Question: If the Creator is the goal throughout the journey and unification and love of friends are the means of revealing the Creator, then it turns out that this is an egoistic action. Will there be a moment when the means are more important than the goal?

Answer: Then what is special about the very action of unification if it is not aimed at achieving the result of merging opposite parts above your individual egoism?

Comment: But reaching adhesion seems rather selfish: I want, I desire, adhesion.

My Response: This is an action above the ego, which does not disappear. You remain divided into parts, and an even greater differentiation of egoism manifests in you.

At every moment, you feel the inner division and opposition growing between you, not as between primitive people, but as between developed people in whom there are disagreements about tastes in cooking, art, life, and so on.

At the same time, you begin to feel exactly how your mutual complement emerges above all this in attaining the Creator since He is comprehended in the difference between you and your correct unity. We have no other tool to sense Him, to model Him, in ourselves.

We must necessarily consist of opposite properties that can combine. Thus, from their combination we will understand what the Creator is; He belongs to another state above this world, which is something we cannot comprehend. But when we model this state in ourselves and arrange it, we begin to understand it, but still from the opposite.

In fact, we do not feel the Creator, but something we create in ourselves. Therefore, the Creator is called Boreh—”Bo – Reh,” “come and see.” Come, that is, create Him in yourself, and then you will feel Him, get to know Him.

We create this as black and white—two opposites that unite into one single whole and complement each other.

Question: I want to follow your advice and love my friend. But my egoistic nature causes repulsion, and I must rise to the level of love for him. So what is my prayer for the other?

Answer: When you try to rise above hatred to love and you make serious efforts to do so, such great egoism is revealed in you that shows you cannot do this. Then you begin to realize that only the Creator can help you, and you seek contact with Him. It is in this search that one can find the Creator.

Answer: Ask Him to help you be in love above hatred.

Question: But it sounds like I am asking for help for myself?

Answer: Why is it for yourself? You want to show love for others! It appears above hatred, above egoism. We do not understand what the manifestation of the quality of bestowal is. It seems to us that I bestow and this is my gain. No, this is not my gain.

The spiritual property requires us to absolutely renounce and rise above egoism. You are making a restriction. Question: When I need to connect with someone and I do not like that person, is it possible to see that the Creator is benevolent to me in this situation, even in an abstract sense?

Answer: I do not know what it means that the Creator is good to me. To the extent that I realize that the entire program works solely for me, for my benefit, I start to reveal that everything in the world exists only to help me correctly express myself within the overall creation.

I begin to discover that I am the only being capable of acting independently within all of creation, that there is no one else in the world except me and the Creator. Then, I realize what I truly need to do.

At this point, it is necessary to nullify my egoism to rise to the level of the Creator as a partner and constantly remain in this state. As it is written: “And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord.”

We must feel that we are chosen, special, and capable of bringing the world to correction and a new state. The Creator has chosen us and we must be worthy of this choice and not beg Him to grant us some egoistic indulgences.

We must act in accordance with the mission He has entrusted to us, and under no circumstances should we lower our heads. On the contrary, we should elevate ourselves even higher so that the mission given to us truly fills and inspires us.
