Work in Relation to the Friends

530Question: I enter into the desires of the people with whom I try to unite, and I feel that I envy their Kelim. How should I work in this situation: Should I simply connect everything to the Creator? Is that the correction or is there some other way to work with envy?

Answer: The work is only in relation to your circle, your friends with whom you are going through this entire path. If you annul yourself more and more in relation to them, then you advance forward and receive more from the Creator.

Become a Permanent Ten

234Question: How can we continue to support our friend if we do not know whether she listens to the lessons? What should be the frequency so that we understand that this is the circle in which we are going along the path?

Answer: There can be no set frequency. Once a week, once a month, I do not understand this!

If you are able to, you must definitely be present at the lesson. I think that first of all, you need to think about making the group in which you are constantly present into your permanent ten.

This means that you hold on to each other, try to always be in ascent, in the form of all the ten members, and follow exactly what we are studying.

Dissolve in the Ten

938.02Question: Lately, there has been a feeling that we should already be approaching the quality of bestowal since everyone in the ten has this desire. On the other hand, it is noticeable that most of the friends have calmed down and are paying more attention to corporeal needs. It turns out that the quality of bestowal seems to be there, but there is nowhere to apply it. What should we do?

Answer: You must integrate into your ten in such a way that there are no distances between you, so that what one has, flows to another, to a third one, and so on. Then your ten will be unified, and you will be able to feel the spiritual structure. This is what you need to achieve.

You must dissolve in the ten and together with it—together with it—move forward. If all of you feel yourselves as one, then you will succeed.

The Request Comes from Everyone

282.01Question: Can we take the prayer of the Kabbalists as an example and work through it with you about how it is born from nothing, grows, and eventually becomes filled?

Answer: You should try to compose this prayer yourselves, each one individually, and then begin to unite them together so that, in the end, you have a prayer of many.

Then it will become clearer to you how to unite with one another in order to address the Creator. The Creator does not require much—the main thing is that it is of the highest possible quality. And you have that.

Question: Usually not everyone takes part in composing the prayer in the ten; it is the same friends, say three people. How important is it that each person invests in it? Or is it enough that these three express the request on behalf of the whole ten?

Answer: It does not matter. The request still comes from everyone.

How Can We Unite the Prayers of All the Tens?

947Question: Our daily challenge is to build a prayer in the ten. How can we correctly clarify the prayer together? And another challenge is uniting it with the prayers of all the tens.

Answer: This is indeed a challenge. But the thing is, we must try to feel each other more, to sense how much we are unable to unite.

Only in the unity of hearts will we immediately feel the Creator between us. The force that will unite us is the Creator.

Ask for Connection

938.03Hence, if we want to work only for the sake of the Creator and not for our own sake, it is hard work, since we must fight against the Kli that the Creator created.

From this work come all the lacks we learn about, such as the departure of the lights, the breaking of the vessels, Kedusha, Tuma’a, Sitra Achra [other side], and Klipot (Rabash, Article 26, “What Is “He Who Defiles Himself Is Defiled from Above” in the Work?”).

Question: It is said that work not for one’s own benefit is hard work because we must fight against the Kli created by the Creator.

What kind of work should we do so that the shattering happens not externally, especially now, during the period of “between the straits,” but rather between us in our inner work?

Answer: We simply need to persist in this and not be afraid to ask again and again from within our Kelim for connection, for adhesion, and so on. That is what we are already doing, only we need to be more active.

At the Center of the Desire for the Creator

527Question: There is a saying: “One who prays for one’s friend is answered first.”

If a person who prays for a friend sees that the friend receives but he himself does not, does that indicate some kind of flaw, or is it normal?

Answer: If a person sees that the friend is investing a lot of energy, participating in all the actions the group is doing, then he understands that this is the friend’s work. And the opposite is also true.

We must feel where we truly need to be.

Each of us and all of us together must be at the center of the desire for the Creator, when all our desires gather together, unite, and are directed toward Him. That is the most important thing.

Enter the Spiritual Worlds

528.01Question: If during our daily activities we do not feel, think, or believe that sparks of holiness are rising somewhere, does this mean that we are not raising them? Or are we raising them, but it is hidden from us?

Answer: This is hidden from you. Any action that you perform in connection with the group is spiritual. You still, with your actions, evoke in the upper Partzuf a desire to connect you to it and conduct the upper light through you, through it, and further to Malchut of the world of Assiya.

Question: For example, after class, we compose a prayer, then during the day, we gather for calls and so on. Is it useful to add thoughts about how we raise sparks to Atzilut to these actions, and to think and talk about it? Does this increase sensitivity to sparks of holiness?

Answer: Yes, it increases sensitivity. But on the other hand, it brings additional properties with it that you have not yet mastered; that is, you are not yet at these levels.

So little by little, one more lesson, two more lessons, we will still gradually enter into this together. Let’s say that today it is considered that our lesson is at the level of Malchut of the worlds of BYA. And tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, we may already be one level higher and go further.

A Simple Choice

938.04Question: How can we sort our desires and intentions to be directed toward the Malchut of the world of Atzilut in all the states that come from the Creator? How do we make the choice, and what kind of choice is it?

Answer: The choice is very simple: the whole ten should unite.

When you connect with each other based on your common desire, common intention, common goal—everything you have—as one man with one heart,” then you begin to ask for it.

Questions about Spiritual Work—244

281.02Question: How can we prepare for the revelation of the shattering?

Answer: To the extent that we are connected with one another, we can delve into the study of the shattering between us and into its sensation. In this way, we can shorten our path to correction, meaning we can draw the shattering closer to us in order to correct it.

Question: The more we exert ourselves in the work, the more the world reveals its evil. How can we justify the Creator, that the world was originally corrected?

Answer: We still have to reveal that the world is initially corrected. Only then will we be able to reach the correct prayer—for closeness between us and with the Creator.

Question: In the ten, we feel unity among us, but between all the tens there is no sensation of merging into one Kli. How should we work with this shattering?

Answer: We need to work on this. To work means to connect despite the egoism that exists within each ten.
