New Life 1077 – The Potion Of Death, The Elixir Of Life

New Life 1077 – The Potion Of Death, The Elixir Of Life
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

A Kabbalist sees the upper world because he makes a special inner correction through the force of bestowal in nature. He rises above the ego each time he receives a dose of the upper Light. He constantly improves himself in this way and experiences the real, eternal world or the elixir of life. By becoming similar to the upper Light, he gains the power of bestowal and love. In Kabbalah, using drugs as a way to feel connected to others is unacceptable since it does not allow a person to overcome his egoistic nature. Each portion of Light that a person receives imparts a quality of bestowal and allows him to become a true pipeline of love toward others.

New Life #137 – Social Networking And The Evolution Of Human Life

New Life #137 – Social Networking and the Evolution of Human Life
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

The evolution of human life is in the connection between increasingly opposing parts. We have an egoistic desire to be alone and we subsequently come to understand that there is nothing to live for in isolation. We create social networks because they develop our senses for absorbing the world and life itself. A social network is like a game or adventure in which we search for the spiritual dimension, the inner energy, or the soul. From the beginning of the 20th century, the great need for connection was awakened and developed through radio, television, and finally, the Internet. It is impossible to restrict this innate desire for connection. Rather, we need to be educated according to what contributes to the tendency of nature to connect all of us as one. All of nature is a network without wires, adapters, and waves. Within it, we begin to feel a new life, beyond time, movement, and location. A platform rises from the Earth to a new dimension. We build a kind of bubble, which is like a vessel that flies between galaxies. Sharing takes on a life of its own. Establishing unity between a small circle of people within the network elevates the entire system to new heights based on open, whole, and positive communication.

New Life 136 – The Internet Revolution And Human Connection

New Life 136 – The Internet Revolution And Human Connection
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

The Internet revolution is a wonderful thing because it has greatly accelerated humanity’s development toward a new, integral world. The Internet has broken down borders, increased freedom of expression, and prevents dictators from doing whatever they like in their countries. It brings us closer to being one united, open, accessible, cosmopolitan state with international banks, corporations, and media.

There is also a lot of dirt, lies, hypocrisy, censorship, pornography, and sales on the Internet. Our children surf wherever they please without supervision. The Internet enables a person to be more secluded and to roam the whole world from his private place. It intensifies the ability of a lie to exist and the evil of humanity is openly spread there. This is also good, in a way, since it brings humanity to the recognition of evil. It’s better that this occurs virtually instead of on the streets or through war.

Nevertheless, the Internet cannot replace true, internal, human connection or heal hearts and minds. We used to meet in cafés to talk, learn at school with others, go on family picnics, and hug each other. Today, we meet on Skype, study online, eat pizza in front of the computer, and send emojis to express ourselves. The seclusion and loneliness will lead to outbreaks and diseases because people will need a real educational network of connections to the world without tools, modems, wires, and lies. We will want to feel more. Today’s Internet is an evolutionary springboard to tomorrow’s infinite connection between human hearts, from everyone to everyone.

New Life 1085 – The Connection Between Love And Hate

New Life 1085 – The Connection Between Love And Hate
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Hatred and love develop on top of each other like two lines from which a middle line is built. When we build the middle line, our inner software is changed. It becomes smarter and makes it possible for us to love something that we previously didn’t like. On the psychological level, concessions lead to habit and later to love. In the evolutionary process, the ego grows and our demands change in quality and quantity. The desire to receive pleasure is a kind of animal or monster insofar as it loves everything that provides it with pleasure and hates what doesn’t. Between hatred and love we begin to feel the original power of nature that created everything through these two egoistic forces. In the wisdom of Kabbalah corrections are made on another level; the person corrects the ego with the help of the upper Light. “Love covers all transgressions” (Proverbs 10:12) means that love doesn’t replace hatred but rises above it, in parallel to it. Our egoism is constantly growing, increasing in hatred so that above it we can build a greater love. The power of love can be obtained on condition that you want to crown it upon all of reality.

New Life 1084 – Love And Hate

New Life 1084 – Love And Hate
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

The human experience of love and hate are determined through a part of the brain called the pleasure center. This small part works in the interest of the ego or the desire to receive and differentiates between pleasure or love and suffering or hatred. It is said that the feeling of hatred pushes us to communicate with the upper force and understand what He wants from us. Hatred is awakened in us so that we will eventually learn to look within and correct ourselves. We can change our negative, egoistic attitudes in such a way that we will see a good world full of love. Instead of being dominated by egoism, we can manage it by changing ourselves. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to correct ourselves in relation to the world. When we attribute everything to the upper force, we begin to understand that no one is hating or loving us. Instead, when we want to reach bestowal by giving to the world and the upper force, we realize that the whole system is taking care of us.

New Life 1083 – Living In The Present

New Life 1083 – Living In The Present
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches that there is no past or future, only the present. These days, people measure the value of the past and the future according to the level of importance they attribute based on their will to enjoy. We think about what matters to us. In order to achieve full contact with reality and with the upper force, we need to work in order to connect with each other in groups of ten. When each member of the group wants to fulfill the desires of the others, a new reality above time and place is revealed. We begin to understand why the world exists and the role of humans within it. Each one begins to feel like a baby in his mother’s lap and all he wants to do is to connect to the upper system that is the source of all life.

New Life 1082 – Minimalism Trend

New Life 1082 – Minimalism Trend
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Real wealth is eternal. It’s not about giving things to each other but about our capacity to love others. Minimalism existed in ancient cultures as well when people preferred to get rid of property that enslaved them. Today, people are brainwashed to believe they will be fulfilled if they buy more and more. It is only by changing the method of fulfillment from receiving to giving that humankind will feel unlimited satisfaction. Real minimalism means only needing loving human relationships to feel fulfilled. The development of the qualities of bestowal and love requires group work according to the method of Kabbalah. People learn to restrict or narrow their thoughts about themselves and think more about the good of others. Although we continue to have possessions and assets, our vitality comes from our value of others and love for the whole world.

New Life 1081 – Equality And Wholeness In Nature

New Life 1081 – Equality And Wholeness In Nature
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

All people are equal because they were created by nature. There is nothing superfluous in the world. If one part is missing, the entire system lacks something. Everyone is important in the general system of souls. Society needs to respect the unique contribution of each person just like each part of the body makes a different but important contribution to the functioning of the whole. If I can do without a person, it is a sign that I disregard the general law of creation. It is up to each one to be a guarantor for others, to be concerned for their welfare, and to be responsible for everyone. Nature is advancing us toward this understanding of the importance of equality. The more human relationships differ from the laws within nature, the more we are harmed and suffer. We can either develop through blows and suffering or from awareness and understanding. In the end, we will come to embrace equality one way or another. The upper force created us as egoists and left room for us to correct ourselves. In a corrected society a person will feel free like a baby in the hands of his mother and will enjoy everyone else’s enjoyment.

New Life 1080 – Privacy And Love

New Life 1080 – Privacy And Love
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

The desire for privacy stems from shame. Neither animals nor children are ashamed and neither desire privacy. When children begin to feel their egos, they feel shame, fear being hurt, and want to hide. As we grow, we learn to feel that we are trespassing if we infringe on the privacy of others. Today, commercial and political factors penetrate our privacy in order to influence us as they please. Soon, we will no longer even be aware that we are being managed. This type of privacy needs to develop into consideration for others and for society at large. We must educate all of society so that no one will want to harm another.

New Life 1078 – Why Do We Hate?

New Life 1078 – Why Do We Hate?
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Human nature is the egoistic desire to enjoy. We love what pleases us and hate what distresses us. The ego grows daily and we are completely occupied by our experiences of love and hate or pleasure and pain. When the sources we thought would bring us pleasure end up becoming sources of suffering, we learn to hate them. If a person becomes a source of agony for me, I can no longer enjoy life as long as he exists. Inflicting a person’s “I” drives him crazy. All of life is simply a calculation regarding how much we are willing to suffer in order to earn something. Human imagination and knowledge expand the boundaries of hate and love whereas other creatures have only instincts. Only mankind enjoys the fact that others suffer. We have to learn to work correctly with hate and love so that we can rise above them in the middle line.
