabbalah And Psychology

laitman_547.05Remark: There are many psychologists taking our Kabbalah courses. One of the lectures is even dedicated to explaining the difference between Kabbalah and psychology because it is not readily apparent.

My Comment: Psychology deals with a person’s behavior—with an egoistic being of our world. It studies the ways he reacts to things that happen to him.

Kabbalah deals with revealing who influences a person, what happens to him and what under influence, how he should prepare for his reaction, and so on. That is, this is a completely different level.

A Kabbalist and a psychologist have not only different goals, but also different audiences. One deals with ordinary people in our world and the other with people who study Kabbalah.

Question: Do you think that one who is attracted to common earthly psychology will not be drawn to Kabbalah?

Answer: Let him study psychology and not confuse it with Kabbalah. It will only harm him.

Bring The Creator Into Your World

226Question: When a person brings the Creator into his world, tries to justify Him, does it become psychologically easier for him?

Answer: If an individual begins to perceive the Creator, he discovers a completely different life: different concerns, different goals, different horizons!

There is no longer a place for psychology. The revelation of the Creator to someone in this world opens before that person eternity before him: completely different dimensions, different coordinates, different measures.

Answers To Your Questions, Part 211

Laitman_089Question: Is there a correct use of the desire to nag and whine or a desire to slander?

Answer: Someone who yearns for the Creator does not have this kind of desires and actions.

Question: In your opinion, what is honesty? And why do I feel that it can already be used in the world, but I don’t see that the Partzuf Galgalta implemented it? Who else should raise MAN so that the Light of the direct path to the Creator would pass to the world of Assiya?

Answer: Honesty is gradually acquired to the measure that the egoistic deposits of one’s heart are exhumed. Each one raises MAN for the others and for the Creator.
