“Can dogs smell cancer?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: Can dogs smell cancer?

Israeli startup, SpotitEarly, uses dogs to detect cancer in people with their sense of smell. The process involves giving patients a mask into which they breathe for a few minutes. The mask is then taken to a laboratory where dogs smell it, and in over 90 percent of cases, dogs have detected the cancer patients. Moreover, it has been found that the dogs can detect cancer in its very early stages, before it shows symptoms.

Indeed, there are several phenomena in nature that we have yet to find out about, and we may well soon discover more of them. Yet this discovery is beautiful, that we can detect cancer in its early stages and save many lives.

It also shows us how despite our powerful technological progress, dogs can detect cancer more effectively than us. This is because we each emit a cloud through which it is possible to detect a lot of information about us, including what we think and feel, as well as our inner illnesses and where they are located. Most animals sense what we emit in that cloud, but since we do not feel animals, then we do not understand what they sense.

We commonly think of human beings as the most developed of all creatures, but we then find such abilities in animals that show how—despite our developed intellect—we are no better than them. A clear indicator of this is the fact that our development leads us to invent and stockpile more and more weapons. That is, the more we lay our hands on things, the more we bring about negative outcomes.

In order to start developing more positively, we need to look a little into the future and ask ourselves a serious question: “What do we really get from us living the way we do?”

What Is Homeopathy?

571.04Question: What is homeopathy?

Answer: There is nothing special about homeopathy. These are the same forces that exist in matter only at its more hidden levels. You seem to use not the properties of matter itself, but the properties of those forces that determine its chemical composition.

Let’s say gold, copper, lead, or some plants, or some liquids are used to make homeopathic medicines, it does not matter what they are made of. By homeopathic dilution of substances, one draws strength from these materials and uses them. In general, it is not the substance itself that is used, but its power.

It is a very good thing to give the body an opportunity to work with those substances with which it cannot cope on its own. For example, I cannot give the body any poison, but in homeopathy, I can do it.

And there are very interesting combinations. Let’s say for depression, homeopathy prescribes Aurum (Au-gold), its power, because depression mainly derives from greed.

The main cure for infertility and other female problems is Sepia. This is the fluid that accumulates in a frog when its sac swells.

For overactive, demanding male workaholics, Nux Vomica is used.

These materials are good because they impact the system of human energies also by forces and not by matter.

Usually, when treatment is carried out with the help of chemicals, it is necessary to prescribe a lot of drugs to impact the nervous system or other internal systems of a person, not material but already on a different level.

And here, you act precisely by force against force: you add, correct, give the body a challenge, or, conversely, help it.

“Why would we want to bring back extinct animals?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: Why would we want to bring back extinct animals?

I received this question from my student who mentioned a project of a company that is working to bring back the dodo—a large flightless bird that became extinct about 350 years ago—with the help of gene editing. The bird had lived for millions of years in the forests of Mauritius, close to the coasts of Africa, and according to scientists, the process will be completed in six years and the extinct animal will return to the forests of Mauritius.

I answered him that it is forbidden for us to intervene with nature, because nature is smarter and revives what it wishes back to life.

We only need to reach balance among each other, that we will not fight each other, but rather live like any other species that has its rightful place in nature.

If we manage to reach balance among each other at the human level, then our balance will positively influence the entire system of nature on its still, vegetative and animate levels as well, because we are the species with the greatest amount of influence in nature.

Just from achieving balanced human connection, we might very well see the dodo or other species come back to life, simply due to nature’s will. This is because nothing disappears in nature. If a certain species had existed, it means that its information exists in nature, and when we organize our relations in a way that makes room for everyone in nature’s general system, then all parts of nature will gradually return to their place.

You Need to Live Now

760.4Question: Victoria writes: “So often I want to forget everything that has happened. So many days, so many years have been wasted, so many mistakes have been made. But no matter how hard I try, I cannot forget. My memory again and again emits pictures of the past that cannot be erased.

Tell me, why are we given memory? If only it were given to learn, to memorize something necessary. But no, it often breaks the heart. So, what is it given for?”

Answer: I think that this occurs in you because you are very eager for the future, and therefore, for some reason, you feel sorry for the past, that you did not have time for something. Do not worry. One should always think that every moment that has passed is made by the Creator, and it all depended on Him alone. Therefore, in no case should we worry about the past, the future, or anything, but only the given moment.

Question: So, you can say thank you for what happened, whatever it was, right?

Answer: For everything that has been, for everything that is, and for everything that will be. But the most important thing is to live now. Only in the present. In Kabbalah, there seems to be no past or future tense, only the present.

Question: Do you ever regret anything in the past? Does your memory ever cut out something that makes you suddenly shiver?

Answer: It is all gone.

Question: Do I live in the compartment of today?

Answer: Not even in a day, but the moment.

Comment: Now we are talking with you, this is this life. And everything that has been and everything that will be is not a concern anymore.

My Response: All this does not depend on us in any way.

Comment: Teach me to live like this. I can say that, but if I am tested in a second, I will be a rag.

My Response: No, I am clearly not worried about the past. Although, if you count how much time I have wasted and for what, then of course it is…

Comment: Heaps.

My Response: But that is how it should be. Agree with the fact that the Creator does everything, and that is for sure for the past! And you fully support Him, trust Him, and accept Him.

Question: But how about the future? Everyone dreams of something about the future, everyone hopes for something that will happen in the future. It cannot be taken away from a person.

Answer: If you are thinking about the future, then, you are taking it away from the Creator. This is also forbidden.

Question: Is this also His prerogative?

Answer: Yes.

Question: So, if I define this formula for myself, what is it?

Answer: At the moment I am connected with the Creator, merge with Him, cling to Him and I do not want anything else. That is how a child sticks to its mother, and that is what he wants. This is it, nothing more! That is how we should be.

Question: So the basis of this formula is to stick to the Creator?

Answer: Yes.

Question: His past, His future. And yet this is my present, is it mine? Do I exist here after all?

Answer: I do. In the present, that is me. And only I determine, so to say, that I want to be with the Creator, to hold on to Him.

Question: Right now?

Answer: Yes.

Question: I see. Then will all the sorrows go away?

Answer: There is nothing else. Nothing.

True Attainment or Drug Intoxication?

49.01Question: Is it possible to study Kabbalah in a drugged condition?

Answer: No, on the contrary, it requires immense internal tension, absolutely sober thoughts, feelings, and reactions. This is not the buzz, when you have to be in some kind of frenzy surrounded by smoke that is necessary for mystical actions. Here you need a very clear head, and very clear feelings, desires, and thoughts where you know how to manage them.

I used to think that if spirituality is somewhere out there, then the more I disconnect from this world, the closer I will be to the spiritual one, and it will enter me directly. I just open my mouth only half-consciously and—voila! I connect directly.

No! This is absolutely not true. We see this in all of our activities. Spirituality is revealed only with attainment, sensation, effort, and mobilization of internal reserves. Neither alcohol, drugs, nor some kind of ups and downs will help. On the contrary, they disconnect a person from the spiritual and include him in some kind of internal trip and nothing more.

Kabbalah is not just for or against drugs and alcohol. After all, when you are sitting with friends, you can drink a little in order to relax on a human level but not to get drunk, rather, relax a little because a person has internal locks in his relations with others.

In addition, if a person is doing very serious inner work, then alcohol and drugs quickly burn out. It all depends on one’s internal tension.

Kabbalah starts shaking you so much that drugs do not help here. You feel like you fell out of life. The rest have gone far ahead, and you seem to be crawling out of the basement into the light of day.

I have never tried drugs in my life. I had a rejection of any means that could cut myself off from real attainment of the upper world. Therefore, I could not accept any religion or any other teachings. When they told me: “You have to believe, you have to accept, you have to switch off,” it did not exist for me, but only real attainment, real analysis, and synthesis of knowledge.

“Is the world really controlled by just a few families?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: Is the world really controlled by just a few families?

Indeed, we live within a power hierarchy where only a few dozen families control the world and do whatever they wish for themselves. It seems as if they have limitless abilities with their power, as they limit humanity from obtaining true information, acquiring certain medication, normal food and cheaper energy that we could have long used instead of oil. They act based on their egoistic pursuits and position.

We are powerless to create any different kind of order in our world unless we rise to a degree of connection where we start feeling the positive forces dwelling in nature, which are currently concealed from us. We will then exit this power structure we find ourselves in. These few families cannot stand in the way of nature’s governance and limit our world in its positive form of development.

The wisdom of Kabbalah calls these people in power “angels.” The Kabbalistic meaning of “angels” is completely different to the way most people think about that word. “Angels” means certain forces that are under the complete control of the upper force, and these ones in question function as a shadow of our flaws.

If we positively connect in a way that adapts us to the positive forces of nature—forces of love, bestowal and connection—we neutralize negative forms of control over us. For the time being, however, while we remain detached in our egoistic connections, each one pulling their own way, then it is as if we sustain those few families’ power. In other words, we ourselves are their power source, and we create the conditions for their existence.

Therefore, our progress to a harmonious and peaceful future depends on our transformation to positively connect. When we do so, we will feel the powers over us operating out of absolute love and care—an attitude that will grant everyone access to the most powerful, boundless and perfect form of fulfillment.

Is Food the Meaning of Life?

506.3Comment: People spend most of their life on food, everything revolves around nutrition. Why is the system built in such a way that the process of nutrition practically occupies our entire life?

My Response: What else would you do?

If we had organized life in our world correctly, in accordance with the upper spiritual roots, we would deal with the food issue for a maximum of two hours a day for normal, rational self-sustenance and devote the rest of the time to our spiritual development and fulfillment.

Instead, we spend time making unnecessary things, selling them to each other, quickly bringing them to the “cemetery,” and making new ones.

In principle, sleep, nutrition, and spiritual work are what a person needs in this life in order to quickly begin to feel a new, quantum spiritual world and pass into eternity, into perfection.

What else do we need? Why should we linger here, at this waypoint?

“Why is Passover important today?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: Why is Passover important today?

Kabbalists relate to Passover with utmost importance because it represents an exit from our egoistic nature, the desire to enjoy at the expense of others and nature, which separates us from sensing the eternal and whole reality in which we exist.

The exit from our narrow egoistic perception into one where we exist in a common positive connection is the start of the spiritual path. The more we develop, the more we feel our egoistic nature suffocating us, leading us to an increasing entanglement of problems and crises.

Why? It is in order to grow a new desire in us: to escape from our egoistic closure in order to move toward a new state of positive human connection.

In the language of Kabbalah, this shift is described as the restoration of the common vessel of Adam HaRishon, our return to one common soul in which we feel ourselves—all of humanity—as parts of one massive desire that is filled with an immense force of love and bestowal, which binds us together in complete harmony.

It is for that reason that Kabbalists consider Passover the most important of all holidays. The word for Passover in Hebrew, “Pesach,” means to “leap” (pasach). Making a leap means shifting from a state of egoistic reception to altruistic bestowal.

It is truly a special holiday when we exit our egoism and begin a fascinating journey into the spiritual world.

Preparing for Passover means preparing our desire to want to include everyone together as one, for everyone to fill our innermost desire, that our thoughts and aspirations would be aimed in a purely spiritual direction: to connect among each other and with the Creator—the force of love and bestowal that connects us.
