Question: From the point of view of Kabbalah God or nature are the same thing. The purpose of nature, as written in the sources, is unity of all opposites. Therefore, they say so much about the need to unite, love your neighbor, etc.

But what is the purpose or tendency of nature?

Answer: The purpose of nature is to bring man and all who represent the concept of man to equivalence of form to the Creator. Then it will be called Adam (Adomeh—similar to the Creator).

The Creator is the quality of bestowal and love. And man in his original state is the opposite of this quality. Therefore, his correction consists of distancing himself from his original egoistic quality—for his own sake—and inversely changing himself so as to do everything for the benefit of others. This is the tendency of nature.
