Connect Everything to the Creator

610.2Question: How can one not feel evil when it is really revealed in the world? How do we justify the Creator’s governance?

Answer: We are obliged to justify the governance of the Creator in all cases, whatever they may be. We must constantly return ourselves to the state that any revealed evil leads to good, to correction, to improvement of the state; otherwise we would never change.

The perception of everything that comes to us and attributing it to the Creator depends on us. Moreover, one must relate to everything in such a way that there is none else besides Him, and thus make efforts in all circumstances not to break away from the feeling that this comes precisely from the Creator.

Question: When evil or some kind of suffering is revealed, can a Kabbalist align this with the Creator and enjoy the connection with Him?

Answer: When a Kabbalist feels evil and understands that it seems to come from the Creator, he raises himself to a state in which he feels that it is truly good.

In this state he connects with the Creator, and this connection gives him pleasure and the opportunity to justify the Creator.

The First Step to Connection

629.1Question: Wars and fear for oneself, for one’s life, still drive a person into the same dead end where he wants to save himself and not think about others. How can we feel the friends and other people? Where can we start to feel that we are on the correct path?

Answer: To do this we need to ask the Creator to help us connect with our friends so that we feel not ourselves, but our common unity, and thus we move forward.

The first step toward connection begins with the fact that we want to rise above ourselves and connect together in one desire and in one intention toward the Creator.

Feel the Same as a Friend

530Question: How do we understand what we really invest into each other as much as we can? How can we increase our sensitivity to the other in order to feel what he or she needs at this very moment?

Answer: It depends on your attitude toward him or her. You have to put yourself in his place, make sure that you feel him. In this way, you will gradually reach a state where you will feel the same as he does.

Who Will Help if not the Friends

934There is one main question: How can a person help himself get out of a descent? In fact, a trusted remedy that saves us in the most difficult conditions is the help of a friend. The friend is at the same degree, the same level, and in the same nature as me.

And if I am not able to save myself and rise from the state of falling, then I can do it with the help of a friend. When a friend connects with me, he can add strength, energy, and awakening to me, and thus save me.

Therefore, if we want to advance and climb the spiritual steps higher and higher, then we have the only means, which are to look for friends so that together with them, by helping each other, we can ascend into the spiritual.

There is no one to expect help from, except friends. The main thing is to support each other and hope that friends will help. In fact, the whole system is built in such a way that we must unite and move forward together. Therefore we have no other option but to help one another. We will all unite, and the greater the connection, the greater the ascent, the higher and higher we rise toward the goal of creation.
It turns out that it is possible to climb the spiritual ladder only to the extent that we unite and help each other.

It is necessary to understand that by helping a friend, I am actually helping myself. By wanting to give strength to a friend, to help him climb his spiritual degrees, I raise myself up. With the help of “they helped every one his friend,” we can rise higher and higher.

Once the final goal is reached, everyone connects with everyone, and everyone incorporates into a friend and a friend into him, and we all turn into a system similar to the first man, Adam HaRishon. But the power of this system, this Adam, becomes 620 times greater than what it was before.

Due to the fact that the Creator created this system and then broke us, He gave us the opportunity to connect above our egoism. And when we overcome our separation, our egoism, we raise ourselves to the peak of human existence 620 times higher than the one we had at the beginning of creation.

Therefore the more we connect and interconnect with each other, starting with a ten and then wider and wider, we get much closer to the final correction and eventually we will achieve it.

Open Your Heart to Love the World

504Each of us lacks only one thing—to try to open his heart. If a person opens his heart, in comes love of friends, which is the root of the love of the Creator. That is, love of the Creator is established in him, and he begins to feel the upper force.

Love of friends is a necessary condition; it is the stream through which love of the Creator flows, absolute love. It solves all problems and connects all hearts. And then a person begins to feel what is really happening in the world.

A person realizes that there is no material world but only absolute love called love of the world that embraces him from all sides. And in the light of this love, he reveals the whole reality, the whole universe from one end to another.

Efficient Work

939.02Question: If I have caught the feeling of dissolving into my friends, how can I work effectively with this in order for everyone to advance?

Answer: When we unite with our friends in one ten and then in tens, in hundreds, and in thousands, the more we unite in this way, the more we will feel the common Kli, the upper light that will come to us through all the friends.

You need to join your friends and carry all the upper light, energy, and love for absolutely everyone through yourself.

“Rising Global Antisemitism: A Dark Reality Despite Mainstream Support for Israel” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: “Rising Global Antisemitism: A Dark Reality Despite Mainstream Support for Israel“

Despite mainstream global support for Israel following the tragic events of October 7, there has also been inescapable looming antisemitic sentiment, crimes and threats around the world. These include:

Spikes in antisemitic rhetoric in social media, including celebrating the October 7 attack on Israel’s civilians, calls for further aggression against Israel and its supporters, and a surge of antisemitic conspiracy theories starting from the same day as the attack. (Source: ADL)
Four times more antisemitic incidents in the UK since the attack than in the same period the previous year. (Source: BBC)
A variety of antisemitic expressions from naming Jews in the diaspora as dirty/filthy Jews, accusing diaspora Jews of dual loyalty, blaming Jews for killing Jesus and for purposefully targeting Palestinian children in Israel’s attacks, waving Nazi flags, a crowd shouting “Gas the Jews” at a pro-Palestinian protest in Sydney, a break-and-enter at a kosher restaurant in London with “Free Palestine” spray-painted on the cash register, and vans painted with “Holocaust never happened” and “Hitler was right” in Florida. Jewish students at US campuses reported verbal assaults, and three Salt Lake City synagogues were forced to evacuate due to a bomb threat during pro-Palestinian rallies following the war’s outbreak. (Source: AJC)
The Day of Rage declared by Hamas’ former leader on Friday, 13 October involved more than twenty countries holding pro-Palestinian protests, and made emotions run high. In New York City alone, some people, like Marc Schiller, who attended a synagogue in Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Friday, sought solace and strength in his Jewish identity, drawing inspiration from feeling a need to stand in solidarity with Israel. Others, however, became extra cautious. For instance, some Israeli musicians opted to cancel their participation in a Friday service in Manhattan, citing concerns about being part of large Jewish gatherings. Also, beyond the Jewish community, many people in general chose to stay home in order to avoid public areas. The responses within the Jewish community, however, show stark contrasts that highlight the complex interplay of pride, fear, anger, trauma and solidarity within the Jewish diaspora at a time when Israelis themselves also deal with a swell of emotions as they deal with the aftermath of the tragic events on October 7 and head into war.

Many wonder why Jews in the diaspora often face animosity for situations taking place in Israel, especially when many Jews around the world do not identify with or support Israel. The answer is that a lot of people have a problem with Jews, period. This can lead to hostility not just against Israel but also against Jewish people as a whole.

If there had been any doubt that Hamas was solely against the existence of the State of Israel prior to October 7, the terror attacks of that day clearly and painfully displayed the organization’s genocidal antisemitic intent. Even US President Joe Biden made well known to the public in his remarks following the attack that Hamas is “a group whose stated purpose for being is to kill Jews.” But it is not just Hamas that has tried to shadow its Jew-hating sentiment under an anti-Israel and anti-Zionist disguise.

Kabbalist Yehuda Ashlag (Baal HaSulam) stated that Jews are “hated by all the nations, whether for religious, racial, capitalist, communist or for cosmopolitan reasons, etc. It is so because the hatred precedes all reasons, but each merely resolves its loathing according to its own psychology.” That is, hatred of Jews is deeply rooted in the fabric of human nature, and it transcends individual psychological explanations and sociological analyses.

In today’s globally interconnected and interdependent world, where the pains or the joys in one place can spread to the other side of the world in an instant, in order to maintain equilibrium and stability, Jews from all backgrounds must foster unity above their differences. The Jews’ unifying influence would then radiate positively through today’s complex web of globally-established connections.

In his article, “The Arvut [Mutual Guarantee],” Baal HaSulam expressed that the Jewish people were “constructed as a sort of gateway by which the sparks of purity would shine upon the entire human race the world over… until they develop to such an extent that they acknowledge the pleasantness and tranquility that are found in the kernel of love of others.”

When this unifying influence is absent, the world falls prey to the grip of human egoism, fueling hatred and division. And the more people feel problems and crises entering their lives, the more they feel instinctively that Jews are to blame.

While many in the world today identify antisemitism as a growing problem, the effort to combat the phenomenon, whether through education, diplomacy, advocacy, awareness campaigns or dialogues, only address the surface symptoms and fail to approach the issue at its core.

Education is indeed necessary, but it should aim at raising awareness of the natural system we all live in and share. This system develops its every level—and most significantly humanity—to higher levels of unification. It was this ability to unite above divisions that established the Jewish people in their very beginnings (the Hebrew word for “Jew” [Yehudi] comes from the word for “united” [yihudi] [Yaarot Devash, Part 2, Drush no. 2]).

If the Jewish people activate a unifying spirit among one another, they act as a conduit for such unity to spread worldwide. When people feel the positive effects of a unifying spirit entering their lives, the negative antisemitic sentiment will invert to a positive feeling that Jews serve to bring harmony and peace to the world. It is as Rav Abraham Kook once wrote, “In Israel lies the secret for the unity of the world.”

The Dome of the World

272I pray that all soldiers at the frontline return home in peace, that the war will end, and that all the people in the world will understand that war is the greatest evil that can be, and that we will live in a world in which there will be no more wars; there will be no more hatred but only connection.

Today, in our state, with such enemies and haters, it seems like a perfect utopia. And yet, we want peace to reign over the whole earth so that the revelation of the Creator appears above us and covers and protects us like a dome of peace.
