There is nothing but one thought—the thought of creation, which includes everything. Only we, the creations, do not yet understand or feel this. But we are within this design and are governed by it. All our work takes place within it. This thought is the entire creation, its design, and there is nothing else besides it.

“Everything is resolved in thought,” and everything was created by thought. There is no matter; all of reality is encompassed in thought. Interestingly, modern scientists, being absolute materialists, say that the universe is thought. And researchers of the human brain claim that all our thoughts, desires, and decisions exist outside the person and the brain is merely an instrument that detects this thought and transmits it to us.

Thus, science is gradually approaching the fact that Kabbalists discovered long ago, that there is nothing in existence but the Creator’s design, and we exist within it. And although we divide reality into forces, matter, feelings, and intellect, in essence, only the Creator’s thought operates, and we exist within it.

We need to attain this thought of the Creator’s regarding creation, and then we will know Him, not He Himself, but His attitude toward creation. There is only this one thought. And all the various opposite qualities that we perceive are meant to reveal the depth and uniqueness of this thought.

There is none else besides Him, but we attain this fact from the reverse side, through the multitude of actions and manifestations of the Creator toward us, which are very diverse and contradictory.

And it is precisely all these paradoxes and contradictions, which do not allow us to understand or accept what is happening, that push us toward such development that, above knowledge and by uniting all opposites, we attain the Creator. It is impossible to attain Him in any other way than through two opposites that merge and complement one another.

Question: Am I dependent on the thoughts of my friends or on my belief that they are thinking about me?

Answer: On one hand, I am dependent on the thoughts of others, on what my friends think about me.

On the other hand, if I am in a state of ascent, I can affect my friends more than they affect me because in my ascent I am above the group. And in such moments, I can have a greater impact on it.

Question: You said that we should see the difference between our initial state and our current one. I feel that I do see this difference. But how can I be sure that it is not just my illusion and that real progress is happening?

Answer: You must keep persistently demanding connection with the higher Partzuf, which clothes itself in you and moves you forward.

Question: How can one correctly redirect one’s thoughts toward the Creator?

Answer: I think there is no need to think about it too much. You simply need to understand how to adhere to the Creator. And if you can do that, you do not need anything else.

Question: Why is faith important in spiritual work if a person wants to know the truth?

Answer: Faith in the spiritual sense means truth. So it does not matter who is asking or how they are asking.

The main thing is that you ask for what is truly necessary for your further advancement toward the goal. And then there will be no problems.

Question: In striving to achieve mutual guarantee, is it possible that we are directing too much effort outward instead of acting within ourselves?

Answer: This might be valid if we didn’t find in practice that engaging in external dissemination unites us, gives us confidence, strength, and upliftment, which we receive back from the communities we serve.

By building something outwardly, we thereby build ourselves. It is impossible to say what the correct balance should be. We try. This, essentially, is a kind of action called “we will do and we will hear.”

We see that we are constantly undergoing changes. One must act according to the understanding of one’s state. What else can we do? This is our path, because seeking and discovering is that practical work through which we carry out clarifications and corrections.

To aspire toward the final state is good. But by discovering different things now and performing tiny actions, we generate details of perception without which the end of correction cannot be felt.

The difference between the end of correction and the beginning of creation lies only in the added details of our perception (Avchanot), which we collect along the way.

You return to the same state, only inside yourself you become more diverse and more refined; more opposite details of perception and distinguishable inner qualities appear within you.

This is what allows you, instead of being a point merged with the Creator as you once were, to become a Partzuf and truly existing on His level.

Gradually we begin to see that the people of Israel have no hope for success in economics, security, international recognition, and not even in simple material existence. We exist in this world as a completely useless part of it, and the world despises and hates this part.

This is a law of nature! We are all within nature, and its law is that the entire human part of the world must be in adhesion with the Creator. This is what we must bring everyone to.

We have a method that helps the human part, each and every one, come to equivalence of form with the Creator, due to which a person begins to feel that there are higher components besides his animal part within him. Even in his animal part, he also feels himself in serene peace, in perfection and eternity.

That’s all! The method of how to be happy is in our hands! And this we must reveal to everyone, and first of all to our own people because they are destined to suffer more than others. So let them know why they suffer; it is because they must implement this method before others and teach it to the rest of the nations.

The Creator Himself, as it were, cannot give the Torah to all the nations, cannot bring humanity to the highest level of existence. This can be fulfilled only through us.

Question: How can we distribute our efforts in the most effective way so that they lead us to mutual guarantee by the shortest route? What practical actions should we perform?

Answer: We see that these actions lie in such areas as study, support for the existence of the inner group, and external dissemination. All these things relate to the practical part and are the means for us to achieve the realization of mutual guarantee among ourselves. And if someone thinks that there is any other means, then we must check whether this is so.

Ultimately the goal is one: for a group of students drawn to spirituality to understand that they are obliged to achieve mutual guarantee. This obligation must become a necessity to such an extent that it really attracts the light from above, which will correct them and lead them to the level of mutual guarantee. This is called “we shall do and we shall hear.” We are ready to do anything, if only this condition is realized in us.
