Everyone’s Task Is To Be Integrated In A Circle

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What is the task of the individual within the overall system?

Answer: Everyone’s task is to realize his mission. Each one is integrated into some circle and receives a form similar to the upper. A circle is a higher and more whole form.

The force of the upper influence clothes us from all sides. Inside, in the circle closest to it, is Israel, and within this circle are the nations of the world. The more “round” Israel becomes and more close to the higher power, the closer it can bring the nations of the world, increasing the influence of the higher power on them. In this way all three circles become connected: the upper, the middle, and the lower.

How Did the Dispute Between Abraham And Nimrod End?

Dr. Michael LaitmanHistorically, the wisdom of Kabbalah begins in ancient Babel where all of humanity encountered a new state. Before that, people lived a simple life which everyone understood. Everyone wanted to succeed and they somehow got along with one another. Suddenly, however, they felt how much they hated one another and could not get along.

Conflicts broke out and their pride grew so much that allegorically this period is described as a time when people wanted to build a tower to reach the heavens. It was a very dangerous situation, a real civil war, an internal war.

Many people tried to resolve this sate and many wise men at the time realized the reason for the crisis. The reason was that all of humanity was in one place and people were tightly connected to one another; the integral system was revealed among them, but their relationships were not good.

They had two choices: either to improve the connections between them, which means to correct themselves, or to draw away from one another and break the connections. If a connection is bad and cannot be corrected, then they have to separate.

Thus, two schools were formed: At the head of one was Abraham who said that human nature must be corrected and people should connect by love, understanding, brotherhood, and closeness. At the head of the second school was Nimrod who spoke about drawing away from one another, like a couple that is getting divorced today since they cannot get along.

Humanity followed Nimrod, decided to separate, and dispersed all over the world. This state continued until the end of the 20th century when the same state people felt in ancient Babel is recurring. Once again we find ourselves connected, not in one small place but all over the globe.

Now we cannot resolve the conflict by using Nimrod’s method of drawing further away from one another. There is nowhere we can draw away to because the integral connection is fully revealed among everyone. There is no choice now but to follow Abraham’s method, which means to correct the relations between us by correcting man’s nature.

This is the state we are in today. This is why Abraham’s method, called the wisdom of Kabbalah is revealed today, which explains how to correct our nature so that the connections between us will be good.

Installing New Programs Within Oneself

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: At the lessons, lectures, and in books, you talk about some balanced state of humanity. But, at the same time you emphasize that the whole world is found within a person. How is it possible to combine these things for someone who, for example, doesn’t study with you and has no possibility of receiving an explanation from you?

Answer: When we delve into the world from the viewpoint of high-level psychology and physics, we begin to see that it works quite differently.

On the Internet, there is a vast amount of material about this subject. Scientists, psychologists, and sociologists are already beginning to understand this. People understand that this world is not what we see in our minds, in our five senses, but it is something else. So what is it? It is possible to feel by changing our organs of perception, our program of thinking?

And, it is not necessary to be born anew for this. It is enough to stay the same person. Just as we can install a few programs in our computer, so is it also possible to install a few programs in us. For this, however, we need to study. If a person wants to come to me as a student and become included in our framework of studies, then he will gradually acquire this system.

Meet Reinforcements With Joy

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Do we have enough Haman (egoism) rising in us to keep the group in the heart and to act in order to bring pleasure to the Creator?

Answer: No, it is not enough. We still need to add a lot of egoism to ourselves. It will be added to the extent of how we are engaged in connection between us and in dissemination, but mostly in connection.

After all, the egoism that we need now is the egoism which we will be able to reveal between ourselves, sitting at a round table, that will act between us in such a way that we will want to reject each other. We will not want to participate in joint activities; we will disagree with each other; perhaps, we will become estranged from each other. We need precisely this egoism.

It has yet to grow. But it will increase only if we understand how to deal with it and will meet it with joy.
