Answers To Your Questions, Part 213

Laitman_917.01Question: Are prophetic dreams and deja-vu characteristics of the soul or the body? How is it possible to get rid of them or how can one live with them if they are impossible to get rid of?

Answer: They disappear as one thinks about connection with the Creator.

Question: I once asked you how I could find a profession in this world and you answered that this would become clear according to the degree that I study Kabbalah and work in a group. I understand this, but as far as it seems, in the meantime, my work in a group is not enough. What should I do if I don’t understand what I should be doing in this life and how I can make more money (since in any case it is necessary to earn money for the family and children)?

I suffer because I don’t understand what I want, what my tendencies are, and I don’t know where to go to not make a mistake. I want to do my own thing if I must still work. Sometimes it seems that something is becoming clear, but I ultimately become even more confused. How can I orient myself in all of this?

Answer: It is necessary to provide for the needs of the family first, and then become involved with Kabbalah. A profession must be most useful for both goals!

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Must we acquire spiritual senses to read The Book of Zohar or is The Book of Zohar what shapes the spiritual senses?

Answer: It is both this and that. The Book of Zohar shapes and develops spiritual senses, and simultaneously explains what the person perceives.

Question: Is it worthwhile reading The Book of Zohar independently? Is this liable to be harmful?

Answer: No, this will not be harmful and there is no need to be afraid. You can listen to The Book of Zohar lessons that we broadcast regularly.

Question: What does my ability to perceive depend on?

Answer: Your perception ability depends on the degree to which your senses expand.

Question: Does contempt for the opportunity of developing through the power of The Book of Zohar lead to the development through the painful way of suffering?

Answer: Development is not necessary through The Book of Zohar; development happens through studying Kabbalah, and The Zohar is one of the Kabbalah books that helps a person discover a perception of the upper world.

Question: Is it enough for me to read The Book of Zohar regularly to achieve true happiness?

Answer: No, the main thing is for you to be in a group. In this way you will expand your perception and and begin to feel the upper world through the group.

Question: Can The Book of Zohar reveal and show me the connections between people in this world at the level of the upper world, which governs their destiny?

Answer: Yes, but this again is in a group. The connection between friends creates a sense of a higher state in a person in which he perceives forces and characteristics of the upper world that are revealed in a group.

Question: What is the most important thing in The Book of Zohar? Is it its origin or the content itself?

Answer: The most important thing in The Book of Zohar is the upper Light, which descends on a person through its proper use.

Question: Have all the texts of The Book of Zohar been deciphered?

Answer: Yes, absolutely all of them have been deciphered. None of the text in The Book of Zohar speaks directly about what a person reads; the meaning is allegorically concealed in its words.

Question: When I read The Book of Zohar, answers to questions are revealed to me, but then additional questions appear and my mind becomes chaotic. Should I try to make order of this or simply turn off my intellect and let The Book organize everything itself?

Answer: You will not be able to do anything with what you got from reading. The best thing is to start studying correctly.

Love Of A Jew

laitman_938.02Question from Facebook: Does “Love your neighbor as yourself” only apply to Jews? Is it important for a Jew who studies Kabbalah to love all the people on Earth, for example: Ukrainians, Russians, or only Jews?

Answer: The Torah speaks about the general structure of the world. As it is written: “My house shall be called the house of prayer for all peoples.”

Question: So, you call the Torah a world book?

Answer: Of course. It is a world book and it is a world religion that was provided to all of humanity in ancient Babylon in the form it existed at that time. But only a small group of people accepted it; they were a few thousand people from all over Babylon who joined Abraham. Therefore, we can say that it exists not only for Jews and must apply to everyone.

The law of “love your neighbor as yourself” is the main law of the Torah. But first it must be realized by the followers of Abraham’s group, and then the whole world will accept this idea. The world has no other choice because everything is so connected in nature that we will still have to act in this way among ourselves—to lead ourselves to good mutual understanding.

Question: Who should love the one who studies Kabbalah? Who is the neighbor?

Answer: The neighbor, in the end, is everyone. But the realization of this idea should begin with a small group that will expand more and more.

At the same time, nationality is not important. After all, a Jew is not a nationality, but a gathering of all the small nations who lived in ancient Babylon and followed this law. This is an ideology.

Therefore, today, if a person, let’s say a Frenchman by origin, becomes Jewish, how does he change? He becomes Jewish by his spiritual purpose.

Yehudi (Jewish) comes from the word “Chibur,” “Yichud” (Unity). Israel means straight to the Creator. If a person aspires to it, he can be called a Jew. It is enough for him to accept this law. Nothing else is needed.

Laitman_917.01Question: Did the Ari know about The Zohar?

Answer: Certainly! Beginning from the 13th century (the time of Rabbi Moshe de Leon) all of the Kabbalists studied The Book of Zohar. Thanks to this, the wisdom of Kabbalah coexisted with the usual religion all these years.

Question: It is written in The Book of Zohar that a person is a small world and the world is a big person. What does this mean?

Answer: It means that we were created in the image and likeness of the world and the world in our image and likeness.

Question: Does the higher illumination have a color?

Answer: It has all the colors of the rainbow.

Question: Is The Zohar suitable for a reader of any denomination, and will it work in any case if you read it carefully?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah does not belong to religions or faiths, only to a person. It was discovered by humanity thousands of years before the appearance of all religions and faiths. It is the science about the management of our world by a higher power and it has nothing to do with any religious actions, departures, and everything else humanity created for itself. It is absolutely egalitarian, equal for all.

Question: Why have particular people been given the opportunity to discover the wisdom of Kabbalah and others have not?

Answer: It depends on a person’s desire. Ultimately, everyone will strive to reveal the wisdom of Kabbalah and attain the meaning of life. But at the moment, ask any person on the street if he has a need for this and he will answer that he doesn’t.

Question: Is it necessary to sit in a cave to open the Torah?

Answer: For the authors of The Book of Zohar there was no other way; they were forced to hide. They were given such circumstances from above, which drove them into a cave and helped them write The Book of Zohar.

Positive Egoism

laitman_562.02Question from Facebook: Is there a positive egoistic force?

Answer: No. Egoism cannot be positive because it detaches a person from any collective, from community, from connection, from nature. At the same time, the direction of human thought is only for oneself, for one’s own sake. Therefore, it cannot be positive because it is in the opposite direction from the general force of nature—from the Creator.

Question: So is it always destructive?

Answer: Always. It is good only when a person is in the initial stages of his development, like a small child. We allow him everything: we let him use his ego because it is necessary for his development. And then, from the age of 13 to 15, he must already control himself as an adult. And we begin to demand more and more from him.

It is similar to our spiritual development. At first, we were egoistic and went through a long egoistic path for thousands of years.

But now the egoistic progress is already coming to its end and we are obliged to start the next, completely different half of our existence—the altruistic one. Just as a person is considered a child, say, up to 15 years of age and then must lead the life of an adult.

We see that egoism has ended its development.

Question: What is progress now?

Answer: It is only a person’s transformation from an egotist to an altruist, when he will render himself and the whole world as a single whole. Only then can we properly and beautifully exist and evolve. Otherwise, we will lead ourselves to destruction.

Answers To Your Questions, Part 201

Laitman_088Question: Society has been trying to create artificial intelligence. The basic laws of the universe clearly regulate this point. The importance of understanding the fundamentals of the programming of reality is simple. Can you explain these simple and important fundamentals?

Answer: This is precisely what the wisdom of Kabbalah is about. But it is difficult for a person to understand this because he is constructed differently. The egoistic mind is incapable of thinking in terms of the spiritual world that is opposite to ours. So only the influence of the upper light will change us, and when it does we will be able to begin to think according to the laws of the upper world.

I Love My Egoism

115.06Question from Facebook: I love my egoism. For others it might be a problem, but not for me. Why should I do anything about it?

Answer: You don’t have to do anything about it. But others around you who are also egoists do not want to do anything about their egoism either. And little by little you will begin to devour each other. Eventually we will come to a place where we will need to begin to cooperate because technology and nature is arranged against the individual. The surrounding world is entirely closed and integral. And all this exerts a great deal of pressure on us.

We cannot be different. Our innate nature is egoistic. And it is beginning to devour itself. We see that humanity is losing its orientation to freedom, the future, and even to caring about children or family, etc.

If we simply want to drag out our existence and die out like dinosaurs, then it’s fine. But if we want to live, we need to change ourselves. And nature is showing us which way to change.

Question: Is the statement “I love my egoism” correct?

Answer: It’s completely true. But what can we do? We will need to part with the method used now. Receiving only for ourselves, using our egoism only for our own benefit, will not work. We need to learn to use it for the common good, and then you will be fine, and your egoism will be very comfortable.
