Want to Unite With All Your Heart

623Question: What can we do so everyone would have the same intention simultaneously during the day?

Answer: To stay constantly connected, in one desire, in one request throughout the day is a very difficult prerequisite, but if you are getting closer to that state, it is good.

Question: But if we want this with all our hearts—to have a strong ten, the lessons, and you, and to remain in constant connection—what are we missing?

Where is this transition to a permanent connection? What should we add to unification?

Answer: This depends on the right combination of your desires and direction toward the Creator.

Two Signals of Connection

239Question: You said we need to use our imagination and seek contact with the Creator within our hearts. How does this relate to seeking the Creator in the connection between us?

Answer: We aim to tune ourselves to connection with the Creator where we can identify what goes from us to the Creator and what returns to us from Him.

This involves just two signals: the signal we send to the Creator and the signal we receive from Him. Our task is to clearly distinguish between what pertains to reception and what pertains to bestowal.

All of this happens within the connection between us.

Focus Desire on the Creator

938.07The connection of speaking to the Creator brings him life, if he appreciates the fact that he is conversing with the Creator (Rabash, Article 3, “What It Means that the Name of the Creator Is ‘Truth’”).

Question: What should we add to elevate the value of and strengthen connection with the Creator?

Answer: Think only about the fact that when you unite, your connection with the Creator becomes stronger, more profound, and you need nothing else.

When each person in the group expresses themselves in relation to it, when you can all unite and focus your desire on the Creator, you thereby form the vessel (Kli) in which you will receive His response.

Time to Scatter Stones and Time to Gather Stones

600.02Question: You said that my role in the group is to help my friends reveal the Creator. What should I do to dissolve into my friends?

Answer: On one hand, I dissolve into my friends, and on the other hand, I am as if above them, trying to determine their movement, their fate.

Question: Which is preferable?

Answer: There is no preference here, because there is a time for both. There is a time to scatter stones and time to gather stones.

These are two sides, right and left, that must always be present in our work. We should not neglect either. There cannot be a plus without a minus. This is how we should act.

Signs of Advancement

544Question: Can I evaluate my progress relative to the state of the group?

Answer: If you study The Book of Zohar (especially this book) even though it doesn’t tell you anything and seems so incomprehensible, distant and even repugnant to your entire being, you don’t understand it at all, and its characters and actions seem absurd, yet, despite all this, you accept it as a necessary tool for connecting with the source of the upper force that can change you, and you use it.

It’s like a child who doesn’t know or understand but is compelled by nature to nullify themselves in relation to adults, to learn from them, and to mimic them like a little monkey without understanding what they are doing simply because that is what adults do. Similarly, we, by naively following the guidance of Kabbalistic texts and recognizing that they contain the source of some transformative force, suddenly begin to feel that they are working on us.

Initially, we are given a certain desire for this, a realization that there is no other way, and a group that can push us in this direction. But in the end, what is required is patience.

This involves studying the material, participating in dissemination efforts, and working within the group over months and months. Then suddenly you begin to feel that something is happening to you, something is working. You change. You suddenly feel a deeper understanding of what is going on interspersed with periods of greater confusion. This is the path.

It is a period of serious formation, a transition from one world to another. It is not simple and takes a significant amount of time. But this is the essence of our entire history, all those millions of years of development that are now approaching their critical, culminating point of realization when we transition into another state, another dimension.

All of this is about to happen to us, to those who seriously work on themselves, who wish to adopt this spiritual framework represented by The Book of Zohar, and pass through it into the other dimension.

Two-Way Communication

938.02Question: You said that from our collective feeling we become worthy of the Creator’s response to our request. At what point will this happen?

Answer: We become worthy of the Creator’s response the moment our desires and requests to receive and to bestow align with the Creator’s will toward us. Then we become interconnected.

I receive from the Creator what He sends to me, or I send to the Creator and He receives it. A two-way connection is formed between us. Many Kabbalistic sources speak about this. So we will quickly understand how this connection is established and experienced.

The Creator Is Always Open

962.3Question: How can one speak with the Creator so that this conversation becomes constant like communication between people?

Answer: That depends on you. The Creator is always open. He has no schedule divided into morning or evening, night or day. He is always open and in an active state.

The more often you engage in exercises aimed at uniting with one another and within that unity direct yourselves toward the Creator with a desire to feel His state and how He perceives you, the faster you will establish a close and direct connection with Him.

Knowledge of the Creator

237Question: Baal HaSulam writes that only knowledge is added to a worker of the Creator who merits contact with Him. What kind of knowledge is this?

Answer: A person who is worthy of contact with the Creator comprehends that everything is revealed in one Kli, in one desire, through connection and love. Therefore, our understanding of the Creator comes down to feeling Him as the only source of everything that exists. Then we will have no questions.

Genuine contact with the Creator occurs when a person realizes his inner connection with Him through all his friends. This is the goal of the development of our world.

An Exercise in Reflection

530Question: You said that true contact with the Creator occurs when a person attains one’s inner connection with the Creator through one’s friends.

What exercise can we do in the ten to build such an attainment among us?

Answer: To achieve this, you must strive to attain connection between yourselves and connection between each of you through the Creator. Divide one by the other and you will discover the specific strength that acts within you from the Creator. This will already be a significant accomplishment.

The Gift We Expect from the Creator

935The only gift we expect from the Creator is the ability to reach bestowal Lishma. Maybe I don’t even know what this truly is because I have never experienced such qualities within myself. But I expect to receive this gift that I currently have no real understanding of.

Lishma is a gift that comes to me from the Creator, a gift that grants me the ability to bestow upon a friend or the Creator without expecting any compensation in return.

While I have not yet received this gift, I want to strengthen my connection with the Creator, i.e., to draw Him closer to me or conversely push myself closer to Him through prayer. I seek to establish a strong bond with Him, one that cannot be broken.

We were born to unite with the Creator, to receive delight from Him through this connection, to be filled by it, and ultimately to achieve similarity of qualities with the Creator.

First  I should try to connect with Him on the same wavelength that came to me as a result of His response. Once I feel that I have established this feedback loop with the Creator, I want to convey my most pressing desire to Him and embed my prayer within the thread that links us. I hope that in response the Creator will establish an unbreakable connection between us.

Thus, I continuously exchange messages with Him. I reach out to the Creator, and the Creator responds to me, and I am getting closer and closer to Him. I am constantly trying to understand what the Creator wants from me, how He wants us to unite with our friends so that through this unity we can turn to Him together.

Through this process we will discern what kind of relationship or wavelength evokes a response from Him, and in doing so, we will build our connection with the Creator.

I must exert effort to extend a thread from myself to the Creator and in turn to draw a thread from the Creator back to myself. When this reciprocal connection is established, I can be certain of a two-way bond.

The essence of the science of Kabbalah is precisely in establishing this mutual connection between a person and the Creator. This connection, known as Lishma, is a gift from the Creator.
