Preparation Is in the Intention

528.01Question: Can we say that our action of bestowal consists of active connection; for example, during a lesson, preparing for a lesson, studying and working in the ten are the desire, the passive vessel for work in active connection, and the work is the request for correction of the vessel, its fulfillment, and transmitting the light to the entire world?

Answer: Yes, this should be our intention. Therefore, before we open the computer and connect with our friends, we need to think about why we are doing this: to be connected together in one single vessel, to direct it to the Creator, and to reveal the Creator within it.

If we direct ourselves toward connection with friends, toward reading articles, and each time overcome various obstacles with an effort, we naturally receive much greater benefit from this.

The First Point of Contact with the Creator

938.02Question: What is the first point of contact with the Creator in the ten?

Answer: The first point of contact with the Creator occurs when the Keter of the lower connects with the Malchut of the upper.

The Keter of the lower, that is, the Keter of the ten, is the force of your bestowal. It rises and reaches the Malchut of the upper.

Question: Let’s say that we have gathered with the friends and formed the force of bestowal, Keter between us. How can we now connect with the Malchut of the upper?

Answer: With each other you form your common Keter, and all that remains for you is to connect to the Malchut of the upper. To do this, you must connect all your desires for bestowal, i.e., all your Keters, and raise them to what the upper one desires from you.

Question: How can we feel the Creator in our feelings in order to connect our Keters with Him?

Answer: By forming a connection between yourselves, you will be able to feel what the Malchut of the upper one is, rise to it, group together, and grasp it. This is what we need to do.

How Can We Speed Up Spiritual Growth?

942Question: The Creator corrects our souls slowly and in portions. Is it possible to speed up the stages of spiritual growth, and what does it depend on?

Answer: It depends on your connection in the ten. If you turn to the Creator on your own, this is one thing. But if several friends ask together with you, and even better the whole ten, the Creator answers immediately and as directly as possible.

In spirituality, we can only strive for ever greater connection. In this way, we protect ourselves from losing important elements of our path along the way.

The Value of Each Friend

938.03Question: How do we determine what we need to stay on the spiritual path, what we should discard and what else to develop?

Answer: We must constantly develop and increase the connection between us and the Creator.

To increase the connection in the ten means to need each other more and more. I look at my friends and see that I cannot do something without a particular friend or something else without another one. This one sets an example for me, this one annoys me, but all of this pushes me to work on myself. That is, every person in the ten is necessary; that is what the Creator does.

Question: If I have a negative impression of a friend, is it still very valuable? Is this some kind of important signal from the Creator?

Answer: Sure. Least of all I expect positive feelings from them, on the contrary, negative feelings are more suitable for my work on myself.

Don’t Lose What Is Given from Above

947Question: The sages say that a fool loses what is given to him. How can we not lose what is given from above in spirituality?

Answer: If you hold on to this together and not separately, then you will be able to hold on to everything that the Creator sends to you. He will give you important things as He sees you striving to lay hold of spiritual things together.

Question: How can we not be afraid of falling and how can we enlist the support of the Creator?

Answer: Be together in one ten and hold on to each other. Then you will not have these problems. You should feel like you are with your friends.

How Can You Understand the Answer of the Creator?

936Question: When we correctly raise MAN, the response from the Creator comes to us in the form of MAD. Is it possible to understand whether our MAN was accepted or not?

Answer: Of course, this can be understood through the attitude of the Creator toward me: I am for the Creator and the Creator is for me.

Question: We act in the center of the connection of the ten. How can we discern the attitude of the Creator toward us through our prayer?

Answer: Treat Him as correctly as possible, and after that begin to read His response in the relationships between you.

Question: What changes? Is it some level of unity between us?

Answer: Everything changes. Absolutely everything.

How Can You Love Your Neighbor?

530Question: It is easy for us to love people who are close to us in their qualities. But how can we make ourselves love people who are not like us?

Answer: I do not think you should do this. You should strive for what is revealed in the ten and try to establish friendly relations in it.

Question: What is hatred of others?

Answer: Hatred of others is dislike, a desire to move away from them, to distance oneself.

Question: How can we love our neighbor as ourselves? Do we need to see ourselves in him and love him?

Answer: You can imagine it this way, or you can imagine that your neighbor, whom you want to love, is connected with the Creator, and through him you will love the Creator.

Maaser: A Tenth and No More

504Question: Does paying Maaser (tithing) help in advancing toward holiness?

Answer: Paying Maaser is necessary; otherwise, you will not have entry into the spiritual realm. My teacher Rabash did not allow those who were late in paying Maaser to attend classes.

Maaser is a very serious thing: a tenth of our income. It is this that helps us climb up the spiritual ladder. So take this into account.

Question: If I start paying Maaser now, do I have to pay Maaser for the years that I was in Bnei Baruch and did not pay?

Answer: You will have to do this. Maaser is the most important thing in our connection because this money represents a spiritual tithe. Very often people ask me if it is possible to pay more. No, you must pay exactly ten percent, as it says in the Torah: a tenth and no more.

Question: Do I need to know if my friends in the ten are paying Maaser, or should I be sure by faith above reason that they are?

Answer: Everyone in the ten should know this because you are advancing both personally and in the ten. Therefore, your advancement depends on the general payment of Maaser.

How Can You Devote Yourself to the Spiritual Path?

281.02Question: Over the course of studying in the group of ten, we have developed trust in our friends and a sense of responsibility for our actions. But we are afraid that what we are doing is insufficient. How can we devote ourselves to the spiritual path without overthinking?

Answer: To some extent, the number of years you have been studying, the amount of effort invested, and your searches matter. But I do not think it is that critical.

The most important thing is how connected you are with each other. When those who know more and those who know less, those with greater desires and those with lesser desires, all come together, they create one common vessel (Kli). In this common vessel shared desires, shared aspirations, and shared questions lead to the progress of everyone.

Gradually, you will all find balance. Those who have been studying for five years and those for five months will reach a state where they think alike and immerse themselves equally in the material.

How Can We Be Worthy of the Creator’s Love?

527Question: How can we love people correctly in order to be worthy of the love of the Creator?

Answer: You must constantly convince yourself that to the extent that you are like the Creator in His attitude toward people, to that extent you will be close to Him. This is called the law of similarity of properties.

First, we are talking about love for the ten. To do this everyone in their ten must try to behave as they imagine the Creator behaves and demands the same from him or her. Gradually, a person will develop a feeling of the friends in his aspirations toward them, and the properties of the Creator, His love, and His qualities will be revealed in him.

Question: By loving our friends, we feel the love of the Creator. Is it the same love?

Answer: This is not the same love, not the same feelings, but gradually one will be combined with the other.
