Our sages have already said, “You have not a generation without such as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Indeed, that Godly man, Rav [teacher, great one] Isaac Luria [the ARI], troubled and provided us the fullest measure.

He did wondrously more than his predecessors, and if I had a tongue that praises, I would praise that day when his wisdom appeared almost as the day when the Torah was given to Israel (Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to the Book Panim Meirot uMasbirot”).

Indeed, the whole method of correction came to us from the ARI. He realized everything that had been laid down by all prior Kabbalists.

The soul of the ARI occupies such a place in the general system of souls that from it onward, the light begins to influence all souls, leading them to the final correction (Gmar Tikkun).

Before the ARI, all development took place at stages 0, 1, 2, 3, and only the ARI with his corrections in the system of souls entered into the 4th stage and began to build the authentic Malchut in its final form.

He is Sefira Yesod (the last one before Malchut), and he is therefore called Moshiach ben Yosef (Yosef means Sefira Yesod) after which Malchut begins to correct itself.

All prior souls were part of the souls of the preparation period of correction. And only starting with the ARI does the general awakening of all souls begin.

Of course, this process takes hundreds of years, but the ARI opened the way to the light from the previous three stages to the last, the fourth, and the correction has begun!

Moshiach is the revelation of the light in the general system of souls. This light enters Malchut through Yesod. The ARI opens the gates for the light and is therefore called Moshiach ben Yosef.

The Messiah is the force of correction. The ARI portrays this force running through his soul. Being in the general system, he makes corrections in his soul, and now light flows through it into Malchut and affects the souls.

But now, it is on us to prepare our souls for the ascent from Malchut to Bina. This process already relates to the correction of Malchut—Moshiach ben David.

Starting from Adam, the earlier a Kabbalist lived, the closer he was connected to the root and the higher he stood. All those who came after him received the light through him.

But for those who want to connect with the ray of light coming from infinity, the last, closest Kabbalist is always more important, because it is he who connects and unites us with the light, with the Creator. For us, this Kabbalist is Baal HaSulam.

He writes that he was honored to convey the wisdom of Kabbalah to us. And we are honored to have such a soul revealed to us that brings us the methodology of Kabbalah, thanks to which we can reveal the Creator.

The writings of Baal HaSulam are the only ones suitable in our time for achieving the spiritual goal. Only the books of Baal HaSulam carry the light necessary for our correction. To prepare for them, the articles of RABASH are required.

The revelation of the Creator to creations, i.e., spiritual liberation, must become complete for everyone,  that is, their teaching is a teaching for the whole world.

Question: What special thing did Baal HaSulam do besides adapting Kabbalah for our generation?

Answer: Baal HaSulam was a great Kabbalist of the first half of the 20^th century. He summarized all of Lurianic Kabbalah (the Kabbalah of the ARI), organized it into a system, and presented it in The Study of the Ten Sefirot. In addition, he wrote many articles, several Introductions to The Book of Zohar, and turned Kabbalah into a true science.

In his writings, Baal HaSulam was the first to address ordinary people. Before him, Kabbalists wrote only for those who had already attained the upper world.

He was the first to spread Kabbalah to the public, because from his time onward, the world entered a period of spiritual ascent, even if it is not yet revealed. It is an accumulating, gradually building process.

Moreover, Baal HaSulam began to spread Kabbalah not only to Jews, but to the whole world wherever possible. He wrote openly about this: “I am glad that I have been born in such a generation when it is permitted to disclose the wisdom of truth, and I have been given permission to disclose Kabbalah in the world.”

Baal HaSulam’s eldest son, RABASH, was the great Kabbalist of the second half of the 20^th century, and our teacher. This is why our organization is called Bnei Baruch (Sons of Baruch); it is in his honor. From him, we received the Kabbalistic method that we study today.

He wrote three volumes of articles explaining the entire spiritual work of a person, how to attain the upper worlds. In addition, many of his archival recordings have been preserved but not yet published, and we are working on them.

A person can exist within the desires of a “slave,” a “woman,” and a “child,” whether they understand them or not. After all, an infant is so little; it does not understand its own state. A person might say: “I am little.” Why? Because one sees the “big” one. But what does it mean to be “little”? One must become “big” in order to examine what it means to be “little.”

A person cannot comprehend the level they are on, one cannot surpass it, because the cause of their level and all the forces acting upon it exist on a higher level, perhaps not even the closest higher one, but a level that contains Rosh, Toch, and Sof acting in relation to their current state.

A child may be two, three, or four years old; these are all levels, but not levels from which he can know what a small child truly is.

Therefore, in any case, when we are talking about people immersed in self-love who are in fact under the control of the desire to receive, then because they are under its influence, they are not free from it.

And in order to advance them, to pull them from level to level, from state to state, until they exit the desire to receive and acquire the property of Bina, to be able to critically analyze this desire and determine their relationship to it at least to some degree independently, we must relate to them in a way that their own desire wants advancement. Otherwise, by what means would they move forward?

Thus, one must supply their desire to receive with appropriate fulfillments each time.

This is exactly what the sages, the Kabbalists who understand human nature, advise.

Question: You have repeatedly said that essentially your answers do not provide any solutions; they are just information.

Answer: Yes, there is truth in that because until a person internally understands this information, realizes it, and feels it, he is not its carrier; he is merely a listener. It means nothing, it is not his, and he cannot work with it.

If we are talking about the fact that his work must be internal, then he must find this information within himself. Therefore all my words are intended only to direct a person’s search in the right direction.

Comment: But in any case, beyond the words you say, there is some kind of force that you transmit. Many people feel it.

My Response: Naturally, I transmit my inner fulfillment to others, and a person who wants to be close to our path, to me, and to this idea, receives it. He begins to shake inside, and he feels it.

Question: What exactly are you transmitting? Are you transmitting inner experience, or light, or force?

Answer: I cannot transmit the inner light to another person unless I have a shared screen with him. I transmit only the surrounding light. That is why people feel ascents, descents, and some internal movements; but these are only from the outside, under my influence. These are not the personal feelings of a person where he feels the light enter, exit, and work in his soul.

Comment: So essentially a person listens to you and suddenly feels “Wow! That is exactly it! I feel what he is talking about.”

My Response: That is psychology. What you are talking about is psychology. That is still not light, not Kabbalah, but rather the person’s emotional response in the heart and in the mind. It is an ordinary earthly adaptation to what I am saying, but not spiritual. For the spiritual, he must have some property similar to mine, a Kli.

Question: What is the basis for the unity of the people of Israel?

Answer: First of all, people feel on an animalistic level that the whole world hates them. Therefore we must explain that the entire world hates them because the Creator is displeased with them, that He is standing behind all the nations of the world and treats them this way. We must explain that He does not like them in their current state. They are the people of Israel. This main emphasis should be on this.

For the world, the explanation must be somewhat different, about what the real reason for its suffering, and the way out. There the explanation must be more general.

With regard to Israel, the explanation is simpler. They have a direct problem with the Creator. They do not strive for adhesion with Him; this is the source of the problem.

With regard to the world, the problem is twofold. Each time they receive a blow because Israel is not corrected, and it does not bring them abundance from the Creator.

Here, the explanation must be more moderate, with the right approach so that it is not distorted and turned into even greater antisemitism, which not only will not help, but will also hinder the correct development, and then neither we nor the whole world will be worthy of good. The explanation must be comprehensive. The reason and the solution must be explained very clearly so that it cannot be interpreted differently.

That is, the explanation must be comprehensive and true. It is not easy.

How can one rationally explain the general law of the universe? It is from two directions. First is from the human, social side of life. Here we can rely on scientists and philosophers of all kinds, who arrive at similar conclusions through their research.

They come to results that are very close to the idea that an upper force exists in the world that possesses reason and its own freewill, and that there are individual changes in relation to us that depend solely on it. That is, it is not a blind nature, but something referred to as an upper thought.

Scientists discover this even through their study of nature. I understand them very well in this because, in some way, I also came from that direction.

And from our side, we must, to the extent we can, explain the wisdom of Kabbalah and cleanse it from the assorted rubbish that has stuck to it. As much as we can, we must point people to what is written in the true, ancient sources. There is no person who would disregard them. They may be feared, but no one dismisses them entirely.

It is good if we manage to present these sources in such a way that, in addition to direct quotations, we also provide a very simple, easy explanation, one that can be absorbed by anyone quickly and effortlessly.

It must be something that is grasped instantly, even by a person with little understanding. After all, people today do not have time, cannot stay immersed in a thought for more than a few seconds, and their level of perception is very limited.

What does “quick and easy” mean? It means as close as possible to their Kelim (vessels), according to the law of equivalence of form. It should be that in order for them to perceive an idea, little effort is needed that each time they need to exert effort or overcome something in order to grasp the idea, that effort is very small, a slight reflection, and they have caught it, and with a little bit of thought, they have absorbed it.

Exactly like that. Just a little effort, and what I intended to pass on is already within them.

Question: If we address the wider public, will we need to raise the topic of the group and show that it is a much more general concept?

Answer: I think the topic of the group is actually a very easy one to explain to the public. After all, the people of Israel are not a nation in the usual sense of the word.

At its foundation, it is a group of Kabbalists established by Abraham. The nation exists as a group, in collective responsibility, in relationships of equality by birth, always with a dismissive attitude toward money and honors.

Throughout all generations, the values of the nation were spiritual. If we add to this the antisemitism and general hatred from the world, it becomes clear that from both the side of good—the spiritual side, and the side of evil—the corporeal side, the entire nation is driven from two directions to exist as a group.

Therefore, this approach, when we speak about ourselves and include the entire nation in this process as a group, is very positive and truly resonates.

In the heart of each person, there is something that is rarely found in other nations, a sense of mutual dependence on one another. At the same time, the nation is split into factions that treat one another in extreme ways with hatred, with envy, which is something not seen in other nations.

A nation may be divided into several religions or parts that do not even interact, yet they allow each other to live. But here, that is not the case. There is no tolerance for division within the nation into factions.

We need to explain that, in fact, this is what brings all the evil that exists, that we are all responsible for one another “as one man with one heart.” The people already have a certain readiness for this: they understand that this is harmful, even on a corporeal level, and can also come to realize that, spiritually, this is damaging.

Question: Are there any well-known scientists today who assert in their research that the upper force exists?

Answer: There are many such scientists. We are in contact with them and try to show how, through research of nature and research of the inner world of man, we come to the same result: that there is an upper force above us with certain properties, which apparently has a specific purpose in relation to us, and we should check our reactions with this.

And what is happening to us now is happening because we do not have the correct connection with this force and because we do not comply with the laws established by it in nature.

Today there are enough people in the world with education, titles, and status both in society and in science who can state this in a way that it can be heard.

And on the other hand, we who are engaged in the science of Kabbalah can add to everything they have said. We can add confirmation from Kabbalah to all their discoveries in quantum physics, in the study of biological forms of life, or in the study of the psychological nature of man. Kabbalah explains why this happens at all levels of nature: still, vegetative, animate. Kabbalah adds explanations together with them, and in opposition to them. In this way, we clarify things to such an extent that they will be easy and convincing for the general public.

This is from the human side. But from the side of the upper force, since we still do not fulfill its will, we are of course facing even worse states ahead. For it is known that blows purify a person, and then he becomes sensitive enough to understand and hear that these blows depend on something he does not understand and for which he does not see a reason. And since he wants to get rid of them, he will want to find the cause even though it is hidden.

Thus we come to a certain stage where we explain, together with scientists and with specialists who will actually be able to present our explanation, the “means to avoid blows.” On the other hand, society is already in a state where it wants to hear: “It does not matter what the solution is; just give it!” It is like a sick person who demands medicine just to get rid of the problem. This process is very rational.

In whatever form we address society with our ideas, we will be forced to do so in such a way that it will be clear to a person that, in accordance with his development, he must change his attitude toward the Creator.

And to the extent that he is capable, he will be immersed in changing his attitude, and to the extent that he is not capable, he will be immersed not in the attitude itself in its pure form but in physical work, which will be the expression of this attitude: to build, to do, to participate. That is all.

Essentially, it is hidden from him that through his physical actions he also sets forces in motion and does not do something that exists within the framework of this world. In the end, it is only a matter of concealment. Let’s say I bring you a gift, and it is clear to us that this gift should be some kind of object, and I am not capable of more; after all, it is possible that I am not participating in it with my heart at all.

It is hidden from us that within this gift, within this attitude, there is a higher action, and on those high levels on which we exist, this is already manifested in the form of forces and intentions. But I cannot come to society and say: “We exist in a world of forces and intentions. With their help, we set reality in motion and not through material actions. The material does not do anything and does not mean anything.”

I cannot address the general public in this form, but since we have reached the general public with an explanation suitable for them, gradually more and more people (and through suffering too) will see that something is happening to which they do not have an answer. We suffer nonetheless, and there is something to that.

When people feel bad, they suddenly remember that there is the “evil eye,” and that someone thinks badly of them; otherwise, why is nothing working out for them? The more a person delves into this, the more he feels that there are forces, and that it is these forces that are working and not the material.

Moreover, people will come who in some way will participate in the actions of raising MAN (prayers for correction) in the correct form, in the correct attire relative to the upper force. There is no choice. The world will come to this.
