How Can You Focus Yourself on the Creator?
Comment: You often say that it is worth focusing not on the teacher, but on the Creator.
My Response: Of course; otherwise, you are idol worshiping.
Comment: But I do not know what the Creator is.
My Response: Yes, but the moment you start idolizing some person, kissing his hands, giving him gifts—that’s it! You are already focused on him. Subconsciously, you lock yourself onto him, depend on him, and believe he will secure your future, instead of you yourself.
It already deprives you of choice, freedom of will, and freedom of action. You rely on him, become small, and stop growing. Therefore, Kabbalah forbids this.
Question: But how can we focus on the Creator if we do not feel spirituality?
Answer: You must create Him precisely from disparate manifestations, accidents, and everything that arises in you, from all your friends, and unite all this into one single, maximally possible spiritual force.
Try to gather everything you feel into one force—there is none else besides Him, the good that does good.
Aim all your inner feelings, understanding, what is in your heart and mind, absolutely everything that you see, seem to see, think, only toward one single force—the good who does good; there is none else besides Him. Through His numerous manifestations, He gives you an enormous amount of different information, impressions, sensations, and thoughts so you can gather everything together into one whole.
And then you will reveal Him, for as you make efforts, your soul forms a single vessel within you, an instrument similar to the Creator.
