Answer: It is very simple. Just as we work with one another, so it is with the Creator. It is even easier with the Creator. We turn to Him with a desire to find out what exactly He wants from us, and then we try to fulfill His desire.

Question: How do I know that it is His desire?

Answer: If we ask the Creator a question, then it is in this very channel that we feel His answer.

Ask and you will feel that the Creator is answering you. His answer will sort of resonate within you. But it is better if the request is built through the ten.

Question: To rise to the next degree, we have to imagine it. It is illuminated to us by the Creator, but we do not know what it is. How to imagine it?

Answer: You don’t have to suffer and imagine a new degree. You just have to find out what the Creator wants at this moment and fulfill it. And so it is each time, at every degree.

Answer: Kabbalists often spoke with each other, but only about ascending to the next degree.

Question: Should the prayer that comes from your heart align with the one we express in the ten?

Answer: Yes, a person cannot have multiple prayers.

Question: Let’s say I genuinely want to pray for my friends, for the world, for the sages, and that is my true pain, which I can awaken when I am alone. I can’t immediately articulate it in dialogue within the ten. Should I first try to tune into the prayer rather than just write something down, which might end up as a collection of words?

Answer: Yes, we must reach a state where there is a clear, unified yearning among the friends in the ten for moving forward, for the Creator, for a connection between them that evokes a response from above.

Question: How did Kabbalists prepare themselves for prayer? For us, it seems like we read texts and then quickly transition to prayer as if it is something evident. But preparation is the most important part.

Question: In the ten we build the force of the Creator, the force of love. What does it mean to be merciful in the relations between us? What is mercy?

Answer: Mercy lies in the fact that we wish to see our friends only in good connections between them and close to the Creator.

Question: How do we feel whether we are in the intention for the sake of giving? If a person merits such an intention and feels he is working for bestowal, does this not exclude the state of “Lishma?”

After all, in the intention for the sake of bestowal, he acts without thinking about it, without any calculations.

Question: Should we pray when there is a reason from the Creator, or should we ourselves look for reasons and initiate prayer in the ten?

Answer: The reason for prayer is your desire to unite.

If you want to get closer and see that there are still great disagreements between you, you involuntarily turn to the Creator so that He will unite you more. The best prayer is when you ask the Creator for unification.

In this case, you really feel how much you lack this and how much strength you receive to realize the unification.

Such contact with the Creator is the most direct and the most reliable because He does not expect anything more from you. Question: It is said that a person has both a good inclination and an evil one, and he must test whether his body agrees to fulfill a certain commandment. On the spiritual path, the body (our evil inclination) always disagrees with the good inclination. What does it mean to gain its agreement?

Answer: You must make some effort as if you genuinely wish to fulfill the commandment, and feel how much it contradicts the nature of creation. Then step back from this and find the strength to ask the Creator to help you perform the same action.

Question: And if I performed the action and made a mistake?

Answer: Then you made a mistake. This means you can ask the Creator to explain to you that you were wrong, that you performed a bad action, perhaps even a terrible, awful one, against the Creator, but now you’ve realized this and deeply regret it. In such a case, the action is erased, as if it never happened.

Question: In the work of the ten it often happens that some friends agree to take a certain action toward unity while others believe it is incorrect. How can we be guided by the fact that it’s better to act and see if the action was right or not?

Answer: You must carry out everything you believe is necessary in practice. Even if the action was wrong, unproductive, or against the Creator’s will, you will still learn a great deal from it. Therefore, under no circumstances should you hold yourself back; do everything you can.

Question: Suppose a person faces a choice. The first option is that they absolutely cannot work without receiving a reward; the second option is that their true work can only be done without any reward.

Question: When we start working in the ten, we encounter blows. How should we work with this?

Answer: Even one person moving forward receives a pushback that throws him backward and all the more so if we are engaged in drawing closer in the ten. It is like a shot from a gun when the bullet flies forward and the gun recoils. This is how it always should be according to the law of conservation of energy.

We exist in the physical world. It does not matter that we call this world spiritual; there are still clear laws of action and reaction in it. Therefore, any spiritual advancement will also cause rejection.

We must take this into account, and even if we feel some kind of rejection, we must still recognize it as a physical law. For this reason, we need to treat them as laws we study about the surrounding world.

The science of Kabbalah teaches us how we can understand the extent of our progress from the negative reactions we experience. This is an absolutely clear process that lies before the person, and it should be clear to him how to deal with it.

We study that the most important formula that we need to implement is called “love will cover all crimes.” The more love develops, the more hatred manifests, and we must cover one with the other. And this is always the case; in family life and in relationships between people, we must always understand that such law is in effect.

If people knew this, they could create the correct society, the correct family, the correct relationships. They would never quarrel, they would not fight; they would realize that everything is accompanied by plus and minus, minus and plus.
