Hatred, rejection, disagreement, and misunderstanding are in essence the opposite form of the Creator, the opposite form of unity. From that, we gradually come to the attainment of the Creator.

The more we develop from generation to generation, the more we feel ourselves as individualists separated from others. Yet, if we cover all crimes with love, we will be able to connect above all differences.

The difference between rejection and connection, between hatred and love, gives the intensity of the revelation of the Creator. This difference remains as the depth of desire on top of which the connection arises: restriction, screen, and reflected light. Then between the minus and the plus, we feel the power of the revelation of the Creator who, like glue, connects all the opposites together.

This is why the Creator broke the common soul of Adam HaRishon, entered with all His force between its broken pieces, and stayed there in His opposite form so that we could reveal Him from His opposite to understand love from hatred, unity and connection from rejection and misunderstanding, until we come to complete adhesion.

Therefore, connecting the parts of Adam HaRishon into one system or revealing the Creator who is gluing us together is one and the same.

The work is simple: between me and my friends is the Creator in the opposite form, which , through my efforts, request, and prayer, I transform from the force of rejection into the force of connection, adhesion, so that the darkness will shine as light. In the place of endless hatred, the black abyss between us, the strongest light will appear, the connection and love of a great strength precisely because of the revealed darkness.

We understand that reality consists of good and evil, that one cannot be without the other and both are equally important because it is in the connection between them that the Creator is revealed. It is very difficult to keep hatred when love comes. We do not want to think about hatred, we are drawn to love with all our heart. It is a much harder job to hold on to hatred and not throw yourself into the ocean of love.

However, we must consist of both of them, and only then do we stand opposite the Creator. The Creator is a single force of absolute good. We, however, include two forces and build a middle line between them with the help of the Creator, who is there with us.

We have to get used to the fact that every person always includes two opinions, two forces, two opposite desires. In the correct creation, two forms of nature must be combined, and in the middle between them, we want to establish the Creator so that “He who makes peace above will make peace upon us and upon all Israel.” By understanding the difference between good and evil, light and darkness, we reveal the upper force upon the contrast of opposite states. If we try to reveal good and evil, hatred and love, separation and connection, rejection and attraction between friends, we will reveal the Creator between us and build a middle line.

Hatred and love support each other like oil and a wick, which together light up a candle. There must always be resistance (a wick), an inability to connect, and, at the same time, oil and light. This is how we build the correct attitude to reality.

Therefore, all the attempts of the world to come to good will only lead to even greater revelation of evil until we realize that we need a different method for our existence. We cannot destroy each other by eliminating all opposites, as egoism would like. On the contrary, it is by using all the opposites that we can construct the middle line. This will now become evident everywhere in the world, especially in the most developed countries.

Opposites remain, but all transgressions are covered with love. If we do not follow this path, we will not be able to create and maintain a family, raise children, or achieve peace between parties within the country and between countries. We will become a destructive force in nature. Inanimate matter, plants, and animals can exist because they are controlled by nature and instinctively act correctly. Humans, however, can only exist if they find the middle line.

If we overcome the resistance of the egoism allotted to us according to the root of the soul to the fullest and reach connection in the ten, then the Creator can be revealed between us.

The opposition between light and darkness, separation and connection, reaches such a point that this contrast between egoism and holiness is sufficient to make darkness shine as light. The first light is revealed in us, the light of Nefesh, and we enter the path of light.

The tension between disconnection and the yearning to connect reaches such a magnitude that it makes the light turn on, like a light bulb that lights up on 220 volts. The intensity of our connection and our opposition becomes so great that darkness begins to shine as light. From the darkness, we invite and draw the Creator into our connection.

To the extent that I get used to appreciate the dark states in which I have no desire, no mind, no correct thoughts, and know that they connect us, I turn on the light in my dark soul, that is, I reveal the Creator more and more.

We feel how the coarseness of the egoistic desire (Aviut) is being revealed between us in the ten. This is only a small part of the rejection, hatred, and distance that really exists between us.

Only a small fraction of this hatred is revealed to us, the fraction that we can overcome. The more distant we naturally feel in relation to each other and the extent despite that we draw close and unite in one heart despite that, the bigger our spiritual Kli will be.

Our distancing is our Yesod, the foundation of the Partzuf. And connecting in some desires, despite the resistance, is the inner part of the Partzuf where we can work together in receiving for the sake of bestowal relative to the Creator. This is how we build the head and body of the spiritual Partzuf.

Everything is built on the fact that there is a great desire to receive pleasure that divides us, a huge hatred, like with the disciples of Rabbi Shimon in whom hatred flared up more and more every day. But they overcame it, united over this hatred, and thus they built the body of the Partzuf and an appeal to the Creator, that is, the head.

In this form, they began to practically reveal the qualities of the Creator, building their spiritual Partzuf, and climbing the steps of the ladder.

With each step, distance and hatred, unity and love grow, as well as similarity to the Creator, the common power of love. This is how we rise until we correct ourselves to perfect, absolute love.

The middle line is the Creator’s patent, a divine invention. Indeed, two forces of nature are combined in the middle line—positive and negative, bestowal and reception, love and hate, rejection and attraction—everything that exists in reality, both in the upper world of bestowal and in the lower world of receiving.

In this connection, they do not cancel each other but try to complement each other, which would seem impossible. After all, how can fire and water, hatred and love, connect, how can two opposites live and exist together in the middle line so that there will not be anything unnecessary in the universe? How was it possible to create such a perfect picture where it is impossible to remove or add a single detail?

We, in our world, do not understand this. People always want to destroy all the bad and have only good in their lives. But this is not the right approach.

Kabbalah is called the hidden wisdom because it teaches how to combine all the opposites in nature. One does not suppress the other, but through their combination, integration, they understand that they cannot exist without each other and that only by their right combination is perfection achieved.

Humanity is looking for all possible forms and methods of existence to achieve peace. This is not easy to do even between two people. Peace and perfection are the prerogative of the Creator and what man lacks.

The Creator created us with an evil inclination and gave us a little bit of good so that we would look for how to combine all this. And when we finally despair from the impossibility of combining these two opposites, we gradually begin to realize that a third force is missing. We do not need to cancel one of the forces as politicians and other people try to do, each in their own egoism.

If we develop correctly, we will see that there is nothing bad or good in the world. It is only necessary to bring good and evil together, and in their correct combination, we will discover the third state, perfection, woven from both of them.

That is why it is said, “Man and woman, if they are rewarded, the Shechina is between them.” Man and woman are two opposites, like fire and water. But perfection is possible when the Shechina, the presence of the Creator, is revealed between them.

The Creator is the third line, which is revealed precisely when trying to work correctly with two opposite lines. Bestowal without reception and reception without bestowal cannot exist. The correct connection between them is the wisdom of Kabbalah because this connection builds a spiritual vessel for receiving the light where there is a depth of desire and Holiness—everything necessary for the revelation of the third line, the Creator.

The middle line is the revelation of the Creator. It begins with Keter, which is higher than all the Sefirot, higher than creation. Then it continues in Sefira Daat, created by the connection of Hochma and Bina in the Sefira of Jacob. Then, in the connection of Hesed and Gevura, in Sefira Tifferet, which will be the middle line in the body. It ends at the end of the Partzuf, in the connection of Netzach and Hod—Sefira Yesod.

So we must each, within oneself and within the ten, find, clarify, and build this middle line in which we will reveal the Creator. Everyone should be both above and below everyone. That is, one becomes flexible in relation to one’s friends, ready to do anything to lead to global connection.

As a result, we become so flexible that we only think about how to support and strengthen our friends, and feel how the group is being shaped more and more correctly thanks to my efforts. Everyone who cares so much about the group builds himself as a middle line, directs himself exactly at the Creator, and reveals Him within himself.

But he came to the middle line precisely because he wanted to join the group, support it, and correctly perceive all its positive and negative states. These opposites should not create a short circuit and should not move infinitely away from each other, but they should be so close that the middle line system is built between them.

The middle line does not exist in nature; it must be constructed by us, as it is said: “You Have Made Me.”

Coming closer to the middle line begins when I realize that I am nothing without the friends and the group. When I come to the lesson preparation, I feel dead, empty, without feelings, unprepared. But when I hear my friends talking, waking each other up, I wake up too. It is through their awakening that I am reborn.

This is how my “day” begins, and I become more and more ready to meet the ten and the Creator within it. This is what practical Kabbalah consists of, building a middle line, a common place between us. And in this common area, we discover all our opposite qualities and states that the Creator has sent down to us from above and build a spiritual vessel from them in which we reveal Him.

When I listen to speeches from the Knesset [the legislative branch of the Israeli government], I wonder what kind of elections they are talking about. What are we going to choose? Does every speaker have a program to bring the whole country together and make society a better place? No one can offer any solution for connection, each only tries to prove their case.

But in this form, everyone is wrong, everyone brings separation, and there is no one to follow. No one calls for connection and unity, but only demonstrates how he is the only one who is right and the others are wrong. If this continues, of course, we will hold elections not only four times a year but every day. I do not know how the state can function in such conditions.

We must understand that only our internal efforts to unite the whole nation and the whole world can bring peace to the world. Otherwise, explosive points will always arise that threaten to flare up in war.

Nothing is more important than our efforts to unite the nation. But the problem is that everyone thinks that only they know how to unite and only under their leadership can unity be achieved. However, we see all these attempts fail one after another.

And this will continue until we change our approach in a way that we do not define exactly how it should be, but everyone should think that first of all unity should be in their heart. That is when it will be implemented. No matter in what form, I do not set any conditions: the main thing is to strive for connection. Getting close to each other is always a good thing.

The question is what to do if there are several groups, several parties, and opposite methods, and each one thinks that they are right and the other is wrong? There is only one solution. No one should have any other opinion but the desire to unite, as it is said “Love will cover all transgressions.”

All transgressions, all contradictions, do not need to be taken into account at all. All these differences remain between us, we are aware of them, we understand that we are far from each other and are opposite, everyone among us: socialists, communists, opportunists, capitalists, etc. No matter what party, there are several dozen of them in the small country of Israel, and they will grow endlessly if the separation continues.

We must understand that we cannot talk about our contradictions with each other because it is clear that everyone’s egoism manifests in its natural form, which is different from the others. In this respect, each person is unique, so should everyone organize their own personal party?

And if he digs deeper into himself, he will see that he is also torn by conflicting opinions and will have to divide himself into several battling parties. There is no other solution than to rise above all obstacles, all contradictions, and cover all crimes with love.

Transgressions help us build love because we must cover all the differences with it. This is why sins are revealed—to help us build love—this is how it comes from the thought of creation, the thought of the Creator.

If we treat each other in this way, there will be no disagreements, attacks, and quarrels between people and parties. We will build together, each will take into account their idea of their own righteousness and mistakes of others, but will cover it all with love. This will be the right structure.

And then each party and each person will build a form of love that is based on the opposite of their negative critical feelings of others. There will be hatred inside and love outside, until we see the whole world as corrected and ourselves in the best possible state.

Man is the creation and everything else: still, animate, and vegetative nature only appear for man to exist. This is how the Creator depicts reality within man’s desire to receive pleasure. And if we could control our desire to receive pleasure and change it, we would change reality.

We could depict a different reality for ourselves, a different world. Everything can be changed: both yourself and the world in which you live. We have been given the opportunity to do everything according to our choice; the Creator established the creation and passed it on to us.

Therefore, it is necessary to divide reality into two parts. One reality is one I perceive being egoistic as I am. We are born in egoism and cannot do anything about it; this is an animate perception of the world.

But it is possible to change this reality if we can control our desire. In the direction I turn my desire, in such a reality I will see myself existing and myself changed.

Everything is possible to change because of the desire to enjoy, and it is subject to change. A person who is able to control his desire in whole or in part is called a Kabbalist. He receives a desire from the Creator and then asks Him for the power to change this desire. Therefore, he can always change the world in which he lives, reality at all levels: from the very bottom of the spiritual ladder to its top.

By changing our desire to receive pleasure, we move from degree to degree, from state to state, from world to world, from one perception to another, each time becoming closer and closer to the true form, to the Creator, who is at the top of the ladder. That is why we bear the name man, Adam, the one who wants to change and become more and more like the Creator.

We must not agree with the perception of the world that we are receiving now, and we must constantly look for how to change and improve it. The Creator says: “I have created the evil inclination…” and we see the world in our corrupted desire, that is, not giving one hundred percent as the Creator does. And we want to change this desire to make it similar to the higher force, the desire for bestowal, and then we will see our state as more and more close to the Creator.

Every moment of my life must be perceived as a state sent by the Creator and revealed in my egoistic desire. And my task is to try to correct the desire given by the Creator in which I now feel reality: myself, friends, the world, the Creator, in order to see everything at a higher level, in the desire for bestowal, closer to the Creator.

Each time the Creator gives me a certain desire in which I feel reality; every moment is a new world, a new state. Therefore, every second I strive to cling more to the Creator, to become closer, more giving, to connect more with my friends and through them with the Creator to such an extent that we turn into one person and wish to cleave to the Creator.

The Creator appears before me when I include all the friends in my heart. And then I am ready to adhere to Him and achieve the goal set for me.

The beginning of the spiritual level is a state received from the Creator and the awareness that I feel it inside my egoism. I also understand that I must change this state by including the whole ten, which helps me to free myself from me and cleave to my friends. It is said about this that the Creator puts the hand of man on the good fate and says: “Take this for you.” So I join the group and together with it I strive to cleave to the Creator.

This means that I perceive any received state as good, useful for spiritual advancement, and I just need to establish the right attitude toward it.

Every day you need to establish a new form of work, new advancement, and then during the day to try and realize it so that every day is like a new one. The main thing is to recognize each state as given by the Creator to be changed. And change is possible only in my desire to enjoy.

Right now, the Creator forms my desire and gives me a feeling of fulfillment. And I need to change my desire, and then the feeling will change. I must feel joy that I received a sensation from the Creator, no matter what it is, even the worst. But with the help of the group, I can rise above it and begin to change my attitude toward what is happening.

Egoistic desire was given to me from above, and I want to replace it with the desire to bestow, called “My sons defeated Me.” That is, I gave you the will to receive, and you ask Me to give you a desire to bestow instead.
