Question: On one hand enjoyment is our life. What do we have beside it? On the other hand, this is described in Kabbalah in a very incomprehensible language. Even in our world we see how important it is for us to know, for example, the laws of physics. But how many people are interested in these laws?

Answer: We are only interested in what will benefit us, but the wisdom of Kabbalah, which studies the way to receive the upper light, is not in the sensations of our pleasures and therefore no one yearns for it.

Question: But we are talking about pleasures from reception, from connection with the Creator. What could be better?

Answer: It does not matter. Does anyone yearn for the Creator?

Comment: But 80% of humanity or even more are not atheists. Atheists are only 2% of the world.

My Response: It does not matter even if there were 100%. The fact is that we do not know, do not feel, and do not understand the connection with the Creator. We treat it based only on fear of death, disappearance, or misfortune. But in reality who needs the Creator in everyday life? We remember Him only when we feel bad.

If we saw that the Creator is the quality of love and bestowal, then we would rush to Him. But the Creator concealed Himself to make our path to Him easier. Otherwise, His pleasures would simply defeat us, obligate us to be His slaves. That is, we would interact with Him at the level of instincts like animals.

Question: Can we say the nations of the world, with their actions, are forcing Israel to take the path of correction?

Answer: Yes, the peoples of the world, by their negative attitude toward Israel, force them to understand the whole world depends on them.

Question: In Baal HaSulam’s article, “First Will Be the Correction of the World,” he says when certain elements of the whole of Israel are corrected, the whole world will automatically be corrected. What does it mean?

Answer: We are talking about the connection between all people in the world. If we, those who study Kabbalah, those who are connected with the Creator through study and connection with each other, wish to correct ourselves and ascend to the Creator, then in the measure of our correction, the whole world will come to unity and ascend to the Creator.

Question: What is collective Malchut?

Answer: The collective Malchut is where we are born and begin to develop. That is our common desire, our spiritual mother. The approximation to it starts with our connection.

Question: What is the difference between the collective Malchut and the feeling of our connection in the ten?

Answer: By feeling the collective Malchut, we begin to feel the whole creation, in what state it is and what it should be to get closer to the Creator.

Question: How do you act in the ten to direct yourself to the collective Malchut?

Answer: Get closer to your friends—nothing else. And as you get closer to them, you will receive from them more and more of different awakenings.

This is similar to one who wants to build a house. He goes to an engineer to make a work-plan for him. Then, who has to pay? Is it the engineer to the person who received the work-plan or does the person pay the engineer for giving him a work-plan by which he can build himself a house? Clearly, the person pays the engineer (Rabash, Article 29 (1989). “What Is the Preparation to Receive the Torah in the Work? -2”).

Question: According to this example, can we buy a Torah? What is the charge for it?

Answer: We have to pay for the Torah with our egoism. When we fully wish to part with it, it means that we want to buy the Torah instead.

Receiving the Torah is called giving because it cannot be acquired otherwise but through the action of bestowal. I ask the Creator to correct me, and I receive from Him a gift, light, the force to be above my egoism.

Michael Laitman on the Times of Israel: “Why Does Israel, a Small Nation, Get So Much News Focus?”
In today’s complex global landscape, there exists a stark contrast between those who support and oppose Israel. It is a tension that stretches across borders, reflecting a force compelling the people of Israel to establish their unity amid the discord.

Israel, one way or another, bothers the world at large. It stands vividly in the spotlight, revealing itself in all its potency like an open wound on the world’s collective body. It is a major disturbance that draws attention and demands a close examination of the more concealed dynamics at play.

Considering Israel’s tiny size compared to the global superpowers, the surface picture based on our immediate narrow, corporeal and materialistic worldview falls short of grasping this nation’s full impact. Despite its minuscule geographical footprint, the unity of the nation reverberates globally, perplexing anyone who tries to gauge its real impact. It is a puzzle that requires a shift in focus from the physical realm to the deeper connections that bind people and nations.

How, then, does such a small nation, almost inconspicuous on the world map, elicit such widespread attention and reaction? The answer is in understanding the intricate interplay between corporeal existence and spirituality. We, the people of Israel, stand at that very juncture. Whether or not we are aware of it, we actually hold the key to resolving the complexities surrounding us.

Despite our relative smallness in size and quantity, it becomes imperative for us, the people of Israel, to assert our significance on the world stage. Our existence indeed holds a great level of importance in the grand tapestry of global affairs. How? It is that when we unite as a single nation above our internal divisions, then we impact the world with an unprecedentedly harmonious and healthy influence. Doing so brings us into contact with the deeper positive forces dwelling in nature, and such a unifying influence within humanity’s subconscious awakens the ability in everyone to unite above the harmful, exploitative and divisive egoistic desires that lurk in human nature. By contrast, if we let our egoistic desires and our internal divisions get the better of us, then our own wound infects and inflames the rest of the world, leading to increasing animosity against us.

It is thus my hope that we evoke our unity “as one man with one heart” above our divisive drives, and realize our full potential to unite and spread unity worldwide.

“He is one” means the light of Ein Sof. “His name is one” means the desire to enjoy included there without any change whatsoever. Understand what our sages implied, that “His name” is desire in Gematria, meaning the “desire to enjoy” (Baal HaSulam. Study of the Ten Sefirot (TES). Vol. 1. Part 1. Inner Observation).

His name is the light that comes from the Creator and fills the creation. According to how a person feels what he receives, he calls it the name of the Creator. That is, the name is what the Creator wants the creation to feel within itself.

Every time the desire must bring itself to correspondence with His name. In this way, we get to know the Creator from different directions because He is manifested in different forms. The desire is also manifested in different ways so that we become acquainted from all sides with the one who carries this desire.

Question: This desire grows with yearning and longing in a person and causes the revelation of Reshimot. When we come to the ten, are the Reshimot revealed there as well?

Answer: Yes, it is something similar to that.

Question: What should I pay attention to during the connection?

Answer: Pay attention to what extent our hearts are impressed by our coming closer together.

Question: Is it possible to ask the Creator for a state of accelerating time (Achishena)? Or is this state a reward for our work?

Answer: In principle, we should try to constantly be in the same action as the Creator, to agree with His governance.

Our task is to become included in His governance and be in the same direction all the time, to act the way the Creator wants us to. Then we will enter the state of adhesion with the Creator.
