Answer: It does help. Since we exist within the same system and are tied through it to the source of our life, to the upper world, then the correct attitude toward food, toward the upper Light, toward all of humanity, toward our common Kli (vessel of the soul) brings us into sync with all the levels of this vast system.
Therefore, blessing means that I understand where I am, what I am doing, what action I am performing, what result I am hoping to achieve. A blessing before and after a meal, regardless of the words that I use or whom I address, allows me to correctly integrate myself into the general system, and thus to be able to get aligned with the right flow of the forces of nature. Later on you begin to feel it strongly.
Integration happens on different levels. In the end, we have to unite into one whole, into one desire, and reveal the upper Light inside it.
It turns out that one of the ways of uniting us with the inanimate, vegetative, and animal worlds is its use as food or for other purposes. Among other things, a blessing helps us integrate all the qualities of nature into ourselves, as if to raise it along with our spiritual work.
Question: Is consuming food an exchange of energy with nature?
Answer: Yes, it is an exchange of energy and information. Information plays a major role here. If you keep ingesting artificial products, it will not provide you with the same things as the regular food that comes from the ground: water, salt, vegetable, animal, or products of the earth.
Question: Why do we enjoy eating some protein and carbohydrates?
Answer: Such is our desire; it receives pleasure coming into contact with certain external objects. It can be food, family, sex, wealth, it doesn’t matter, just various kinds of pleasure. This is what happens when we include certain outside forces into ourselves.
Question: Can we say that this is the Light?
Answer: The Light is in everything. There is nothing else besides desire and Light. If we ask physicists, they would tell you that the meat you are eating consists of nothing. It is not meat but waves, energy.
