Question: How can a person determine in which desire they acted as a righteous person and in which as a sinner?

Answer: They must feel it. If they do not feel it, they should perform actions characteristic of a righteous person, see whether they can actually carry them out, and ask the Creator for help.

Question: Can one trust their inner impression in this process?

Answer: No, they cannot.
