The Most Important Intention

Laitman_051Question: Is “there is none else besides Him” the most important intention in everything that we do?

Answer: You should also add that the Creator does everything and therefore everything is correct and for a person’s good. And you see it incorrectly to the extent of your incompatibility with the Creator’s attributes.

Question: Should I think about why I do everything I do during the day if I want to reveal the Creator? What should the answer to this question be?

Answer: First we should always ask, “What should I do and for what?” Then I should decide whether to perform that action or not and implement my decision.

The Wisdom Of Kabbalah And Religion

laitman_265Question: Are you moving away from traditional Judaism?

Answer: Without a doubt. The reason for this is that we must reveal the knowledge about the world we are living in to people. This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah reveals. It teaches a person how to discover the world that is hidden from him, more precisely, to discover the Creator, because nothing except this “field of life” exists.

Religion teaches a person mechanical actions that he must carry out in order to mechanically, but unconsciously, conform to this field. It aspires to hold a person only at the level of implementing instructions. This form is convenient for religious domination and also subordinates a person because everything is clear: carry this out and you will receive a reward!

Kabbalah explains that through this acceptable mechanical implementation, a person’s state is called “exile” from spirituality, meaning exile from feeling the Creator.

This period of performing mechanical actions ended in the time of the Ari in the 16th century. The Baal Shem Tov, the great follower of the way of the Ari, began to introduce the wisdom of Kabbalah to the masses in a practical form. Opponents rose up against him and a war began between the supporters of the revelation of the Kabbalah to the people and those who opposed this movement.

Currently, the religious part of society carries out the Mitzvot (commandments) mechanically, and a large part of society is moving further and further away from any tradition. I believe that it is specifically for the part that is “moving away” that it is necessary to reveal Kabbalah, the heart of Judaism, the true Torah, the ability to discover the Creator. When people don’t find answers to the meaning of things, they move completely away from the Jewish people. The example for this is American Jewry.

Studying the wisdom of Kabbalah reveals the possibility and opportunity to discover the Creator.

Our Bnei Baruch organization invites anyone interested in entering spiritual life and the feeling of eternity, because it is said that “they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them” (Jeremiah 31:33), “and all nations shall flow unto it” (Isaiah 2:2). Any resistance to us will disappear in the future, both by our opponents and by that part of society that still doesn’t perceive that the wisdom of Kabbalah brings freedom from all troubles and an ascent to the sensation of wholeness. This is because human egoism is growing constantly and pushes a person toward discovery of the Creator as “help made against him.”

“The World Economy Is On The Verge Of Collapse”

laitman_222In the News (Free Press): “The world economy has entered a phase of development when all lose. This is what renowned investor Bill Gross, who until 2014 headed one of the largest bond funds PIMCO and now heads Janus Capital, published in his “Monthly Investment Outlook.” According to the financier, the deadlock situation is clearly visible if we analyze the pace of credit growth in the world.

“Gross notes that the average annual credit growth was above 9% until 2000, today it is less than 4%. ‘Credit is the fuel oil heating the system, and if the system is unable to generate sufficient credit growth, real economic growth stalls or even goes in the opposite direction,’ – says Bill Gross.

“To illustrate, the financier gave the example of the board game “Monopoly.” When all the properties are bought up and all the objects built on them, the players just have to walk around to complete ruin….

“If translating Gross’ postulates into the language of classic Marxism, we have now entered the stage when the production relations come into conflict with the productive forces. And accordingly, the inevitable collapse of the current economic model will transition to the new.

“According to professor Valentina Katasonova of Moscow State Institute of International Finance, the current crisis can end very badly for the inhabitants of the earth:
– Today, the demand for money in general is falling in the world, there is overproduction. It is issued as an unlimited and uncontrolled operation of printing machines for the so-called ‘quantitative easing.’ When there is an overproduction of goods, prices fall, and when there is an overproduction of money, interest rates fall. Today, many banks around the world have negative interest rates on deposits, and some central banks have negative interest rates on bank operations. Recently the sensation thundered in Denmark and Belgium, where some commercial banks issued mortgage loans at negative interest rates. In general, there is a theater of the absurd. …

“The main thing is that no one has any idea how to get out of the dangerous situation. At the Federal Reserve the choice is between bad and very bad. …

“The current model of the world economy leads to unemployment and mass starvation. …

“Seriously, the problem of the current owners of the money – is to drastically reduce the population of the planet. It is not necessary to conduct a war, people can be poisoned with harmful products, impairing them. The remaining people will tire out in an “electronic concentration camp.”

My Comment: Against our will, nature is moving us toward the next level of development. We are still clinging to the old, as people who have matured physically but haven’t developed mentally. Money is the equivalent of labor and relations, all the property that there is in society, but it can only be the wealth that exists in nature, gold.

It is necessary to return to a gold standard until we completely eliminate the banknotes and begin to produce only what is necessary for everyone and with equal distribution.

Why Do We Suffer? Part 3

laitman_600_04Question: It is hard for a person to overcome suffering: the loss of loved ones, illnesses. What is the essence of overcoming?

Answer: Suffering has a special role in our lives; it develops us. During its history humanity went through many phases of evolution developing societies and families, and all this was due to suffering.

This follows from the fact that we emerged from the shattering, from the one shattered soul called Adam HaRishon. Therefore we find ourselves more and more shattered in order to be able to correct ourselves more and more.

This is why from generation to generation, even from year to year, and in our time already from day to day, new phenomena, deficiencies, personal and general problems, and a crisis of humanity and society are revealed in the world. Previously these problems didn’t exist and suddenly they have arisen seemingly from beneath the earth, but this is exactly what moves us forward.

Suffering develops us, but to what extent?

The correct response to suffering, first of all, is to understand its purpose. Otherwise, we are like animals in a field running away from blows but suffering reaches them again. People rush through life until they die without reaching anything good.

And what is really the purpose of life? Is it just to escape from suffering the way we do? What is its meaning?

We rejoice giving birth to children, but they grow up and leave home. We study so much in order to get a profession, and then work all our lives and are left with nothing, because everything ends with death.

A person looks for some compensation for his continuous suffering. Even our pleasures are a way to escape from suffering. Obviously this is not the purpose of life. Actually the greatest suffering eventually revealed to the person in the modern world is the realization that with all our intellect, high level of development, strength, and technical capabilities, we don’t understand anything about life.

Why do we live, for what purpose? This is completely unclear. Suffering keeps us alive because we are afraid of death and we invest a lot of efforts in order to somehow distance ourselves from this moment. Although eventually we agree with the inevitable and humbly surrender to the current until we die.

It means that the greatest suffering is that a person doesn’t feel that he is the master of his life. He doesn’t know what he is living for and what the benefit of it is. Therefore young people don’t want to get married, have children, and get a profession, but are attracted to drugs, trying somehow to fulfill themselves.

Now, we do a thorough audit of our lives, and against the background of the unfolding crisis we still want to understand the meaning of life and its essence. The suffering from the meaninglessness of life becomes overwhelming, and this is the result of our high level of development. Previously people didn’t even think about this.

A hundred years ago there wasn’t less suffering, but the question about the meaning of life never arose. And today this question even torments children who don’t understand why to study and obtain a profession. The spiritual development has reached such a level that a person must know whether he should live and why. Therefore, antidepressant and drug use are so prevalent.

We need to make a big effort to uncover the source of the common suffering of man, i.e. teach them how to fulfill this common empty desire. Above the usual desires for food, sex, family, money, honor, and knowledge, an additional question arises, what do I need all this for? Why do I need food, sex, family, money, honor, and knowledge?

All these fulfillments are a kind of a drug with which I fill and soothe my desire to enjoy. So why chase fulfillment, isn’t it easier to just take a pill? This approach kills a person.

Shopping centers are crammed with a variety of products and all kinds of clothes. People go somewhere, fly, travel; they just don’t know how else to fill themselves, what other “drugs” to take in order not to feel suffering. But suffering still comes.

Therefore in our time the wisdom of Kabbalah is revealed, and I hope very much that it will help humanity to understand that it is not enough to soothe ourselves with all kinds of “drugs” in the form of food, sex, family, money, honor, and knowledge. It’s time to reveal the true, original source of suffering and begin to fill it with real fulfillment.

The real fulfillment doesn’t lull us to finish the material animalistic death. This suffering raises us upward and instead of the earthly death, we find an eternal life. Let’s hope that humanity will understand what opportunities are opening for it.

But all this is due to suffering, therefore we must not soothe it, but appreciate it. After all, in it is the foundation of life. The correct management of suffering and its fulfillment in every moment is an engine for the correct development that leads to the eternal life.

New Life 525 – Understanding The Law Of Life

New Life 525 – Understanding The Law Of Life
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Suppose we arrive in a strange country and without knowing the laws there, we encounter many problems. So are we really in a network that runs the legality of world forces. We don’t know it, and thus we suffer.

The Book of Zohar tells about this law and enables us to enjoy life in our world. We suddenly begin to understand that life is going to be increasingly more difficult because we don’t know this law.

Then we will begin to adapt ourselves to the world and the world seems to become adapted to us in return. The moment we improve our egoistic qualities, the world will seem like a different world, a corrected world.

When we change our approach from receiving to giving, to uniting, to bestowal, and even to love, it opens up the world for us. The sages who discovered this a long time ago couldn’t tell us about it until today because we weren’t ready to digest it. We depict the reality that we experience.

We will not be able to change our life for the better if we continue to operate from within our egoism. Therefore we only destroy the world more and more from one year to the next. We need to change our approach, and in order to bring about a positive change, we first have to learn the law according to which the world is managed.
