Question: Why does the soul require correction?

Answer: From the start, one single creature existed called a soul. So that the creature can feel independent and attain the greatest blossoming, meaning the level of the Creator, it must pass through shattering and correction.

Therefore, in our world each one receives a small part of his soul. In each one of us there is a small part of the general soul called Adam HaRishon (the First Man) or simply, Adam (a desire). The fulfillment of the soul is Light.

In fact, the creature doesn’t feel itself in the beginning of its creation because in it there was very little desire and a very small Light. To bring it to a state resembling the Creator, the soul was broken into 600,000 main parts, and as a result of continued division, it became a multitude of many more fragments.

In each fragment, meaning in a small individual soul, there is a desire and its fulfillment also. During the shattering, these fragments began to feel independent; partitions appeared between them, as there are between people, and they began to feel cut off, torn off, and detached from each other. This rejection is called egoism. And at present it is necessary to gather all the fragments and bring them to their original state, to connect them into one general desire and fill them with one general Light.

But where then will the egoism disappear, which separates us as such, that each one is imprisoned in his Klipa (shell)? Nowhere. It is up to us to connect with each other against the egoism, and then we receive a Light that is 613 times greater than it was before.

In this way, instead of feeling a tiny bit of life: cold here, hot there, a bit of light, a bit of shade, we begin to feel piercing states. We feel, “with whom we have business,” who is giving us power and life, how it is possible to relate to the Creator and enter into a connection with Him: “I am to the Highest, and He is to me.” In other words, we begin to attain the Creator and rise to His level.

Question: How can The Book of Zohar be useful if only its fragments were found?

Answer: The Book of Zohar was indeed written in a very large volume; it possibly contained about a hundred books.
From this ancient book we got, maybe, only a tenth part. However, we do not need more.

When Kabbalists began to explore this book ten centuries ago, starting from the 11^th century, they found out that they did not lose anything. After all, The Book of Zohar only sets the person to the correct perception of the Creator, and then he goes by himself according to the principle “One’s soul teaches him.”

Therefore, what is not written in The Book of Zohar, you open and write on your heart, that is, on your corrected desires.

Question: Don’t we need to know the commentary on the words that we do not understand?

Answer: If a person already perceives the upper images of the Creator in himself, then he does not need books.

Remark: But we are talking about those people who are first-time readers of The Book of Zohar. They read and do not know what these words are about.

Answer: It does not at all matter whether they know or not. The main thing is that their aspiration to attainment evokes a special force, called Zohar – radiance. People who study Kabbalah selectively attract the surrounding Light, and it begins to purify them, raise them, and change them, up to the point where they become capable of feeling the upper world, the Creator.

Question: Does The Book of Zohar write about the laws of communication between people?

Answer: Yes, but nowadays they are not revealed to us as the laws of communication. The fact is that first The Book of Zohar affects a person in such a way that it attracts the upper Light that purifies and changes him, correctly connecting him with others. And then, in connection with other friends, he begins to reveal its meaning.

Question: Do I understand correctly that the main creature is man and all other types and levels of creation exist only for him?

Question: Why were the dinosaurs in existence for hundreds of millions of years? Does a Kabbalist know what made them extinct?

Answer: All the inanimate, vegetative, animal, and human life are gradually transformed into higher forms.

That is why the ancient fern and other plants became extinct, as did various kinds of animals. Even minerals have changed. According to researchers, you can tell how many million years old a particular rock is. Everything happens naturally.

The same holds true for the people. Just look at how different people living today are from those who lived a hundred or a thousand years ago. Even in their appearance, not to mention their level of consciousness.

If I were to teach Kabbalah today the way Aristotle and Plato wrote about it, claiming that the soul depends on how deeply a person breathes, I would be laughed at. Can you imagine what the great thinkers of the past wrote about?! With a deep inhalation and exhalation we fill our soul. And they really believed that is what the soul is.

Today, those great minds of their generation would look like silly boys if they remained on the same level because the constantly developing desire develops us. That is why we can not compare ourselves to other generations.

Question: Why must our world exist for 6,000 years? What is the meaning of this number, and why does the Creator limit the time of correction for us if time doesn’t exist?

Answer: You are absolutely right. Time and distance don’t exist, and even we don’t exist in the same form in which we perceive ourselves. It is all imprinted in our sensations, nothing more.

Our feelings are graded in such a way that particular influences are felt by us as temporary and other influences as a change in the space around us, changes within ourselves and the like.

These influences are all forces that act on desire. There are only two components in the creation: a force called “Light” and a desire created by it. The influence of Light on the desire awakens all kinds of changes in its form.

Therefore, everything that seems to us as existing in this world—including time, movement, distance, and changing ourselves in relation to the environment—is actually happening within us, within our desire.

Does anything exist besides that desire? No. How do I know this? It is because I feel myself only within this desire. And the rest? All the rest don’t exist; I feel them all within my desire. Except for desire, there is nothing in us.

Therefore, we can speak only about the desire and about the influence of the Light on it. This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches. 6,000 years are 6,000 levels through which the ego (the desire) must pass in order to resemble the Creator.

Question: Can the world exist for tens of thousands of years more?

Answer: You can attain resemblance to the Creator today and you can attain it in another ten thousand years.

Comment: But you say that 223 years remain for the existence of the world.

Answer: This is about levels, and I say this to give a person an idea about that sequence within which he exists.

Question: Why were the worlds created before the soul?

Answer: Because the worlds are brighter (a smaller ego) and are weaker than the general desire that was created by the Creator. Each of these desires on the levels of 0,1, 2, 3, or 4 builds its system, which is made of five Partzufim on the background of the upper Light. Each Partzuf is made of five Sefirot, etc., and they make up concentric circles in which the soul exists.

Question: Is it possible to see the parallel worlds to our world in which the level of the still nature, the vegetative, and the animate were first created and only then man was created into this environment?

Answer: Yes. It is exactly the same thing. This is how man was created in the worlds and he also begins to develop according to a system of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, the still, the vegetative, the animate, and the human levels of nature. When he completes his development the human nature is also divided into the same levels: 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 and so on. This means that every part is divided in subparts and its own sub-levels.

Question: Does this means that these worlds are also desires, but simply are coarser?

Answer: They are desires of the still level. A pencil, for example, has a desire that comes down to preserving the shape and the attribute of its creator.

Question: Is there a pencil in the spiritual world?

Answer: Of course. It is a spiritual force by which man can write down his thoughts about his desire. A desire is the heart.

Question: How did Abraham attain spirituality by himself, without any help from others if we need a group, books, and a teacher in order to attain the upper forces?

Answer: During the time, from Adam until Moses, people attained everything in a totally different way.

During the first 2,000 years of human evolution, there were special greatly enlightened souls called Chabad.

During the 2,000 years that followed, the souls were coarser and are called HGT, which refers to the generation that was in Egypt and then the desert generation and the generation of the First and Second Temples.

Now, it is the end of the last 2,000 years when the lowest souls are descending into our world.
