632.3Question: Is “faith above reason” always some kind of deficiency in the mind and feelings that I need to compensate for? Or is it preferable to remain in the sensation of the Creator despite opposing feelings?

Answer: If you feel that you have faith above reason and it fills you, then you have nothing more to worry about. You should focus only on how to thank the Creator.

Question: Can we consider failure as success, the meaning of which we will understand later?

Answer: No, we must still act, and in these actions feel the Creator’s attitude toward us.

Question: How can one maintain focus on building spiritual Hisaron (lack) in any state and patiently await joy from it within the ten?

The Essence of the Spiritual Screen

232.05Question: We are trying to conceal our desire to receive in order to connect with our friends in the ten. How can we achieve revelation in our work with the help of the screen?

Answer: I want to receive the upper light on my egoism, which, by elevating me above the ego, will help me connect with my friends and, from our connection, turn to the Creator.

The essence of the screen is that with its help I work with my egoism and transform it into the quality of bestowal in order to connect with my friends and with the Creator. In response, the Creator gives us the strength to accomplish this.

“He Should Take a Wife Specifically from His Family”

032.01Question: What does “he should take a wife specifically from his family” mean in spirituality?

Answer: It refers to the connection between souls—closer and more distant ones. Our forefathers and foremothers were, in a sense, relatives. This is written about in the Torah.

From a spiritual perspective, a “wife” represents a person’s connection with the Creator, which helps them reveal the upper.

Question: Am I correct in understanding that we must have a desire to receive for the sake of bestowal? Is that what “from his family” means?

Answer: Yes, any reception must be for the sake of bestowal. It develops from our soul.

Help your friends with what they need, and you will see that in doing so, your own desire to receive for yourself will fade.

Questions about Spiritual Work—203

963.4Question: We have love for the Creator. How can we put it into practice? How can we search for what each friend is lacking in order to understand how I can fulfill them?

Answer: Ask, demand. The Creator will explain to you. He will show you what needs to be done so that you can fulfill Him.

Question: What does a lack of spirituality in the ten mean? How can it be felt?

Answer: It means that the ten is not working on raising the greatness of spirituality within themselves.

Question: On one hand we want free choice, but on the other hand we come to “there is none else besides Him.” Should the prayer be the same in both states?

Answer: No, the prayer can be anything, any words, any feelings. It does not matter.

Question: When can we press the Creator more: during an ascent or in the feeling of a descent?

Answer: In the feeling of a descent.

Question: When you feel the suffering of the nations of the world, the only consolation and joy is that everything comes from the Creator. But this sounds somewhat egoistic since I know there is none else besides Him, while the nations of the world do not know this. How can I convey this feeling to them?

Answer: Convey it in any way possible: write articles, compose songs, sing. Do whatever you can to help them realize this.

How Can We Work with the Desire to Receive Correctly?

239Question: How can we work correctly with the desire to receive in order to fight the evil inclination in the best possible way?

Answer: We must pray and ask the Creator to give us a desire to receive that we can use for the sake of giving to Him. That is, everything that comes from the Creator, we accept, receive, and bless Him for what He has done for us.

Question: What should we do with the sadness that comes when one does not receive fulfillment for all his desires?

Answer: This means he is incorrectly connected with his friends and the Creator.

The correct connection is wanting to receive from the Creator only with the intention to bestowal. And the more he receives, the higher he raises his receiving Kli, and the more he gives.

Learning the Qualities of the Wise

943Question: How does the body learn the qualities of the wise? How can we help this happen?

Answer: We help the body by trying to unite and to raise a collective prayer. This is how we attract the upper light that corrects us.

Question: Can we assume that a small self-annulment gives us the strength for the subsequent slightly larger annulment?

Answer: Yes, it always happens that way. Therefore we never stop, but we constantly clarify even the slightest problems.

Question: How do we rise above mind and reason to learn the quality of the wise?

Answer: Only together through a collective prayer to the Creator.

What Does the Creator Respond To?

253 Very often we ask ourselves: What does the Creator respond to? The Creator responds to everything directed toward common correction, toward the purpose He expects from all of creation. Therefore, a true prayer is a prayer for connection.

Of course, everything else is also necessary, but it should be used as needed to ensure our requests are not overly egoistic.

The best way to turn to the Creator is when I pray for my friends. That is perceived absolutely clearly and aligns perfectly with His field, and thus, a connection between Him and me appears. This connection may not yet be obvious or tangible, but it is already a form of interaction.

From an Imaginary Reality to the True One

935The world has entered a state where it is beginning to destabilize itself because it needs to ascend to the next degree. Its highest degree is called “Adam” (man) since all of nature is divided into four levels: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human.

We are approaching 6,000 years, the end of human history. We think that the Earth is spinning and will continue to spin. No, the Earth will not spin forever, because the world is merely our perception of ourselves and our surroundings. In and of itself, it does not exist. Without us, there is no world. This entire reality exists in our imagination.

We must understand that the time has come for us to transition from this reality to its next level, the spiritual one. That is, we must move from a world that exists based on the methodology of connecting egoistic forces to a world that exists according to the methodology of the quality of bestowal.

This transition is achieved only through the connection of people when we strive to come closer to one another and ask the Creator to give us the force of unity. But we must feel the need for it; that is, we need to create such a negative potential within the group, such a need for this force, that the Creator is truly revealed between us, and the force of unity begins to govern us. Then, through us, as the head of the Partzuf, this force will flow to all other parts of humanity.

So the Creator’s Answer Sounds within Us

232.1Question: You said we need to turn to the Creator so that He shows us how to act and we need to strive to fulfill this. How do we receive this recommendation correctly from Him?

Answer: It is very simple. Just as we work with one another, so it is with the Creator. It is even easier with the Creator. We turn to Him with a desire to find out what exactly He wants from us, and then we try to fulfill His desire.

Question: How do I know that it is His desire?

Answer: If we ask the Creator a question, then it is in this very channel that we feel His answer.

Ask and you will feel that the Creator is answering you. His answer will sort of resonate within you. But it is better if the request is built through the ten.

Question: To rise to the next degree, we have to imagine it. It is illuminated to us by the Creator, but we do not know what it is. How to imagine it?

Answer: You don’t have to suffer and imagine a new degree. You just have to find out what the Creator wants at this moment and fulfill it. And so it is each time, at every degree.

Fulfill the Creator’s Task

938.03Therefore, if we hold on to the learners of the Torah and become strengthened by them, so they can draw the power of Gevura, we will have the full measure of the blessings and we will be able to extend blessings on the whole of Israel. (Rabash, Assorted Notes 354, “Abraham Gave All that He Had”)

To draw the power of Gevura means to attract the forces that a person feels they lack. We must strive to gain the strength to go against egoism.

This work is distributed among us according to our natural desires, intentions, and qualities.

Therefore, each person should find out the specific task the Creator has set before them and gradually work toward fulfilling it.

To “hold on to the learners of the Torah and become strengthened by them” means that you seek to connect with your friends and support each other in advancing toward the goal.
