Question: It is said that there is a paradox of power: As soon as we gain it, we lose some abilities. Let us say that empaths become insensitive, honest people become thieves, and professionals become incompetent. Even being in power for just four or five years is already a lot. For example, in ancient Rome and Greece, governors were changed every year.
How was it handled in ancient Israel? Were there any restrictions on those in power?
Answer: In ancient Israel, it was constantly changing. A person cannot be in power if he does not prove to others that he uses the power correctly and that he is morally and mentally superior to others. Therefore, his job was to demonstrate his superior abilities all the time.
For example, a king had to teach, be a judge, issue decrees, and justify them before the assembly. And the assembly consisted of 120 wise men who did not simply obey him; they objected and freely voted “for” or “against.” All this was very complicated.
In addition, there was a limitation of power both over the years and in various areas.

Answer: Maase Bereshit are texts about the creation of the world, about the whole creation, and its system. And Maase Merkava are texts that tell about the work of governance of the systems of this world, the connection of all souls, and their cycles. Both apply specifically to us. We need to uncover these systems and take part in them. It is written about this in The Book of Zohar, maybe a few lines, but through them a person begins to see the whole system.
It is said that The Book of Zohar has a new interpretation every day. It depends on the quality of a person. If he changes, if he becomes more corrected, then every day he sees the Book itself differently. It reveals to him greater and greater depths of its text.

Question: Will the soul of a Jew always be a Jew?
Answer: Yes, because these are the souls from Babylon who aspired to unite with each other and to unite with the Creator. They responded to this call because they belong to the thinnest, upper part of a single soul.

The Jewish souls cannot change because they are different in their root. They correspond to Galgalta ve Eynaim, the part of the common soul that is engaged in the implementation of correction. And the rest of the souls adjoin it and also engage in mutual correction, but with the help of the upper light, which they receive through this upper part.
This is by no means a disregard for the peoples of the world or a preference for some over others. It is just the way things are. By the way, as a result of the mixing of the Jews with the peoples of the world during the spiritual exile, the same states arise in other peoples as for the Jews, and they also rush upward.
We see such examples that took place in the ancient world. These are: Rabbi Akiva, Onkelos who gave us the Aramaic Targum (translation) of the Torah, and others. That is, there were souls who in past exiles received a spiritual gene from Galgalta ve Eynaim, were able to adapt it, and use it even better than the Jews.
