Questions about Spiritual Work—153

281.02Question: Our ten has entered a period when we no longer want to play with toys, we do not want to receive false pleasures. Where should we start to turn all the pleasures into the right ones?

Answer: Start by checking yourself: How do you treat your time, which is given to you by the Creator at every moment, what do you do with it? That is where you start.

Question: Can we say the responsibilities we take on in the ten for the sake of unification are a great help from egoism?

Answer: No, this is a great help from the Creator who made it so we could unite in the ten and thus move forward with the help of friends.

Question: Are we able to enjoy loving each other? Or is this not a goal, but an intermediary stage in attaining the Creator?

Answer: We will be able to love each other only if we see the manifestation of the Creator in the friend. This is the only way we achieve love.

Question: Should we satisfy the material, egoistic desires of the friends in the ten, or only those related to spiritual goals?

Answer: In general, if I relate to my friends in the property of bestowal and want to give to them, then any of their desires are my opportunity to give.

Question: When you receive fulfillment from the Creator and feel that He is giving it to you, how do you return this pleasure to Him?

Answer: There is no need to return anything. When you do something, always think that you want to please the Creator with it. Do what is good in His eyes.

Give the Creator an Opportunity to Bestow

604.04The Creator has purposely created the evil inclination in us, where we think only of ourselves and are unable to think about others.

In every egoistic desire, there is a possibility of suffering. I keep suffering without understanding why or how. And then, for some people, the so-called point in the heart awakens, meaning contact with the property of bestowal, with the Creator. Through this point, they begin to realize that the problem is thinking only of themselves and they begin to look for a way out of it.

The Creator places them in a group, indicating that with its help, they will gradually change. And so, they begin to ask the Creator to change their nature so that they can feel others or the Creator instead of themselves, which is the same thing.

Such a request, which they repeatedly try to raise to the Creator, helps them begin to feel changes in themselves.

Initially, of course, we think only about ourselves, but after correction, we think only of others and, through others, of the Creator.

Why through others? Because there is nothing to think about the Creator, it is the property of bestowal. To think about Him is to give Him the opportunity to give. How can this be done? If I take the whole world and bring it to Him so He would fill it, I will benefit the whole world and the Creator. I need nothing for myself except to perform this action.

Take a Step Forward

276.03Question: What should we do when we lack a feeling of the Creator? Should we suffer or calm ourselves?

Answer: The main thing is to keep moving forward, always try to advance yourself and the group.

To take a step forward, you need to understand the source of the divergence between you and the Creator more deeply. This way, you can quickly recognize your state and correct it.

Toward Complete Connection with the Creator

538Question: On one hand we all want to unite and follow you. On the other hand we understand that there are many great friends who have already done so much before us. How can we accept these internal contradictions where the bitter taste of vanity is felt alongside gratitude to the Creator for this path?

Answer: You need to understand that all contradictions come from the Creator, and they are all given to you mixed together intentionally so that you can sort each one out, separate it from the others, and direct it toward a better direction—toward complete connection with the Creator. Try to do this. Strive with all your heart to adhere to the Creator.

Question: As our desires grow, not only does receiving increase, but also the inner anger. How can we work with it so as not to express it outwardly? Even if we have learned to restrain it, what should we do at the moment we feel it?

Answer: Work with your intentions. Make them more and more similar to the Creator. This is our task.

Spiritual Scale: One to One

944Question: We say that we are moving toward spiritual conception (Ibur). Where are we headed now? How do you assess our current state?

Answer: We are moving toward such a unity where we will truly feel ourselves connected together like a small body. This is the state of Ibur where we have nothing but a common point formed from the connection of many points.

Question: Can this be felt in your own group of ten or in any random group of ten?

Answer: It makes no difference. In spirituality, there is no difference at all. We say a group of ten because there is nothing but that. And if there are thousands or millions of groups of ten, it is still one group of ten. It depends on the scale at which you measure it. You can increase the scale tenfold, a hundredfold, a thousandfold, a millionfold, and then narrow it back down to the minimal, rational one-to-one scale.

In spirituality, one to one is the ten Sefirot, the group of ten. It contains practically everything created by the Creator. In order to unite and correctly envision this group of ten, we sort of break it down into its components and then try to reassemble it, explore how we can connect, achieve some kind of conjunction with each other, and so on.

What does Kabbalah fundamentally deal with? It addresses the laws of communication between egoistic individuals guiding them to organize into a single integral altruistic system known as the ten Sefirot.

The scale, whether larger or smaller, does not matter. It is the same system. We do not need to correct the whole world, all ten billion people; we need to correct ten people.

Questions about Spiritual Work—152

221.0Question: What is the desire to receive I can use for the sake of bestowal to others?

Answer: Anything that the other person wants. If you wish them success, you must use your desire to receive to pass it on to them.

Question: A person has 613 selfish desires. Are they first corrected to bestowing for the sake of bestowal, and then to receiving for bestowal?

Answer: Not all and not necessarily in a specific order. It varies for each person, but generally bestowing for the sake of bestowal is corrected first, followed by receiving for bestowal, from small pleasure to great.

Question: What does it mean that the Torah fills desires?

Answer: The Torah is the quality of bestowal, love, closeness, and peace. You must feel that these feelings fill your desires. Ask for it. Ask for yourself, your friends, for your group, for everyone.

Question: As a child, I saw how tefillin affected my parents when my father put it on. It strengthened their bond and created an even greater desire. How can we increase our desire in a way that we relate to it like tefillin?

Answer: We have a stronger influence—our connection. If we unite with each other and together turn to the Creator, there is nothing greater and higher than this.

Correction with Prayer

947Question: During the day, we have time when we form a prayer. How can we use this time to feel that we are turning to the Creator together?

Answer: Gather together in sensation, as if you are in one place, in one desire, and from it you turn to the Creator, you want to connect to Him and to fill Him with your attitude. Nothing else is needed.

Question: There are different ideas about prayer. Is what is in our hearts already a prayer?

Answer: That is also correct.

Question: On the other hand, you say that first we form an appeal to the Creator, and then, as it were,  must enter Him, raise the general MAN right here and now. But some friends believe that, in principle, that this is not necessary.

Answer: Let everyone participate as they see fit. It doesn’t matter. And then you will analyze your actions and correct them with prayer.

Revelation Is in Unification

528.01Question: What does it mean that we are beginning to reveal the open control of the Creator in our unification?

Answer: If you genuinely unite with each other, then the Creator reveals Himself between you, you feel how He guides you, and change the distance between you relative to each other: now closer, now further, in a circle, and so on.

This is how you understand the Creator’s governance and learn how to relate to the world from Him.

Receive Light for the Friends

945By uniting with my friends, I try to receive the upper light, not for myself, but for them, in order to impart it to them.

I do this precisely because I connect with them, have some understanding of their desires and needs, and thus I raise their desires to the Creator, to the light, to fulfillment from the Creator.

Question: Should they feel fulfilled?

Answer: Not necessarily.

Question: What helps a person strengthen his faith?

Answer: Only connection with the friends where everyone supports each other.

Ask and Act!

239Question: When I sit in a lesson with my ten, a lot of unrelated thoughts run through my head. I understand that during the lesson I should pray for my friends to be able to bestow to them. How can I succeed in this?

Answer: First of all, during the lesson, we should initially think about how to help everyone unite. I was brought here by various egoistic goals and rewards. But now that I am here, I should think about how to do what will benefit others, and I do not need any personal gain. My benefit will be only in bestowing to others. Then I will truly exist in the spiritual space.

Question: But what is the process itself? I understand that I need to ask the Creator for my friends. How do I do this? How can I check whether I have asked or not?

Answer: This will manifest in gestures, words, thoughts—in everything within you. If you do it only for others and not for yourself, it is felt. A person kind of floats in the air; at this time, he is considered an angel. An angel is a natural altruistic force.

Question: What should I do with the resistance that increases?

Answer: Work on it. This is how you acquire the screen, meaning you ask the Creator to give you the ability to act correctly.

Comment: But the resistance stops me.

My Response: No, you must ask. Ask and act. Act and ask.

Question: Is it enough to just remember this?

Answer: Try not to leave this state. If you do, return immediately! Meanwhile, ask the Creator not to throw you out of it again. After all, it was He who made you forget and leave the thought about your friends.

Start working, and you will see how a different order of thoughts will gradually form within you; you will begin to exist outside yourself. This will slowly allow you to distance yourself from your “I,” from your egoism.
