Comment: The influence of the environment on a person is enormous. For example, an African who grew up in Russia becomes the same as all Russians.

My Response: This is natural because you take an individual and let him develop under the influence of the environment. But this has nothing to do with Kabbalah.

This can be attributed to religions, to all kinds of beliefs, philosophies, anything, and in whatever may fall within the framework of this world for an ordinary person.

There are very few individuals in the world who are concerned about elevating themselves and following the point of their soul; there are very few of them in the world, maybe a couple of million, for whom the earthly does not exist. They consider everything earthly to be an animal level of development; therefore, they must rise to the next level of “man.” Their discernment takes place according to a completely different system.

A man is the term for one who achieves the quality of bestowal. That is, one who makes a complete restriction on one’s entire animal part, feeding it only what is necessary like with a domestic animal, and directing everything else only toward bestowal, toward connection with others, and to filling outside of oneself— aimed ultimately at the Creator.

Comment: The consequences of nuclear war are already being seriously and calmly considered. It is painted that as a result of nuclear explosions, soot and smoke would be emitted into the upper atmosphere. It would prevent the sun’s rays from reaching Earth.

In the first month after such a war, average temperatures would drop by 13 degrees. In the first hours of the war, about a hundred million people would die. A sharp drop in temperatures would destroy agriculture. Approximately two billion people would starve. Ocean temperatures would drop sharply and algae would die, which means that the chain of  fish, fish farming, and so on would die.

Yet people continue to live, travel, think about the future, and somehow plan a vacation. No one cares about it, although the realities have approached very closely.

My Response: What can you do?

Comment: At least talk about it.  Not just write about it but talk, to wind up the world—that we are approaching this, that this is the future of our children and grandchildren, and so on.

My Response: What for? Are you ready to sell sedative pills? What are you going to do this for?

Comment: On the contrary, now I have the feeling that the world has taken these sedative pills, and I do not want them to take them! I want them to go on without pills, to scream, to howl to start: “What are we doing? How is humanity approaching this?”

My Response: Will it help?

Question: You tell me. If everyone starts talking about it, if everyone worries about it, writes about it, and makes films that it is necessary to stop it, necessary to start disarmament, will it help or not? We already passed this stage more or less, and it did not work out. What about now?

Answer: Now it will not work either. People are used to this fear.

Question: Then will the disarmament of the world begin?

Answer: No. There is no need to disarm or think about it at all. Then everything will be aimed at giving Jews the opportunity of the desire and commitment to arrange the world so that it becomes better, kinder, more concrete, interconnected, and so on.

You cannot do anything else. We will not need any weapons or anything. There will be nothing to do with them. People will forget.

Question: So the arms race will turn into something else?

Answer: Of course!

Question: If the Jews themselves understand this and start building good ties, what will happen to the arms race? What is with all these nuclear weapons?

Answer: Nothing, they will slowly be disposed of and that is it.

Question: So all this is happening around in order to first force Jews to come to good relations with each other?

Answer: Yes. To understand that the Jews themselves cannot do this. The nations of the world can force them.

Question: Different people write comments to you. Some say that “Yes, maybe, probably, you are right.” Others write that “Looking at the Jews, we understand that this is impossible. They are mostly bankers, they earn money for us, they drink blood, they are behind all the wars, and so on.”

People write and ask, “How can such Jews turn around and go toward a good connection? How?”

Answer: Awareness of their responsibility for the world and the fact that the world will come to them with the question, “When will it all end?”

The Jews, the world, and all the nations of the world will turn to the Creator, and then everything will change.

Question: So even in these Jews, who are not a model for the world of honesty and purity, something will turn over in them?

Answer: Absolutely!

Question: How does this happen?

Answer: Because what a person did, he did based on his great egoism. And now he will have to restructure accordingly with this.

Question: And big egoism will immediately become big altruism?

Answer: Not immediately, but yes.

Question: Is it a correct law that big egoists become altruists?

Answer: Yes. The right law. From great depths to high elevations.

Question: The spiritual world is the world of our relationships at the level of intentions. Question: We read this data, and it no longer shocks us. 36 million?—36 million. Children?—Children. These are children who have no childhood, it was taken away, these are children who did not know what warmth is, and maybe they will not know. What is embedded in them is fear, aggression? What can this result in?

Answer: They believe that such is the world, that this is life. They will continue to live with this feeling.

Question: What will they turn out to be?

Answer: It depends on who will feed them. If there will be anyone.

Question: Kabbalists say that suffering softens the heart right?

Answer: This is if a person does not see suffering in others, but suffers himself, then these sufferings soften his heart.

But for this, he must already be at a certain level. We  always forget what level of inner development in a person we are talking about. If he is a beast, then he does not understand anything; if a little higher, it can turn into opposite qualities and he will begin to rob and kill. If even higher, then… it all depends on the level of development of the sufferer.

Question: So when you say, that suffering softens the heart, are you talking about the level when there is already a heart?

Answer: Yes, of course. Then these sufferings lead to correction, to the fact that this person begins to treat suffering differently. He looks for its source and finds it. As it is, suffering simply causes an instinctive movement in a person to find and destroy the source of suffering and nothing more.

Question: The corrected heart is when you find the source of suffering, right? Then what?

Answer: You discover it in yourself, that you are suffering from yourself.

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “What are the full implications of ‘Deepfake’?“

While there is a lot of anxiety regarding the implications of deepfake technology, I think that it could help correct the world.

Deepfake could help bring us closer to the truth, prompting us to outsmart the phenomena that we create in order to confuse each other. In other words, it could help us reach a state where we simply believe nothing that we see and hear in the media. Therefore, I see such developments as positive because they become part of our path to a state where we see that the whole world is fake.

We will come to realize that there is no truth anywhere, that everything we produce is us lying to ourselves. We actually live that way today, but we are not yet fully aware of it. Deepfake technology would help clarify that we are living in a lie. And when we reach such a realization, we will gain a stronger demand for a greater truth, a genuine perception and sensation of the true reality that we exist in.

The first Kabbalists expressed themselves in narrative language and described all kinds of spiritual processes through something close to legends and fairy tales, and by referring to inanimate, vegetative, animal and human nature they did not mean materiality at all, but spiritual, higher forces of nature. But at the same time they understood each other because they felt this upper sphere, an upper field, and their feelings were similar.

And then, as our egoism developed more and more from generation to generation, they began to feel how much further they were moving away from ordinary people and they could not tell them anything, they could not explain, show, or reveal anything. And here the problem arises, how can you communicate with people who do not feel the field of internal connection between themselves, called the upper world, the spiritual world, but feel this connection only to a limited extent in their five sense organs, including sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.

Kabbalists of the past did not particularly transmit this knowledge. They communicated with their own kind, with those who feel the upper nature besides our nature.

Moreover, they discovered that there are five spiritual sense organs in a person, and they began to compare them with material ones. They took words from our world and began to describe spiritual actions, qualities, and interactions through them. Thus they developed a language for themselves called “sfat haanafim” –  “the language of branches,” parallel to our sense organs.

It turns out that one takes the concepts of our world and describes some actions, interactions, and connections with them. At the same time, you have a good picture, supposedly about people who communicate with each other, get married, give birth, and develop, and so on.

But, in principle, we are not talking about that, but about internal qualities, and how Kabbalists attain upper matter in these internal qualities.

Question: You write that a group is a lens that focuses light. What does that mean?

Answer: In order to begin to feel the true nature and the Creator as its source, we need to rise above our egoism. In order to receive an opportunity to rise above the ego, we need some kind of strength, resources, and means. Therefore we are given a chance to gather in a group and start trying to rise together with it.

In the group you can see to what extent you are an egoist, how much you have to change yourself from the desire to receive to the desire to bestow, how much you make excuses for yourself, are selfish or, on the contrary, you try to annul yourself, to subjugate yourself to the group and so on. Practically all Kabbalists write about this.

It is precisely in this way that a person can reduce his egoism, develop qualities similar to the Creator in himself, and raise himself above ego in order to really begin feeling the upper nature.

Question: In theory, a movie itself is a fraud. For example, a movie supposedly takes place in New York, but in fact they shoot somewhere in an alley or a set somewhere else. It still evokes certain feelings in people. They are sort of deceived, but this deception works.

Nowadays everything is being filmed in 3D in studios. They recreate some worlds for you to view, but in fact, you see generated graphics, something not real. Is there some kind of energy behind the material image that has existed for five centuries that is identical to this 3D?

Answer: All this is so artificial! But what does “genuine” mean? What does “natural” mean? No one knows that. You can take a person and stuff him with any images as basic ones, and then build anything upon them, any civilization, any culture.

But gradually it all goes away. We are entering a completely different world, which will be a transitional world where we will get used to the fact that everything is changing. As, for example, in the movies where encounters with aliens who arrived from other galaxies are portrayed. Let’s say some huge hall in which different creatures with crocodile muzzles or with two heads walk around and bow to each other, such an international bazaar.

We are in a state where we have to get used to the fact that the world is within us, all of Hollywood is within us. One single truth will prevail above everything. This is the Kabbalistic approach.

Everything will be measured only by the relative quality of bestowal. Relative means that it is in a different way for everyone. People will communicate and understand each other internally. The feeling of our world, space, and matter will begin to disappear because it does not really exist.

Engels said that matter is given to us in sensations. And it is indeed so. Matter is what is given to us today in sensations. To the extent that our qualities, our sensations change, our idea of matter also changes.

Question: If we compare cinema with this fake world and take Kabbalistic texts, do they also awaken certain states, a certain movie, but only on a different level? Are the feelings that are awakened, for example, by The Book of Zohar and by other sources real, not like a movie?

Answer: Yes, because they are those partial qualities, types, and fragments of the whole unified image of nature. That is, they are degrees of attaining the perfection of nature, which is eternal and perfect. And all its degrees are private measures of its revelation relative to us. They also exist, but they exist relative to us.

Everything else that we feel today is absolutely illusive, invented because it is induced to us by our egoism, like in a half-dream, like in an unconscious state in which a person feels some kind of vibes.
