Don’t wait for the Creator to invite you to begin the spiritual work. You always have to be the one to begin! Therefore, begin right now: “If I am not for myself, then who is for me?” The Creator has already done His part—by eliciting a thought about this in you!

One can check the states on the spiritual path by how much the ascents and descents, if it is “for the Creator’s sake,” do not affect one’s spiritual work, as if one is constantly in adhesion with the Creator. Otherwise one must ask for correction.

With democracy, egoism pushes minorities to demand equal rights.
Afterwards, they dictate their will to the majority.
Society, to avoid being accused of racism, etc., concedes.
The minority’s selfishness begins to stifle society with its demands.
In this state, society does not know what to do.

Yearning for the goal fulfills us more than its attainment: the desire is fulfilled, and without desire, the pleasure disappears. Hence pleasure is possible only out of yearning, rather than satisfaction of the desire.
Desire was created to be filled by fulfilling the beloved

A person receives fulfillment not so much from love in and of itself, but from the craving of love, the yearning for the one you love.
Hence a spiritual action is performed by faith above reason, “for the sake of bestowal.”
It is the yearning that fulfills a person—it is most important and must be cultivated.

A request to the Creator is the only way to achieve the desire to bestow. If one has no desire to bestow, he must ask that he’d be granted the request for the desire to bestow. One should feel pain from the lack of the desire to bestow…

Extreme exertion is needed in order to not allow a single thought of self, but only of the group—otherwise one is destroying his soul! A constant higher effort is required to think only of the soul, i.e., only of the Ten, to pray only for it. But this is how one reaches the goal quickly.

The famous Encyclopedia Britannica—everything is being rewritten to please egoism…

Encyclopedia Britannica has replaced “Israeli” and “Ancient Israeli” with “Palestinian.” The Qumran Scrolls are described as Ancient-Palestinian scrolls. “The Qumrān scrolls have now proven that the Septuagint book of Samuel-Kings goes back to an old Palestinian text tradition.”

To ask for yourself is to cut yourself off the Source of life. We do not feel it, but a person who senses the system understands that it is a simple one, built entirely on connection, and that’s where the Creator resides. All you need to ask for is to belong to this system.
By asking for yourself, you separate yourself from the Source.

What we perceive as changes in the Creator are nothing other than His games teaching a person, like a father playing with his son, seemingly happy or sad. The Creator Himself is not moved by this game. All this is only for the benefit of his son’s development… #zohar
Baal HaSulam. Preface to the Book of Zohar, 33:
#baalhasulam

The Creator, by his concealment, creates for us the conditions to strive toward Him. So that it is precisely in yearning for Him one found his own delight. It is in the longing and love aches—in the pulling impulses toward the Beloved where He is revealed. Therefore, a person wants to reveal not the Creator Himself, but a greater place for work.

It is not effort that is considered as spiritual work, but striving for it. Normal, possible efforts are not taken into account, but only the efforts greater than usual, beyond possible, that one can only imagine. Only these super efforts beyond the possible the Creator perceives and gets revealed in them.

A ten must operate by laws of HaVaYaH‘s perfection: equality and mutual inclusion. All the differences that we see, setting apart some people as more successful, are meaningless in reality. The greater is egoism’s resistance and the more efforts we make to overcome it, the higher the outcome!

Hence we have to be understanding of friends who have difficulty being in a ten. Although they will do it later than the rest, they will succeed in spirituality more than the others. Hence we cannot neglect them. Since the Creator brought a person to the group, we have to ensure an equal attitude to everyone.

By exerting to unite, we attain love for the neighbor as to ourselves. Through it, we can then attain love for the Creator, focusing our aspirations through the group on the Creator. We thus bind together all of creation, which gets concentrated in the group and attains adhesion with the Creator.

One who wishes to receive a response from the Creator must ask for the friend.
A request from each person for others—creates a common prayer.
Asking the Creator for the friends—should be a request and gratitude.
A response to the right request is its direct consequence.

Restriction (Tzimtzum) is the cessation of all thoughts about myself.
Reflected Light (Ohr Hozer) is caring only for the ten and the Creator.
Ohr Hozer HaMalbish is how much I can connect desires to caring for others.

It is written that the Creator is found BEYOND the bounds of our earthly sensations. Hence precisely a connection with the friends in the ten allows me to come out of myself into the sensation of Him. To the extent of Their importance above my own.

I can overcome any of my deficiencies if I unite my intention with the group’s intention together toward the goal. This is called signing the covenant.

The entire multiplicity of our qualities and desires was created by 613 lights. Hence there is nothing extraneous in us. We must only put every quality in its right place—and we will reveal the perfect system of the world.

What now seems to me as Me—is not me at all. And what seems to me as the friends—this is the real me. The distortion happens in my perception. The real me is the ten, inside of which dwells the Creator. But I’m made to see myself alone in order to amplify the perception by 620.

The Creator’s concealment was created by Him, not in order to be concealed from us, but to help us create a yearning for His greatness, rather than for egoistically-motivated power. To respect Him as the source of the quality of bestowal, rather than as the one who gives to us!

In a ten, everyone must feel that they are equal. Building equality in a ten is more important than developing the need to reveal the Creator. If there is no equality, then the yearning for the Creator will be distorted since we will entreat Him from an imperfect Kli.

We use the group to make a device for revealing the Creator, like binoculars that we have to bring into focus to see the desired goal. All our rays of vision must be focused in one point so we will gaze precisely at the Creator.

It is written, “You made Me.” The Creator doesn’t exist by Himself, but only as the correct outcome of all the participants in His revelation. This device is at our disposal and we have to activate it. We must invest in creating a “ten” in order to reveal the Creator through it.

My group is like a lens through which I reveal the Creator. I look at the group from within my changing qualities, and by an effort of will, in my mind’s eye I bring the group back into focus, into the ideal state – and through it, in the resolution I’ve achieved I reveal the Creator. I “draw” Him with the unity of me and the group!

Caring for the nation is tantamount to caring for the Creator. The Creator dwells inside the nation, and if we regard the nation as the Creator’s dwelling-place, we will be able to attain the upper world, faith above reason, and all the spiritual degrees.

As much as I am connected to the friends and feel that through them I receive the Creator’s influence, as much as I turn to Him with an increasing prayer for the friends, this determines my Kli for revealing the Creator and the possibility of permanent connection with Him.

If one wishes to be connected to the Creator without any personal benefit, regardless of his pleasant or unpleasant sensations, then he wishes to shift to the state of “Lishma.” In this state he raises the Creator’s greatness so much that he stops thinking of himself completely.

We must guard the covenant in order to strengthen unity.
We should rejoice at the breakage that is being revealed, thank the Creator for revealing so many troubles and problems to us on the path because that is how He shows us His love, promoting us toward Him with the help of the challenges.

We must strive to strengthen unity. Hence we should rejoice at the breakage that is being revealed, thank the Creator for revealing so many troubles and problems to us on the path because that is how He shows us His love, promoting us toward Him with the help of the challenges.

-If I unite with the friends until I completely dissolve in them, won’t I lose myself?
-We have nothing to lose! Right now we have no individuality. Spiritual individuality depends on uniting with the group—there I will find my soul, which will be unique, genuine and timeless.

Concealment becomes a screen, above which we strive to become similar (Edameh) to the Creator—and then we become human, Adam.
The Creator does not coerce us to do this—we, on our own, wish to make ourselves similar to the Creator. For us, concealment becomes both a dividing screen and a screen of revelation.

The Creator’s revelation obligates us to live by the laws of concealment.
We must always take care of the concealment in order to remain distinct from the Creator, not carrying out His laws instinctively, but carrying them out above the concealment, for the sake of His greatness.

If concealment disappears and the Creator becomes revealed, we will turn into angels—animals that instinctively carry out laws of nature, the Creator’s orders. The sensation of the Creator’s concealment pushes us to reveal Him, to become people, to rise to a degree above the animate, to consciously carry out the laws of nature—the Creator.

Kabbalah is the science of the higher ecology. Love for the Creator will obligate us to study the laws of communication and observe them. We will understand that the upper force of nature governs us and mandates us to come to love for the creatures, and not because we want this, which is the reason for Nazism and socialism.

It seems to us that in our world we are in the grip of time, and there’s never enough of it. However, in reality, we don’t need much time: I must attain adhesion with the Creator at this very moment, and not think about time…

The Creator’s greatness is the key that transforms ten individuals from an inanimate formation into a living being, Adam, a system similar to the Creator. The ten becomes Human, similar to the Creator, a soul. If you want to reveal the Creator—create a ten for yourself!

The shift from assessing one’s state, “how do I feel,” to the assessment, “to what extent is the Creator’s importance present in me”—is a step toward entering the spiritual state!

During the day, try to live according to the Creator’s greatness, do not consent to its waning. This is exactly where a person’s work lies—everything else is sent from above. One must feel the depth of the separation from the Creator, the lack of His governance, and how the Creator’s greatness fills him.

The more I exalt the Creator in my eyes, the more I am filled with His greatness. Identifying oneself with Him frees one from all spiritual or corporeal problems. Problems are resolved only by the fact that the Creator, the Upper light, fills our empty desires.

Me – Group – Creator:
The Creator is the reason and goal of group work. But realization happens in the group, where I must attain love for friends. This is what I ask from the Creator. Hence the Creator becomes a means here. But after I attain love for the friends, I can go on to attain love for the Creator.

We strive to hold the Creator in the center of the group, so His greatness will hold and connect us. From the center of the group, the Creator plays with us, dividing us. Yet we overcome the disturbances, constantly preserving the balance by our common sensation of the Creator’s greatness, holding Him up between us.

The way to check the Creator’s greatness is to see how much it obligates me to love the friends. It is written, “from love for the creatures, one comes to love for the Creator.” But why must I love the creatures? Because I want to attain love for the Creator. The Creator is the goal, and preparation for it is love for the creatures.

Ascents and descents happen independently of us. What depends on us is to connect the lack of the Creator’s greatness in us in descent, to the Creator’s greatness in ascent. I, myself, search for and awaken the lack of the Creator’s greatness, trying to feel it, measure it and connect it to the sensation of the Creator’s greatness now.

Man’s primary work is to attach to the ascent the lack of the Creator’s greatness, which he felt before, during a descent. This is exactly why these states are called descents—because the Creator’s greatness disappears in them, there’s no Creator in us and between us.
We want to attach these descents to the ascent.

Descents are given from above in order to check if there are any ascents in egoism. Although, one cannot do much in a descent, upon receiving another ascent one must recall the previous fall in order to understand what must be done not to get any more descents.

In an ascent one understands how much he loses in a descent, in egoism. This calculation becomes increasingly important until, after much suffering, does the real need in the help (salvation) of the Creator arise. And one is able to appreciate the Creator saving him from egoism.

Why is it that specifically the importance of the Creator (the Greatness of the Creator) so important to man? Because we exist in the Creator that fills everything, and only the absence of the desire to reveal His greatness (not Him) is what conceals Him from us.

Descent distances me from the group, and therefore from the Creator. I don’t feel the need for the group or the Creator. It is the opposite in an ascent when both, the group and the Creator, are important to me. If I don’t lose the importance of the Creator, I will not fall. This is only possible in a group that cares about the common greatness of the Creator.

To feel the greatness of the Creator is to value His presence in my life more than life itself. As if I get a result of a blood test with thousands of indicators, but I only care about one: the greatness of the Creator, His importance in my life. I evaluate myself according to it.

A descent means I cease valuing the Creator’s greatness in my life. The Creator becomes unimportant to me—this is called a descent. Only by the scale of the Creator’s greatness in me do I assess my states as ascent or descent: how important/unimportant the upper force is to me.

Ascent and descent are defined only by how much I feel the Creator’s greatness. If I notice that I’ve lost the greatness of the Creator, it’s a descent, since there is no Creator in my world. This is the only thing deemed a descent in spirituality.

The Creator deliberately created a descent for me so I will extract the lack of His greatness. In the ascent I can add the need for the Creator’s greatness that was present in the descent, and ask for His revelation. Therein lies my work—everything else is done from above.

From the descent, I want to extract a need for the Creator’s greatness. This does not mean I sink into a descent. Awakening a descent means awakening only the lack of the Creator’s greatness, which I experienced. I wish to supplement the current ascent with the lack of the Creator’s greatness from the preceding descent.

The state of ascent is the sensation of closeness to the Creator, His greatness
It’s not the Creator Himself that’s revealed, but His authority. If I feel that everything is governed by the Creator, then I can inquire into the previous descent—in order to build an ascent from it

It is possible to accelerate the movement toward the Goal of Creation while being in any state, but especially in a state of ascent: to realize that one has received it in order to move toward the Creator and to ask to come closer, EVEN THOUGH one feels no need for it.
And if one does not succeed in the request, he will receive a descent…

Being responsible for one’s actions means that within the boundaries of the freedom of will that I’ve been given, I respond as if the Creator was in my stead…

Good deeds are when you wish to be in the common desire to draw upper light in order to fulfill the friends through you, as a conduit between the Creator and the others. Fulfilling others is exactly what a good deed is.

A sinner is one who has performed great work on oneself. The “Light of Torah that Reforms” comes to him and shows him the place from which he must return to the Creator.  A righteous man is one who, with the help of the Light that returns one to the Creator, corrects his Kelim—intentions for bestowal.

As you weave the blanket of love, treat negative things as being sent from above. The Creator deliberately created evil, but everything is predestined to direct us to the upper force. If we attribute everything to one Source, we will weave a foundation for the light, the blanket of love that will envelop us.

The extent of unity in the 10 determines the degree on the ladder of ascension: the greater is the unity in the ten, the greater is the degree. The higher we are, the more influence we receive from the integral system of the universe—the Kli and its filling, the Creator’s light
