New Life #132 – Mass Media, Part 2

New Life #132 – Mass Media, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

The mass media could transmit a soccer game on TV according to the integral approach and teach all the viewers about the value of unity and connection. The killing of soccer fans in stadiums indicates that we have reached the edge of human development based on egoistic competition. Marx realized that our capitalistic society based on egoistic consumerism would ultimately lead us to dissatisfaction and despair. He predicted that humanity would turn toward cooperation and full connection between everyone. The American god is collapsing as human desire changes and we increasingly ask ourselves questions regarding the meaning of life. Where is our happiness beyond a proper standard of living? When the inclination is toward connection, there can be no hatred between the fans at all. The players will educate the viewers by modelling how to nullify the self and serve the group. The role of the coach will be to educate the team members to be as one, integral unit. The commentators in the studio could speak about mutual understanding, connection, coordination, and interpersonal harmony. Nature is pushing us to find unlimited happiness and satisfaction in the connections between us, and the mass media has an important role to play in our evolution.

New Life #131 – Mass Media, Part 1

New Life #131 – Mass Media, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

The media is engaged in a destructive, ideological war and chooses what to present to us. The mass media shapes public opinion according to the interests of the tycoons at the head of the pyramid. The more egoistic the society is, the more the media follows suit. Our consumeristic society worships individualism and the media develops in order to help us recognize the evil in our world and correct it.

The media stems from a lack of communication since there is no harmony between people like there is between organs of the body. If the media realize their educational purpose and function properly, they have the potential to help humanity advance toward full communication. Only a new type of media can save us from the troubles and crises we are facing since they can reach everyone. Nature is leading humanity toward integration and connection and we need people who understand this trend in human evolution to be at the head of the media and lead the public.

New Life #130 – Heart To Heart Communication

New Life #130 – Heart to Heart Communication
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

We are evolving toward one spiritual, internal language of the heart. Like Hebrew, this language is built on a good connection between people and it unites our desires. Speech and language have developed in order to serve the human ego. Our egoistic nature does not let us connect to each other unless our own interests are served. We decode everything subjectively and cannot perceive anything objectively. We do not even see our own children as they truly are.

The further away we draw from each other, the richer language we need. Conversely, the more the means of communication has developed, the more distant we become from each other and the more we cheat and confuse one another. In order to understand another, I have to feel his or her heart like my own and build his or her schema inside of me. We must reveal the human point within each of us, connect all of these points and together learn to communicate heart to heart above the rejection and hatred.

New Life #129 – Language And Spirituality

New Life #129 – Language and Spirituality
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Today’s economic crisis is a crisis in communication. In the inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels of nature, everything develops through complementary communication. Only humans advance against nature by harming and exploiting without taking others into account. We study communication in science, wisdom, philosophy, and religion, trying to understand reality. We attempt to understand the language of nature through music, poetry, dance, and masks as well as through ecology, storms, international trade, economics, law, and war. Nevertheless, human language evolves according to the needs of people and has become narrow and egoistic since man has lost communication with nature and understands what is happening to him less and less. Egoism disrupts everything by cutting connections with family, work, and country. The languages were created in order to bridge the distance between people and complete the internal connection that was severed. We must learn to communicate properly if we are to get out of modern Babylon. In repairing the communication between us, we will enter into a dialogue with the generality of nature and ascend to the peak of human development.

New Life #128 – Communication And The Sensory System

New Life #128 – Communication and the Sensory System
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Today there is a transition from linear communication to whole, round, integral, and global communication. We are in a new evolutionary phase: the transition from subjective, animate, or individual desire and perception, based on our five senses, to mutual and integral desire and perception. The economic mode of communication that has driven the process of human development so far is collapsing. A person dies without a connection to the natural environment. People feel empty and lonely and turn to drug abuse as a result of the despair they experience within this system. We are in the process of developing a new perceptual sense and a common system. The communication between us is being upgraded, expanded, and perfected, not by force and control, but by developing a satisfying, emotional feeling that the whole world is connected and is mine. Communication is the basis for the feeling of our existence. A new culture will develop out of the feeling that we are one.

New Life #127 – The Essence Of Communication, Part 2

New Life #127 – The Essence of Communication, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

All of our problems stem from the wrong type of communication between us as couples, in families, at work, and in the world at large. Communicating with others in mutual bestowal reveals enormous energy and a whole new world in the resulting connection between us. Each of us has to implement all of our skills in order to satisfy the deficiencies of others so that we reach absolute and correct communication and fulfillment both individually and collectively. The more distant we are and still manage to fully communicate, the greater the pleasure we feel. In fact, oppositeness is the precondition for communication and there is no opportunity for communication between similar parties. Just as a mother treats her baby, we need to have a new intention to feel the deficiencies of others as they actually are and fill them. We can only achieve this goal in an environment with others who are aiming toward the same thing. By acquiring and satisfying the desires of others in this way, above our differences, we feel great pleasure and become one again.

New Life #126 – The Essence Of Communication, Part 1

New Life #126 – The Essence of Communication, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary:

Communication is the essence of life and we feel dead without it. The levels of still, vegetative, animate, and speaking in nature all search for connection based on egoistic self-fulfillment, according to the formula of “for my own sake.” The connection is stronger between greater opposites and this contact has developed life ever since the Big Bang. Evolution is driving us to a new phase in the connection between us. It’s requiring us to find a complementary, two-way system of connection as in a stereo system. By nullifying the intention of “for my own sake” and developing the intention of “for the sake of others,” we are able to feel others as ourselves and acquire a new, whole method of communication The attempt to connect with others in this way reveals the oppositeness between us and we gradually discover that nature is like one big, whole ball an analog system. A new level of life is revealed by this two-way communication; a world of infinite information and emotion.

New Life #125 – Managing The Process Of Integration In The Workplace

New Life #125 – Managing the Process of Integration in the Workplace
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Introducing the integral approach to the workplace should be like automatic transmission: natural, soft, and gentle. No change can be made unless people are ready for it internally. More people are recognizing that humanity is undergoing a very special transformation as the global crises and bankruptcies continue. The integral approach will be presented as a means of healing efficiencies, profits, and human relationships. The safe, warm, and bright future picture that will be presented is one based on cooperation, equality, mutual support, and complementation. It is best to begin this integral education with managers and then gradually advance to the lower positions once staff start to feel uncomfortable with the differences between them. Organizations will need representatives who offer close and continuous guidance toward spiritual connection because the ego never goes on holiday. As staff feel a pleasant sense of harmony without pressures and conflicts, they will share lunches during break times, enjoy special treats, and eventually even plan fun family days.

New Life #124 – Management And Leadership In The Workplace, Part 2

New Life #124 – Management and Leadership in the Workplace, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

A manager using the integral approach will know how to turn his organization into a family, not just as a slogan, but in practice. It is a unique approach since the manager is continuously guiding the organization by working with the ego and not suppressing it. The manager conducts workshops for teams of directors who will discuss how a lack of connection is at the root of all the problems and this manager demonstrates how to connect above hatred. He establishes a good atmosphere that gently improves everyone and in which the directors feel emotionally impressed. A common mind is the outcome of working against our ego and ascending above the distance between us. An organization that changes to integrality accelerates the pace of its development. Establishing a good connection guarantees our success in terms of progress, innovation, and mobility.

New Life #123 – Management And Leadership In The Workplace, Part 1

New Life #123 – Management and Leadership in the Workplace, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

The integral manager is a social leader who has a delicate soul and worries about his people like a caring father. This type of manager treats all his people equally and helps them connect through different activities and by organizing a positive environment. He will motivate others by establishing a heartfelt attitude toward his workers. He will lead by setting an example and will have to break himself more than anyone else during the process of integral education. This leader will know how to merge feeling and mind as well as social and hierarchical relationships. In other words, he will know how to create a ball out of lines and circles. He will use integral education to develop creativity and constant improvement.
