The ARI

Dr. Michael LaitmanFrom My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 7/16/18

He was 35 when he appeared in Safed, cloaked in glory and mystery. In the brief two and a half years until his sudden death, he changed the course of Kabbalistic history and brought about a tremendous transformation.

The holy Ari, Rabbi Yitzchak Luria Ashkenazi, a great Kabbalist of Safed, passed away today, the fifth of Av, 446 years ago. Today we pay our respects to him and remember his greatness.

#Trump accelerates time. The Fed and dressed world is collapsing. Living standards will be like in the 1960s. Middle class and liberals will disappear. People recognize “there’s no future.” The Soviet Union once aspired to be like the West. Not anymore. This is Kabbalah’s prediction.

In our world of action we build proper connections;
By removing actions, we receive the upper world.

Breaking Israel News: “Gaza Flare-Up: How To Turn Darkness to Light”

The largest portal Breaking Israel News published my recent article “Gaza Flare-Up: How To Turn Darkness to Light

“As long as we do not raise our goal above the corporeal life, we will have no corporeal revival.” (Rav Yehuda Ashlag, “Exile and Redemption”)

It was a dark Sabbath in southern Israel, with 200 rockets and mortar shells fired from the Gaza strip, 173 red alert sirens and 30 iron dome interceptions.

Any other country would respond immediately and aggressively, as written “if one comes to kill you, rise early and kill him first.” But not in this case. The state of Israel is between a rock and hard place. Flaming kites are coming from just dozens of kilometers south to Israel, while the international community and global media are sending flames of hostility towards the State of Israel.

Naturally, we don’t buy the truce. It is clearly pure fiction and only a matter of time until we begin another round of war. And from one round to the next, we are pushed closer to a critical point: Either we do whatever needed to end the terror against us and live with whatever sanctions it may bring; Or we find a way to fundamentally change the world’s view of Israel.

The only way to do that is to understand the root cause for the world’s attitude to Israel. We have to see the forces working within the network of humanity, and most importantly, our role in it.

According to The Book of Zohar, which describes the core structure of the whole of nature, all the world’s nations are interconnected and interdependent, through an intricate web of connections. And Israel is a central hub.

It’s not for nothing that the nations of the world treat Israel differently. Subconsciously, they feel that the nation of Israel is obligated to fulfill a central role in the body of humanity. “Israel among the nations is like a heart among the organs,” writes The Book of Zohar, “And as the body’s organs cannot exist without the heart for even a moment, so the nations cannot live in the world without Israel.”

Israel’s role within the body of humanity is to enable the unity of all peoples and nations, as parts of a single, integrated system. And they do so by creating unity among themselves, above all conflicts and differences, thus being “a light unto nations.”

But as long as Israel lags behind in spreading the force of unity, the conflicts around it rise to new heights. Hamas activists are taking positions in international and academic organizations, promoting the de-legitimization of Israel. From year to year, our enemies become more certain that the international community will justify their actions and condemn ours. Ultimately, things will escalate to the point where Israel is pushed to the sidelines of human society, becoming like a ghetto at the center of the world.

Rather than waiting for this critical point to come, we should open our eyes now and see where things are headed. The way to reverse the trend of hostility towards us is only to fulfill our role within the network of humanity.

It’s nice to see Israelis around the country downloading apps that notify them about red alert sirens to show solidarity, and it’s heartwarming when we open our homes to southern residents. However, unity in times of trouble only holds in times of trouble, just as unity against a common enemy can only last as long as the enemy does.

The nation of Israel must be unified from within, connected “as one man with one heart.” The force of unity that we generate today will be the example for the world of tomorrow. Even a small movement towards a true unity of hearts in Israeli society, which is divided to numerous tribes and factions, will awaken a healing force that comes from the depth of nature itself. And this will begin to mend the rifts in the network of humanity.

This is what the world expects from us, and until we do it, we will increasingly find ourselves between a rock and hard place. We live here in the land of Israel, but we will only truly earn our right to be here when we begin fulfilling our spiritual role.

We Can Grasp The Creator With 10 Pairs Of Hands

laitman_259.01A person cannot ask for himself. The correct request to the Creator, in which a person remains in similarity and in connection with Him, is a request for a friend. As a result of the shattering, all people deliberately appear to be strangers to us so that we can build the quality of bestowal. It is as if the Creator could be retained only if He is taken hold of by ten pairs of hands at the same time.

If I awaken ten friends, then together, in ten pairs of hands, we will be able to grasp the Creator, like a baby that clings to his mother and does not let go. According to the extent of our unity, we can connect with the Creator. This makes it clear how our work should be.

Of course, a person can pray and ask, thinking that he speaks with the Creator. But the real work, and not the one that is perceived in our egoism, can only be in the common Kli created with the help of twenty hands. Only in this way can we cling to the Creator and adhere to Him.1

To build Jerusalem means to build fear in oneself that if help does not come from above, I will never achieve bestowal through created beings to the Creator. This is called “Jerusalem”—a complete fear (Ira’a Shlema)2

The Count Down Has Begun

laitman_213Every day that the Temple is not restored, it is as if it were destroyed again. After all, since the time of the Ari onward, we already have a duty to correct the shattering. Therefore, since that moment, we can start counting down the many years of our delay regarding correction that have already passed. Also, every day in which no correction is made is added to the shattering. More and more egoistic desires are being revealed, which should already have been corrected, and we should have been connected above them. However, we are not yet doing this, and therefore, we are strengthening the burdening of the heart.1

“Between The Straits: Israel Complacent Amidst Earthquakes And Fire Kites”

The largest portal Breaking Israel News published my new article: “Israel Complacent Amidst Earthquakes and Fire Kites”

The LORD said to Moses, ‘I have seen this people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.’ Exodus 32:9 (The Israel Bible™)

Over a hundred days of fire in Southern Israeli areas surrounding the Gaza strip, and almost no one cares. Twenty fires break out each day, consuming thousands of square meters of agricultural areas, fields and crops, while most of the Israeli public remains unconcerned. Why do we remain complacent?

And as the southern land is aching, the northern land is shaking. More than a dozen earthquakes at various intensities took place around Tiberias over the last week or so, and the public remains indifferent. What kind of wake-up call do we need? What level on the Richter scale will shake our hearts? How far do the fire kites need to fly so as to awaken us from our coma?

Symbolically, the Hebrew calendar shows we are right “between the straits” – the three weeks of trouble and distress that struck the people of Israel leading up to the ruin of the Temple. And just as people in the kingdom of Judea were indifferent to their collective fate, the Israeli people of 2018 are mostly concerned with their narrow interests.

Yet things seem to be different in 2018. Israel holds the reputation of being one of the world’s strongest countries – both militarily, diplomatically, and economically. But our temporary success hinges on a worrisome reality: the hostile countries around us have yet to unite and join hands in an effort to destroy us.

Sure, we are a nation that doesn’t like listening to worrying reflections about ourselves. But we are also “a stiff-necked people.” We latch onto what we have got, oblivious to lessons we have already learnt from the tougher times of our history. We are indifferent to our indifference.

The boys trapped in a cave in Thailand worry us far more than putting out the fires a few meters away from us, and this indicates that something in the Israeli nationhood is completely out of whack. We can’t see the main reason for concern, right under our noses.

“The poor of your city come first,” says the Torah. Our main concern should be those close to us, from north to south. And our elected officials should start fixing the country, instead of putting all their efforts in trying to “fix” each other.

Rather than waiting for the next trouble to come down from the skies or from under the ground, we must begin to recognize our collective fate by seeing all these blows as clarions. Every blow tells us to further tighten our bonds, raise our concern for each other, and begin to live by the crux of our nationhood, being “as one man in one heart.”

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, rebuilding the Temple is not about laying bricks and erecting walls. It’s about building a solid connection between our hearts. That is what we need to build both for ourselves and the world. We have to demonstrate a new level of mutual care and human bonding that will ultimately spread “light unto the nations,” but it has to start right here, between us.

The Future World

laitman_293.1Question: What is the “future” or the “next world” in Kabbalah?

Answer: The future world is the one I will attain through studying Kabbalah. It is the next world because it is on the next level of perception.

However, it is a real world. I just need to change my qualities a little, from reception to bestowal, and I will see an inverted world.

New Life #55 – Connecting Solves Everything

New Life #55 – Connecting Solves Everything
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Human connection can change the course of history from one of war and crisis to one of economic prosperity and mutual security. Connecting through mutual guarantee is faster and saves us from the anxiety and sacrifices of war. Everyone attacks the force that works against the connection rather than each other. Connecting in integral relations with each other attracts a special power that we have not yet seen or felt. The method of connection will be realized in every aspect of life from the family unit, to the municipality, and then to the entire world. Love and care will win over every enemy and hatred will be no more.
