Zohar For All, Shemot, Item 17 – 18: What is, “And He came from the ten thousand holy ones”? When the Creator wished to give the Torah to Israel, the camps of upper angels came and said, “O Lord, our Lord, how glorious is Your name in all the earth, whose majesty is rehearsed above the heavens.” They asked for the Torah to be given to them and not to Israel. The Creator told them, “Is there death in you? It is written in the Torah, ‘When a man dies in a tent,’ and ‘If a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he be put to death.’ Is there sin in you that you need Dinim [judgments]? Is there theft or robbery in you, as it is written, ‘You shall not steal’? Are there women among you, as it is written, ‘You shall not commit adultery’? Is there falsehood in you, as it is written, ‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor’? Is there greed in you, as it is written, ‘You shall not covet’? Why do you wish for the Torah?”

Question: The property called Israel seems to be the highest property. At the same time, the Creator turns to the angels and says: “The Torah is not for you because you do not have such properties as: ‘do not steal’ or ‘do not commit adultery,’ but people do. So, I give the Torah to them.” If this is so, why is Israel considered the most exalted property?

Answer: The property of Israel appears in a person when the upper light comes to him and an inner contradiction awakens between who he is and who the Creator is. Any person in the world who starts to study Kabbalah soon begins to feel how far he is from being the “righteous” who used to justify himself.

It does not matter if he killed or robbed. He still justified himself or he would not have committed such acts. That is, whether it is a good or bad deed does not matter. I always justify myself by saying that everyone steals or robs. Either I had to do it because I was supposed to or because I was born that way, etc.

Once a person is unable to justify himself, that is, he has a gap between who he is and who he would like to see himself to be, the difference between the existing and the desired states, then he begins to have a goal: “I would like to be on another level, I would like to live differently.”

Then he is called Israel—directly aimed at the Creator, at being similar to Him. Now you can already talk to him. This kind of person needs the strength to change himself.

Zohar for All, “Yitro”: “You shall not bear the name of the Lord your God in vain.” 

We are talking about the complete and absolute aim only toward the Creator. Do not associate Him in any way with any other actions. Not in any way!

On the contrary, all actions, thoughts, qualities, and intentions should be directed toward Him! No matter what they are.

“In vain” means: do not take Him apart in parts for your life. Direct everything only at Him and at His level. Then as a result of your work, you will see how much this world was created in order to elevate you to the Creator.

Comment: In fact, this phrase sounds like a superstition.

Answer: No! “You shall not take the name of the Creator in vain” means: do not pull Him for yourself over small things. On the contrary, bring all the little things in life to Him.

A person should align all his actions, thoughts, feelings, aspirations, and plans with the fact that there is one Creator, the one and only, and we must come to Him.

Question: At the level of inanimate nature, particles, for example, electrons, obey the laws of physics. Is this their sense of the higher information field?

Answer: Yes, they absolutely, completely, blindly follow the instructions of this field, the instructions of the Creator.

Question: And how does the transition to higher levels of consciousness take place, say, from vegetative to animate?

Answer: In this case, desire jumps to a completely new level. If the still level only cares about its constant state and does not want to change in any way, then the vegetative level, on the contrary, treats the environment creatively. According to its nature, it wants to receive as much beneficial things as possible and to expel everything that is harmful to it, and thus grow.

The next, animate level is even greater. In order to get something beneficial from the surrounding world and give back everything unnecessary or harmful to it, the animal develops movement, special properties for absorption, excretion, and so on.

And man is already working at the highest level, the spiritual level. The difference between a human and the previous animate level is that he must work consciously, with desire, with intention, but not physically.

Question: It turns out that the field increases egoism so much that it manifests itself as a change in the structure of a material object. That is: plants uniting form animate tissues, and they are already capable of realizing this desire?

Answer: Yes. Not only the number of elements in the atom increases, but the atoms themselves and the molecules themselves, their combinations, become completely different. Their combinations acquire a new essence. This is not only their collection and some new physicochemical properties, but they are really capable of memorizing, giving out information, and exchanging it among themselves. This is how active, radioactive elements, etc. appear.

We see how still, vegetative, and animate nature gradually develop. All transitions from level to level and intermediate states that appear during transitions between these properties are explained in Kabbalah.

Question: Is all this is unambiguously controlled by Reshimot (information records)? Are there no coincidences?

Answer: Everything is determined to such a tiny scale that we cannot observe it. But this is absolutely clearly legitimized in nature.

Question: If we are relating to the present time, at what stage are the Jews?

Answer: Today we are in a state where Jews have gathered from all over the world physically, but have not yet connected internally.

Therefore, we must organize the people now living in Israel into such a community where “love your neighbor as yourself” is our credo, the fundamental law of the people. And then there will be an opportunity to rise above egoism, above our inner Egypt.

And we do this, we unite in tens and try to isolate ourselves from the outside world through our internal communication. This is how we act.

My new article on Linkedin “Diversity – the Key to Success”

A few weeks ago, several news outlets published a story that went largely unnoticed by legacy media, but which defies reason. Apparently, the Grace Church School in Lower Manhattan issued a 12-page guide to students and staff explaining the school’s mission of inclusivity. The guide encouraged them to replace some of the most essential words in any language with substitutes that denied them of their meaning. For example, the guide reads, “Instead of ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad,’ at Grace we say ‘grown-ups,’ ‘folks,’ or ‘family.’” Or, “Instead of ‘husband,’ ‘wife,’ ‘boyfriend,’ ‘girlfriend,’ at Grace we say ‘spouse,’ ‘partner,’ ‘significant other.’”

Instead of making everyone the same, we should boldly emphasize our differences and use them for the common good. All of a sudden, we will discover that everyone is beautiful in their own unique way! Building a robust society depends not on making everyone the same, but on embracing everyone’s differences. Diversity is the key to success; uniformity—the road to failure.

The guide does not stop there. It continues its effort to engineer the consciousness of students and teachers by clearly stating its agenda: “We actively try to undo notions of a ‘typical’ or ‘normal’ family structure, each family is unique.” Also, the guide points to a problem it defines as “Heterosexism,” which is “The assumption that heterosexuality is the natural or default form of sexuality, and is inherently good or inevitable.”

Religion, too, is “treated” in the guide. “Instead of [asking] ‘What religion are you?’ say ‘Are any religious/faith traditions important to you?’” Or, “Instead of [saying] ‘Merry Christmas!/Happy Holidays!’ say ‘Have a great break!’” There is much more but you get the point.

The thing is that the blatant attempt at consciousness engineering was largely ignored. The children and parents were afraid for their future, teachers were afraid for their jobs, and legacy media had no interest in protesting the obvious oppression of free thought, so very few outlets reported it.

But one person could not keep quiet. Paul Rossi, a teacher at Grace Church, wrote a piece titled “I Refuse to Stand By While My Students Are Indoctrinated,” and published it on Bari Weiss’ blog Common Sense. In the subtitle, he wrote, “Children are afraid to challenge the repressive ideology that rules our school. That’s why I am.”

Rossi admits that he is afraid for his future, but feels he has no choice since the problem isn’t only with Grace Church, but a widespread issue. “I know that by attaching my name to this I’m risking not only my current job but my career as an educator, since most schools, both public and private, are now captive to this backward ideology,” he admits. “But witnessing the harmful impact it has on children, I can’t stay silent.”

Luckily for Rossi, and for all of us, although it may take a while, and may still spread further, eventually, forced elimination of differences among people will not work. Nature created us different, not the same, and we cannot “undo” our making on a whim. If it contradicts nature, it will not work. It will only torment those who try.

The Procrustean bed to which the “inclusive” ideology is attempting to chain us will create the suffering that all Procrustean beds are made to create, but it will not make us the same or equal; it is totally useless and redundant. Mom and Dad are the two most important figures in our lives, which is why every culture since antiquity has dedicated specific pronouns to designate them. They are not “family” and they are certainly not “folks.” They have given us our very lives, and to a great extent, they are responsible for the people we are. It is almost the same with “husband” and “wife”: “Partner” just doesn’t carry the same weight. “Husband” and “wife” imply commitment, and “partner” implies much less of it, if any. Each person that we meet is unique, and merits a unique name or title. Denying uniqueness deprives all of us of personality.

Diversity is not something to erase; it is something to embrace! It is a source of power, resilience, and beauty! We can only appreciate the qualities of one race when we know how unique it is. However, we will know that it is unique only if we know the qualities of all the other races. Therefore, we cannot appreciate one another unless we know who we are and how different we are from one another. Erase the differences, and you have erased our uniqueness and, even worse, our ability to appreciate one another.

Instead of making everyone the same, we should boldly emphasize our differences and use them for the common good. All of a sudden, we will discover that everyone is beautiful in their own unique way! Building a robust society depends not on making everyone the same, but on embracing everyone’s differences. Diversity is the key to success; uniformity—the road to failure.

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “What is your definition of love?“

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, love is the will to satisfy other people’s desires.

In order to truly satisfy other people’s desires, we need to understand them. Understanding the desires of others comes from sharing similar habits, qualities, thoughts and perceptions. Then we can know how to satisfy them, i.e., to express our love.

Love is thus felt according to a key law in reality called “the law of equivalence of form.” We all have different desires, but in order to establish a common understanding—the basis to reach love between us—then the intention upon our desires should be the same.

If we would each wish to reach a common love for one another above our desires, then we would form a common inner template through which we could know how to satisfy each other. We could then image each other’s desires within ourselves and understand how we would feel when receiving the same fulfillment.

Since we would share the same intention, we would be able to satisfy each other’s desires, and by doing so, experience love.

My Response: In human society, of course, this is true. But in general, you cannot open your heart, only in a suitable circle, if I am among friends, that is, among those who are going toward the same goal. Then we open the heart, and a common heart is formed. Then, there are already completely different laws.

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “Why is it important to develop a positive self-image?“

Developing a solely positive self-image is actually detrimental to our development because it can blind us from what we need to change in ourselves.

On the contrary, we need control and balance between a positive and negative self-image. For example, doubting ourselves as we head into exams at school or university urges us to study more and prepare better. Excessive self-confidence and being a know-it-all are harmful to our progress. We thus have to be able to direct the shift of our self-image from positive to negative and vice versa.

In addition, we should aim our self-image at a goal that we set out to achieve, so that we measure ourselves in relation to that goal. We thus need to regularly examine that goal and how we progress toward it—questioning whether we have the necessary means to achieve it, and accordingly adjust our self-image to be optimally goal-oriented.
