Pull Each Other Out of Darkness

600.02Question: If I experienced a descent due to some corporeal cause and was able to use that descent for a spiritual ascent, but the corporeal problem did not go away, how should I relate to it?

Answer: You should not worry about that; rather, be concerned about how to move forward on your spiritual path.

Question: How can we help a friend who is in a descent and for whom corporeality is more important than spirituality?

Answer: We study this all the time. You can even read nothing else besides the materials from our congress.

Most of the lessons are about how we unite and thereby pull each other out of the darkness into the light. That is all there is to it.

Questions about Spiritual Work—235

263Question: How can we express our gratitude daily to both the teacher and the friends in a way that strengthens the unity between us?

Answer: You should show an example of drawing closer to the group that attended the morning lesson as the leading group. In this way you will always control the advancement.

Question: What is the best way for us to picture the next spiritual degree we must rise to?

Answer: The next spiritual degree is built on the fact that today you annul yourself more than you did yesterday.

That is how you allow the upper light, the Creator, to move you forward.

Pray for the Collective

938.03Question: How can I pray correctly for the collective and ask the Creator for them if my heart only wants to pray for myself?

Answer: Try to think in a way that you genuinely want to ask for the collective, for the group, for those close to you, and for your friends. It all depends on how much you think about this.

Question: When I see a discrepancy in every point and ask for correction, but I ask for myself, how can I make that prayer for the collective?

Answer: Add the words that you are praying for everyone to it.

Talks about the Steps of the Ladder, Part 137

What Is the Concept of “The World of Atzilut” in Our Work?

We perform various scrutinies regarding the purpose of creation and our relationship with the Creator. We try to integrate the many disturbances we encounter into “There is none else besides Him.” This is the work: against all kinds of disturbances sent by the Creator, we must return to the awareness that “There is none else besides Him.” Everything is sent from above so we will connect to the Creator.

However, from this work, we still see no benefit. We struggle to act, but cannot. We constantly battle internally, encounter various screams and blows, become disappointed and exhausted, and disturbances keep coming.

After we complete a certain portion of this work, an illumination comes from above. We receive help to connect to the idea of “There is none else besides Him” above all of our efforts. This is called the matter of “the world of Atzilut,” where there are no disturbances. “All judgments are removed from it.” The judgments descend from under us. Our heart and mind become clean, and for a few moments, we can adhere to “He and His Name are One.” This is called “Atzilut.”

This feeling spreads within us, and we realize ourselves through it with all of our prior efforts, after gathering all discernments into one, over all disturbances. It is not yet the end of correction, but it is a state toward it.
