Question: What does it mean to let the Creator work on me?

Answer: To avoid such questions, you must understand the language of Kabbalah. The absolute, positive, and only existing force of creation is called the Creator.

Besides this force, there are small negative forces specially created by the Creator, which include us. We are made this way solely to attain the positive state, the Creator, from our negative state.

The Creator is a constant positive force. There are no changes in Him. When we say that the Creator nears or distances from a person, does something, or creates something—none of this is true. This force does not change or it would not be perfect.

Apart from it, an evil force called Adam was brought into existence; it is opposite to the Creator and must do everything possible to become equal to Him, to resemble Him. Precisely because the force of creation is evil, it can perceive the Creator as opposite to itself.

But it cannot change its nature on its own. The only thing it can do is receive the opposite, positive force from the Creator and sort of dress it on itself as its intention. In doing so, it remains egoistic, receiving, unable to change anything within itself. However, if it receives the intention to bestow from the Creator, it can work in receiving for His sake. That is what must happen to us. That is what we strive for.

Then we will become similar to the Creator. But similarity lies not in the action itself since we cannot emanate or bestow something from ourselves. We can only receive, but we can do it to bestow.

In other words, if we stand before the Creator and He wants to bestow to us, we need to add only the intention to bestow to our quality of receiving so we receive for His sake. Then we become similar to Him, equivalent, because in spirituality, not the action itself matters, but its meaning.

Receiving the intention to bestow is our correction.

Question: What does it mean to create pressure in the ten?

Answer: We need to create such tension between us that it pushes us out of this world, out of egoism, out of shattering, out of the distances between us. It should compress us together, and we should find a state where we are connected.

As soon as we touch this state, we will immediately feel the Creator within it.

Question: How can these groups that are far from us help create pressure on us? After all, we are here, and they are there.

Answer: What do you mean by these groups? We are all participating together in the spiritual process! It is a great armada. But most important is to set the direction and the overall tension toward universal connection.

We must create such an effort, such cohesion within ourselves, that everyone can participate. That depends on us.

Question: Is my task to serve the ten and create the conditions for all the nine friends to unite?

Answer: By doing this you are serving yourself, and not them. Your egoism seems to tell you that you are you, and they are them. In reality, they are the spiritual “you.”

Question: I understand that all my actions regarding the ten come from the mind, from pure calculation, and not from the heart. How can I learn to ask for strength from the ten to move on?

Answer: First of all, asking is good. On the other hand, you must understand that gradually from your efforts you will develop all kinds of feelings, thoughts, and connection with them. You will begin to understand how to quickly create contact with them, and you will become a master of your craft.

Suppose, when you start working with some kind of material or some unknown construct, you do not understand much. But gradually you get a feeling of what you are working with, what it really is.

In the same way, we do not yet have an understanding or feeling of what a ten is. And when you start working with one group, another one, and still another one, trying to gradually connect to them, a structure of this object will begin to get created inside you. In this way, you will begin to feel within yourself what a spiritual Kli is.

You will have a grasp, an understanding, of how the ten changes. Therefore, try to be in different tens all the time. The main thing is to begin to connect. Anyway, all of us, all of humanity are one big ten. So there is no problem being in different states.

Question: I don’t have the strength to annul myself. How can the ten help me with this?

Answer: First, by example, and on the other hand, by pressure, when the ten shows you that you must cancel yourself in front of them.

Second, you must help your friends with everything, i.e., fulfill all the work conditions Rabash writes about in the ten. By observing them, you become an embryo inside the ten, and the ten turns into your mother’s body.

And when you all finish this work and cancel yourselves before each other, you get ten mutually cancellable egoistic desires. At the same time, you become a full-fledged spiritual embryo. There will be no reverse movement; you will begin your intrauterine development.

Your development will occur in the Creator, in the quality of bestowal and love. As it is said, you will begin to feel the upper world: The embryo in the mother sees the whole world from edge to edge since it completely cancels itself. Therefore, it sees absolutely everything, even what it does not see after birth.

And then there are the days of its development. “Days,” changes, a constant, ever-increasing glow of light and an ever-increasing nullification of oneself in this light. It is the development of the embryo. On one hand, he develops egoistically, and his egoistic mass manifests increasingly in him. On the other hand, he cancels more and more of this mass growing in him and thus grows.

Question: Can we say that we start entering into mutual guarantee egoistically?

Answer: Of course, only egotistically.

Question: How does this mutual guarantee advance us toward the Creator?

Answer: We cannot advance using only egoism. But for now, that is the only power we have. We do not have anything else yet! Do you want to immediately jump to the level of bestowal, love, and connection between each other? From where?

There is an entire ladder and by climbing it we gradually accumulate the desire for the right connection, for bestowing, when the general becomes higher than my personal “I.” This does not happen immediately but under the influence of the higher light.

Question: What is the result of the ten being in a state of mutual guarantee?

Answer: If you do not feel yourself but feel the ten, take it into consideration, think together, desire together as if you have no internal life of your own, only a common one, and when you suddenly separate from the ten you feel as if your oxygen supply has been cut off, then this is the state of mutual guarantee (Arvut).

Question: If a friend in our ten goes through a state of descent and we feel it, how can we help him?

Answer: If a friend is going through a bad spiritual state, we must support him.

Understand that each of us experiences a spiritual state for the group and not for ourselves. We go through descents, ascents, and changes in our states only because the whole group needs it, not just one person.

Therefore, if I look at a friend and see that he is in a descent, he is not in it. The whole group, through him, must study this descent and pick it up. And so through each of us. We must perceive ups and downs as being given to the whole group together. In spirituality, we strive to be one.

How can I look at a friend and say if he is on a descent or an ascent? That is where we are! He experiences this alone because we have not yet united. And to the extent that we unite, we will feel all the descents and ascents of everyone together.

Question: Is it possible to connect hearts when some in the ten disagree that this is the only way to hear the voice of the Creator?

Answer: This is not good. We must reach a state where everyone desires and performs the same action and expects the same result.

Question: Sometimes friends say that they hear the voice of the Creator without connecting with the ten. How can that be?

Answer: I do not know. I do not believe that a person can do this without first connecting through acts of bestowal with other friends.

Question: Can the part of the group that agrees with this condition hear the voice of the Creator?

Answer: It is not likely that this can be achieved without the support of the entire ten.

Dam (blood) means Demama (silence/stillness), as in, “And Aaron kept silent,” and “Be silent for the Lord” (Rabash, Letter No. 32).

Question: What is this power of silence? What is it expressed in?

Answer: It is a state when a person agrees with everything that comes from the Creator and agrees to remain silent.

Question: How can one correctly follow the Creator?

Answer: Following the Creator correctly means finding out in the group how fully you are connected with the inner power of the ten, and then you can be more or less sure that you are taking the right steps. All internal actions are performed only through the ten.
