New Life #147 – The Journey To The Root, Part 1

New Life #147 – The Journey to the Root, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

From the times of Ancient Babylon when the ego erupted and competition, consumerism, and separation began, the corrective method of Abraham was introduced. Egoism causes us to want everything for ourselves and exploit others for our own benefit. This egoistic power of reception has exhausted itself and has brought all of humanity to a dead end. While religions introduced by Abraham helped people to connect in order to have a better life, the true power of bestowal is only discovered in the effort to connect above the ego. Unfounded hatred is discovered and new life, based on the principle “Love covers all transgressions” (Proverbs 10:12) is built. The secret power of life is the ability to control these two forces: reception and bestowal. The world is now like Babylon again except that there is nowhere else to get away from one another. Today, Israeli society must restore its spiritual roots and lead the whole world to correction.

New Life #146 – Israel Can Learn About Connection From The Army

New Life #146 – Israel Can Learn about Connection from the Army
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

The Israeli Defense Force has a spirit of connection, unity, and Arvut (mutual responsibility). This military connection could provide Israelis with an example to follow that could solve all their social problems. Israel is in a constant state of war militarily, economically, and socially. Everyone wants to rise above others, earn as much as possible, acquire the most, and be alone at the top. The excessive consumption and individualism are contrary to the original spirit of Israel. Israelis need to fight the egocentric spirit that inundates us. We need a new education, culture, and approach to communication. We need a spiritual revolution based on mutual warmth, vitality, and consideration of others. The true connection that will come from the Israeli people will lead all of humanity to rise to a new eternal pleasure.

New Life #145 – The IDF As An Example Of Connection

New Life #145 – The IDF as an Example of Connection
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

There is no greater pleasure than human connection. When I perceive strangers within me, I begin to feel a sense of freedom, security, and pleasure. A bit of this new spirit is tasted in the connection between friends in the army. In the army everyone is equal and dependent on each other. There is a spirit of friendship and respect for those who help and concede. The wounded are not abandoned in the field because friends in the army are closer than family. The power and spirit of the Israeli Defense Force is derived from the fact that there is a unique point, a spark of self-sacrifice in every Jew. The modest and the wise have always been respected among the people of Israel. There are no masters or slaves. When there will be enough people in Israeli society who make room in their hearts for others, we will feel like a single family. External conditions will compel Israeli society to connect and reach the peak of human development. It is up to us to build a society with a spirit of friendship and provide an example to all of humanity.

New Life #144 – From A Melting Pot Into One Family

New Life #144 – From a Melting Pot into One Family
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

How can we build one family above the differences that we find in the melting pot of Israeli society? The strengthening of the national ego has led to the strengthening of the personal ego. The lack of connection between us affects our lives at home, at work, in the economy, and in the country at large. The rapprochement between us is a preparation to help us emerge from the global crisis and repair the entire world. We are to become representatives after the exile and help the whole world to become one global family. The soul of Israeli society is based on the principle: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Connection and love result in us being like different flowers in a bouquet. The heart of nature is accessed when we feel each other and live within one another. Integral education develops a sensation of new life in the connection between us.

New Life #143 – A New Vision For Israeli Society

New Life #143 – A New Vision for Israeli Society
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Israeli society has lost its way since our egoism doesn’t allow us to see others. The development of the ego is bankrupt and people are aspiring to a more just, warm, and egalitarian society. We are fed up with government leaders who just talk and business and media tycoons who enslave us to their egoism. We need to learn how to work with human egoism differently by connecting above it. The ego helps us to see where additional connection is required that can move us from hatred to love. We need a new method of education that will teach us how to connect and have a good attitude toward others. We need to create a model society in which everyone feels that he is in a warm, embracing, concerned, and caressing family.

New Life #141 – The Effect Of The Internet On Kids And Youth

New Life #141 – The Effect of the Internet on Kids and Youth
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Children and youth want to see the world and be in touch with everyone, but the Internet lacks a soul. Kids have a natural, healthy desire to be famous, which advances humanity and should be encouraged with all kinds of lessons. They are also addicted to the Internet.. The Internet offers them two-way communication and a sense of control above time and space. They are searching for a warm, fulfilling, human connection, but they don’t find it. They will need to learn the wisdom of communicating with people and find creative ways to express it. They need a new program that promotes authentic human connection. We should help them to transition from “me” to “we” through festivals, round tables, performances, and workshops. Tomorrow’s respected celebrities will be people who know how to build a network of joyful human connections just like in nature.

Summary

The world of advertising aggressively sells us pleasure; however, the desire to connect will soon take over the market. We are facing a revolution: people will want to be emotionally connected, without borders, and to ascend above matter. We will discover a special pleasure in the connection between us: warmth, excitement, and a new exalted, unlimited spirit. People will return to normal consumption and everything that is unnecessary for sustenance will become devalued. Individualism will be replaced by a need for warm human connection, common joy, and social pleasure. Advertising and the media will become engines for human development, connection, and mutual fulfillment.

New Life #139 – The Future Of Influence And Leadership

New Life #139 – The Future of Influence and Leadership
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Control will be based on the understanding of nature. People no longer aspire to gain money, power, knowledge, and information. Younger generations lack the desire to get married, have a family, and raise children. Today, humanity feels like a child who has been forgotten all alone at home. It has totally lost its way and feels empty. The public is going mad and losing control as demonstrated by unemployment, terrorism, and riots. We no longer look to philosophers, politicians, scientists, and heads of state for direction and leadership. Our internal nature isn’t leading us forward anymore. It is becoming clear that we don’t understand who we are, where we are living, and what the general plan is. We have come to a halt. We need a new paradigm based on the laws of nature. Nature is a closed system of bestowal and feedback. We need to study nature in order to learn the right attitude toward society, economics, family, and ecology. We have to reveal the goal of nature regarding human connection. Whoever wishes to be influential must lead humanity toward correction and mutual connection. This is the business of the future. The media can play a vital role in the integral education of every individual. The people who teach this new, integral approach to life will soon be perceived as the dearest and most respected people in the world.

New Life #138 – Social Networking In The Next Generation

New Life #138 – Social Networking in the Next Generation
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

In the future, the Internet will fill us with life, pleasure, and joy through integral education. It will teach people how to create a balanced, internal, human network through open, direct, cooperative, supportive, mutual, and intimate relationships. It will show people who they are, what they enjoy, in what sense they are free, and how they can fulfill themselves. Workshops, games, news sites, and quality programming will be used to build human connection. Today, people feel empty and frustrated since the Internet does not supply energy or vitality. In the next generation, 7 billion people will tear down all the borders and connect to the online network like to Mother Nature.

New Life 1079 – Hatred: A Phenomenon Of Perception

New Life 1079 – Hatred: A Phenomenon Of Perception
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Hatred comes from the interconnected network between us in order to elevate us to a higher relationship with one another. If I don’t know how to manage the feelings that arise from the network, I become a source of evil toward everyone and outbreaks of hatred will result. Kabbalah teaches people how to react properly to feelings and give a calm example to others. It is a method of attracting a positive force into the network, against the negative force, with a layer of insulation in the middle. Kabbalists study in groups of ten and learn to make concessions for one another in order to discover the positive, upper force. Kabbalah leads us through the network so we can find out what we are living for and know the system that influences us.
