Attract the Attention of the Creator

239Question: We fulfill what the Creator sends us. How can we do it correctly?

Answer: Ask Him. Ultimately, you have the opportunity to talk to Him, turn to Him, ask Him and not turn away, but insist that He explain everything to you.

But even if you do not ask, but just do, He will correct you. From this, you will learn how to respond correctly to His actions next time.

You need to work more among you; digest, and grind everything that you feel from the Creator.

If you cannot figure out your desires and intentions, ask Him about it. And it will turn out that on one hand you will come closer to Him, and on the other hand you will attract His attention.

Order in the Spiritual Work

562.01Question: You recently said that spiritual work requires order. What order are we talking about?

Answer: This refers to the order of our work to draw closer to the Creator when we are constantly looking for more and more prayers, requests, desires, and intentions.

Thus, we wish to get closer to the Creator with the help of all the means available to us.

Question: When we make extra efforts in our work, we accept the light and associate it with the merits of our forefathers, is there a need to bring spiritual intention into everyday physical actions thereby translating them into spiritual actions?

Answer: Certainly. All we talk about all the time is that we need to focus on actions that we can connect and direct to the Creator.

Hoshana Rabbah—A Plea for Salvation

935Hoshanah is like a plea for salvation. A person asks the Creator to save him, and to achieve this state a person must go through many stages. When a person comes to study the science of Kabbalah, he does not know exactly what he is looking for at first.

Gradually, as a result of his studies, he receives new values in life and then begins to understand what is worth asking for, whom to ask, and what he wants to be saved from. He has to undergo very difficult internal scrutiny to stop asking for solutions to his life problems or salvation from minor or more severe obstacles.

A person does not understand whom to turn to, what other upper force, the Creator, or other nature? He knows only his material life, this world. Others, on the contrary, imagine the Creator is punishing them for misdeeds and ask for leniency. Time passes until a person understands whom and what to ask for after he despairs from understanding life, destiny, or revealing heaven with his own forces.

He feels a black cloud suddenly descending on him, and then, on the contrary, everything clears up and becomes transparent, understandable, pleasant, and easy. Then again, an incredible heaviness falls on him, a dullness in his mind and heart.

This is how we go through many states until we decide that we are entirely controlled from above because we are creatures under the control of the upper governance. A general upper force governs everyone individually and everyone together, doing whatever it wants with us. A person despairs regarding changing anything and loses all hope to influence the upper force.

It will take a long time before one finally believes the Kabbalists that we can change our fate. However, it is impossible to turn to the upper force alone because it hears only a complete request, that is, a group prayer, from ten people together.

Perhaps we gather ten people, but everyone asks for something different. How can we know the hidden aspirations of someone else’s heart that even the person himself may not be aware of?

We need one desire for all ten people, one common heart, and then the Creator will gradually perform the act of correction so we understand what we want and what is worth wanting, and move toward the state of “I am for my Beloved, and my Beloved is for me.”

In fact, this is the whole work, which is why we have fallen into the state called “this world,” into complete concealment, an imaginary reality as Kabbalists explain.

We imagine ourselves in some kind of world, on the globe, divided into different nations, in a vast universe. It is all an illusion. In reality, there is only the upper world. But where is it? After all, we do not feel it.

We do not have such organs of perception to sense that the material is illusory while the spiritual exists. We still need to come to this point to see that our current “reality” is only a screen hiding the truth and to reveal this actual world in our new senses. It all depends on our correction.

Instead of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste, we will acquire new organs of perception: Keter, Hochma, Bina, Zeir Anpin, and Malchut. By rising above our desire to enjoy, in giving above receiving, in faith above reason, we will reveal the true reality.

We will feel ourselves existing in two worlds at once: in this world, in an imaginary reality, and also in the true reality, in the spiritual world. One world is depicted in the desires to enjoy, and the other in the desires to bestow.

The path is open before us. There is no doubt we are advancing, and the Creator, all the forces of nature are leading and accompanying us, organizing, gathering together, protecting, and screening.

We need to accelerate their impact on us because Israel, that is, people who seek to reveal the Creator, have the power to speed up time. If we work as a transitional channel between the Creator and all mankind, we will merit the Creator’s care and accelerate our development.

The night of Hoshana Rabbah is a common big, complete request, with all the forces and all the necessary corrections. The light that returns to the source penetrates through the covering of the Sukkah and corrects the desire to enjoy below the screen.

Thus we will become worthy of being one union. The main thing is not to forget that the ultimate goal is to correct the whole world and bring it to the Creator so He can rejoice in His creations. Let us strive and succeed.

One Condition for All

944Question: It is said that prayer is the main Kli (vessel) for the presence of the Shechina. How can we find out our common Hisaron (deficiency) so that our prayer, our common Hisaron really becomes a Kli for the presence of the Shechina?

Answer: We want to find a common desire, aspiration, and intention in which we would all fit and want nothing else.

Question: What should be the purity of the request so that everyone has literally one thought?

Answer: The vision of our state in the final goal. We can see and feel this based on the fact that together we awaken the desire for the Creator, and He shapes us accordingly.

Question: How would you describe this state in the final goal that we should equally imagine?

Answer: I would imagine it as one desire, one state for everyone.

Come to a Single Prayer

938.04Question: Who reveals Hisaron (deficiency) to a friend: one’s evil inclination or the Creator?

Answer: The Creator.

Question: Can a person raise his own Hisaron to the Creator or do his friends have to?

Answer: He does it with them together.

Question: We often raise our friend’s Hisaron to the Creator so He would connect us on a new level. But there is a fear that a person’s condition could change, and he would be filled in his egoistic Kelim; for example, he will be cured, find a job, etc. How do we work with that?

Answer: We do not consider the side effects because the most important thing for us is to feel united in a single intention in which the Creator would be revealed.

Question: How can we wish to come to a single prayer? Is it very hard?

Answer: It is not very hard. You must start from afar and gradually narrow the field of view so the Creator is in its center.

Question: So we don’t have to wait for some abstract Hisaron, but should work with one the Creator reveals to us now?

Answer: Of course. At any given moment, you can manifest it.

We Don’t See How Close We Are to Salvation

936On the last day of the Sukkot holiday, we must combine all our requests into one big cry for salvation—Hoshana Rabbah. If we talked about it all the days of the holiday, studied, and wanted to feel what was happening to us, then, of course, at the end of the holiday we can collect all these occurrences and come to great salvation.

We want all the requests we raised during the holiday to come together and make us feel an immense need for great salvation.

We ask the Creator for salvation, that is for conditions under which the light can be revealed through us. We have been preparing for this all the days of Sukkot; otherwise, we would have neither the right desire nor the right shade. The cry comes through as a reward for the effort.

The Creator conceals how close we are to salvation with this shade if we turn to Him with this exalted and powerful request: “Creator, save us!”

Just as the Creator creates a shade for His light and gradually raises us stage by stage, we need to accept this shade and try to see it as a means to rise above reason, above the shade, to come to the light of faith. When we come to such a need, it is already the beginning of salvation.

The state when a person comes to the desire to live in the light of faith is called the night of Hoshana Rabbah. During all the days of the holiday, he revealed an ever-stronger inner desire for salvation, because every day, more and more light of correction was revealed to him. And he rejoices that he has reached a realization and a feeling that only the Creator can and is ready to save him.

The light of faith is revealed in the Kli that a person prepares by his refusal to receive the light directly and by his desire to remain in the shade. We need to achieve such a connection with the Creator when He shines on us, but we do not want to receive this light directly and push it away, wishing to resemble the action of the light in relation to the Creator.

Thus, our correct attitude toward the Creator is also called light. This is how we begin to feel the light completing all our work. The Creator gives us an example of how we can give to Him in the same way He gives to us.

Why Don’t We Understand the Creator’s Answers?

294.3 Alexander writes:

Today is a very foggy time. Everything that we once thought was understandable is incomprehensible. It is unclear if it is a man or a woman, if it is real news or if everything is rigged. It is unclear whether this is the leader of the country or his double. It is unclear whether this is being said by a human or an artificial intelligence, whether it is true or false. Everything is mixed up.

What is all this for? Why are we being driven to complete disbelief in what I see and hear?

Answer: This is really a serious matter. It is so that we would need in the Creator.

Question: Is it His doing to confuse everything for us?

Answer: These are His actions so that we would feel ourselves in a state of confusion so we would have no possible reasonable, correct action left except to grab hold of Him and cling to Him like a child.

Question: So we must be brought to such a state that we will turn to Him?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is there any other way we can turn to the Creator? There are prayers, prayer books, religions. Aren’t these appeals to the Creator?

Answer: No, they don’t save you.

Question: Alexander asks another question: “Who should I believe today?” Is there anyone on this earthly plane who can be trusted?

Answer: Of course not.

Question: Is it possible to live without believing in anything, in anyone?

Answer: That is how we get used to it.

Question: So you think that the whole of humanity will be brought to such a state?

Answer: Yes.

Question: If such a request, a prayer to the Creator, were really raised, what would happen? Would He answer?

Answer: The Creator answers anyway, but we do not understand His answers. He tells us that if we go the right way, that is, give up our selfish goals, then we will raise ourselves to the next level of development.

We will be completely different there. First of all, we will not be immersed in ourselves, in egoists. We will strive to make it so that it is the same for everyone. And the most important thing for us will be to act in a way that we feel the need to hold on to each other together.

This is what the Creator wants to lead us to.

Question: Are you talking about the whole of humanity now?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is the relationship between people, between countries, between everything like this?

Answer: Yes., this is our next step.

Question: Why don’t we want to move toward it? It sounds very attractive, with all our reality.

Answer: Should I think about others? I cannot and I do not want to. This is what every person feels.

Question: And will the Creator give us this opportunity if we can turn to Him?

Answer: Yes.

Question: But should I want this particular next step?

Answer: I have to come to it, to the fact that I must want it.

Comment: It seems that one can want it coming from something very bad.

My Response: So we are gradually getting down to it.

Question: That is, we will be brought to something very bad so that we ask: “Give us the opportunity to be together”?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Alexander also has this question: “Is it necessary to break through to the truth? And how to get to it if necessary?” He says, “Everything around us is untrue, everything is a lie.”

Answer: And we do not know what the truth is.

Question: That is what he is asking: “What is the truth?”

Answer: We do not know that. So what are we going to fight our way to? Just because we do not like our current state does not mean we know how to get out of it. And it turns out to be what it turns out to be.

Question: He is asking you: “What do you personally call the truth?”

Answer: The truth is that in my eyes all people are exactly the same.

Question: Do you mean equality, equals?

Answer: Yes.

Question: So, all people are equal?

Answer: All people. If I want to see it that way and go for it, then it is considered that it is true.

Question: Am I the same as them?

Answer: Absolutely! That is when we will find out what kind of truth it is, what kind of taste it has.

935Question: It is said that if a person does not believe that there is something divine present within the concealment, then he flees from the battlefield. We seem to understand this, but why is it so difficult to believe in practice that there is something divine present within the concealment?

Answer: I don’t think it’s difficult. And who creates this concealment? It is a special action of the Creator, and another special action is His revelation. Both are done by Him.

We need nothing but the right prayer, the right request to the Creator to remove this concealment. And when you feel that everything is revealed before you, you will simply be amazed at what you can see, feel, and be filled with. It will lift you up as if you have become a balloon.
