For the Next Generation

214Question: If I were to open The Book of Zohar and no one told me it was important, I probably would not find anything in it, just a fairy tale. Imagine someone who has nothing to do with us opens this book. What does he find there? What does he read?

Answer: Nothing, but he will learn about this book from me. At the same time, he will have some recordings of our lessons. He will open the book, and along with watching or listening to our recorded lessons, he will study it and this will give him an entrance into the upper world.

Before that, he should read other literature, such as Rabash’s articles about the group, about the connection between people, and also Baal HaSulam’s articles, which shape his approach to The Book of Zohar. This is how he will come to The Book of Zohar itself.

I am sure that in the end people will engage specifically in this.

I think the next generation will finally come to the conclusion that a person does not need to work as much as now. Should he work just to exhaust our planet and produce completely unnecessary things?! He will produce only what is necessary for his existence and spend all the rest of his time studying, disseminating, and exchanging spiritual information.

People will gradually begin to feel that they exist in both worlds. I am sure this will happen, if not in the next generation, then in the one after. But it will definitely happen.

Comment: But you yourself live in the current state.

My Response: I do what I must in my time. I feel myself to be a link in the chain of Kabbalists. I have a clear mission. I think this is clearly visible in my life—what I devote myself to and what I fulfill. I have no questions or issues with this.

A Kabbalist’s Dream

962.3Question: Sometimes you say that people are ready to hear us, but we are not yet ready to properly convey the Kabbalistic information. Are people really ready to hear us?

Answer: No, they are not ready yet. If they were, they would hear. However, it is a dual problem: both on my side and theirs. I am not yet able to convey everything in the way that is most accessible and close to them, and they are not yet capable of grasping it with their inner qualities. So we both still need to move toward each other.

That is why I say that maybe I have a few years left in my life to make the Kabbalah method closer, clearer, and easier for everyone to understand. On the other hand, humanity is gradually approaching me because it is being pushed from behind by crises.

Of course I do not wish any misfortunes upon anyone, but I hope that blows will affect people, and they will come to the goal faster. I see these crises as a manifestation of the disease that is choking and oppressing us but is still hidden inside.

What did they do with the previous wave of crisis? They suppressed it, pushed it inward with “antibiotics” like they usually treat a disease. It seems like it is gone, but it is smoldering inside, everything is already rotting, but you do not feel it yet. And then suddenly, a person gets an X-ray, is opened up, and they say: That’s it, we are sewing you up—and off to the cemetery.

But I do not want things to get to this point. That is why it would be better if humanity gains awareness of the evil of its state at the same time as we provide the method. People will realize that they have nowhere to turn, that they must correct their state, and right there beside them there will be a method showing how to correct it and attain confidence, peace, and a normal life.

We at least speak to them about that, not even about the world to come. At least in this world, they can achieve a good life, for themselves and for their children in everything.

Our task is to bring humanity to this. That will be the first stage of correction, the first stage of accepting Kabbalah as a method of correction. This is my dream.

The Program by which We Develop

294.2Question: Do you think the audio and video lessons, lectures, and programs you’ve recorded in the past are suitable for future learning?

Answer: I think no one will come to replace me so quickly or will begin present material in an even simpler form. At least I don’t see the next person to lead. But that doesn’t matter. It doesn’t bother me.

First of all, what can I say or do? Everything is prepared from above, on the one hand. And on the other hand, it’s simply not necessary. People will have the media recorded in good quality, and they will study it, adapt it to themselves, and apply it.

That’s enough, because everything has already been explained. As long as I have the strength, the time, and the years, I may be able to simplify the material even further. At the very least, people can easily use the content from the last ten years, they can work with it and benefit from it.

And in the end, neither I nor they are the masters of our states, the Creator is. Whatever He decides, that’s how it will be. There is a program by which we are developing.

Connect to the Primary Sources

209Question: Before explaining a certain topic, you always ask to read the relevant article first. Why do you do that instead of just starting to talk about things in general?

Answer: I could speak for myself as well. But I want to teach people to be connected to the primary sources because the main thing for us is to be connected to those great Kabbalists, participants in the common system of souls, who perceive the unified field, the Creator, and exist within it.

That is why we study a book written by a Kabbalist who once lived in our world. In truth, this is a soul that felt the field of the Creator and described it: what happens in its relation to us, how it created us, developed us, and brought us to the state we exist now.

Question: But your own texts are also very deep. Don’t you transmit from your level just like other Kabbalists?

Answer: Yes, but I still do not claim the role of Baal HaSulam, my teacher Rabash, Rabbi Shimon, or the ARI. These are great Kabbalists—powerful parts of the collective soul—who are in deep, vast connection with this field, with the Creator.

They described their sensations and perceptions in a special way. And if I adhere to them through what they wrote, then I connect to their sensations as a small part of them, and in this way I can move forward. But if I do not interact with their source, how can I move forward?

After all, in our world, we also learn from others. If I try to learn by myself, it would take me twenty to thirty thousand years to become a human being. Imagine a child abandoned in the forest, what does he grow into? Nothing more than an animal. He can never become a man.

So do you want me to leave myself and my students alone in the forest? We must make use of everything the great previous generations have done for us, and they have prepared everything!

The Importance of the Sources

255The great Kabbalists of the past prepared a spiritual system for us, just as we have prepared this world for the next generation that can make use of it. Imagine thousands of details surrounding a newborn and then accompanying them year after year throughout their development.

How much we have done so that a person can grow and enter this life correctly! At every stage we try to create something that will develop them, support them, and push them forward. Humanity has conducted a tremendous preparation for their birth. It is the same in the spiritual realm. We cannot even imagine what the Kabbalists have prepared for us.

Today you take their materials and start explaining to others what has already been clearly and explicitly written, and they do not even understand what you are talking about even though it is all explained so simply and logically. You see the ends in this world, the beginning in the upper world, and try to explain this to them.

They do not even perceive what concerns our world: free will, the system of governance, human behavior, the development of humanity under the influence of egoism, the reasons for crises, or our interconnectedness. Only a few people in the world speak about this at all, and even then they do not feel or perceive it. So how can we do without the sources? If only we could learn from our own mistakes.

Comment: Still, when you explain many things, I think that for future generations your texts will become just like the articles of Rabash are for us.

My Response: Maybe so. I am, in some sense, an intermediate link between this or the next generation and Rabash.

Of course, I see myself as someone who can be a connecting link, an adapter, between the Kabbalistic texts and people, because I explain what Baal HaSulam and Rabash wrote. My task is to create a point of contact between a person and the sources.

Depending on the Level of Development

281.02Question: Can a child be provided with the information that an adult possesses?

Answer: It is absolutely impossible. First you must develop the child to the level of an adult, to the level of the Creator. Therefore, as Maimonides writes, things should be explained to beginners gradually, in small portions, until they grow and can properly absorb the information. This is the mastery of the teacher, on one hand.

On the other hand, it is not so bad if everyone hears this information because everyone will still feel it better or worse, closer or further from oneself. So in a lesson, both beginners and people with serious experience and understanding can sit together and each one will understand something.

But there are some feelings and knowledge that should not be conveyed to beginners because they will not perceive them anyway. Strangely enough in Kabbalah, there is no concept of “forbidden” as in our world. Everyone thinks that there are prohibitions and secrets there.

There are no secrets at all. Both an underdeveloped person and a more developed one understand everything at their own level. The development of each one, in principle, is limited by himself. And there is nothing you can do about it.

I cannot whisper some secret into your ear; you simply will not understand it. It is like whispering some human idea to a cow. What will it do? Wiggle its ear and nothing more.

Therefore everything depends on the development of a recipient.

Awaken Points in the Heart

138Question: Until a person has a “point in the heart,” they do not hear the Kabbalists. Is there any way to awaken it?

Answer: Only through external dissemination and internal work among those who already have this point.

If we unite internally (there are already millions of people around the world with an awakening point in the heart) and begin connecting with each other and understand that only in this way can we elevate ourselves, then we will inspire others. They will feel their “body” coming to life.

Imagine a body that was unconscious slowly starts to revive, its organs awaken one by one, pulls others along and helps them awaken as well. That is what we must do.

We must push ourselves forward, higher, out of this unconscious state, unconscious in relation to the Creator. Gradually, others will begin to feel that there is another state like ours, and that this reality is not the ultimate one. We can rise from it to the next level and begin to perceive something completely different even in this life and will experience ourselves as eternal and perfect beings.

You don’t need to abandon your corporeal life, it doesn’t disappear. You simply enhance it with the perception of the upper worlds where you feel the force that guides you in this world, the force that paints this reality for you.

Question: If only the Creator awakens the point in the heart, how can we do it instead of Him?

Answer: We are not doing it instead of Him! When we activate this field of force, the Creator, by striving to connect with each other so that it fills us, we also awaken all the other points that have not yet manifested in their owners. We awaken the entire field!

Question: Does this mean that everyone has a point in the heart?

Answer: Of course! Otherwise, people wouldn’t exist.

Question: Are all points in the heart the same, regardless of financial or other status?

Answer: Absolutely! They are independent of our corporeal world. They differ in their manifestation because they belong to different parts of the collective soul. However, the method of progress and correction is the same for everyone; the only difference is that each person experiences it individually.

Question: Are the points of Baal HaSulam and Rabash the same, just at a different level of manifestation?

Answer: The only difference is that they realized their points before you, and you are realizing yours later. But so what? Ultimately, everyone reaches the same level.

By connecting with others, each person includes everyone else within themselves. In the end, there are no exceptions or privileges for anyone.

Awaken the System of Souls

963.5Question: Your teacher Rabash was the last in the chain of Kabbalists from the period when this wisdom was concealed. Now you are his successor. But the system arranges everything in such a way…

If we compare 1995 with what is happening now, back then only a few people studied Kabbalah, but now I don’t even know where all these people interested in studying Kabbalah are coming from. How does this happen?

Answer: This means that the system of souls is beginning to awaken. It’s not about me. Even though we disseminate our materials everywhere, trying to present them to everyone like in a shop window, this alone does not particularly awaken people.

They are awakened from above, from within, from the side of their soul. We strive to ensure that at that moment, they have the right Kabbalistic materials available so that they can begin their studies.

Question: Can our sluggishness or lack of promptness delay the transmitting of spirituality?

Answer: Of course. That’s why, knowing my mission clearly, I try to fulfill it as much as possible in terms of both time and volume.

Question: Do you know your mission completely?

Answer: No, I don’t know what lies ahead for me. Maybe some new necessity will arise. But I do know that I need to make Kabbalah as accessible as possible to every person in the world and to present the sources to everyone.

That means making The Book of Zohar available, then working through all the articles of Rabash and the Kabbalistic materials of Baal HaSulam. In other words, I must transmit them in such a way that any person in the world can understand them and, by grasping them, move forward.

The Human Mission

533.01Question: Can a person determine their mission? Not invent it, but clearly reveal it?

Answer: One must feel it on their own. I think that in this matter, one cannot listen to anyone, only to their own heart. Look into the most essential. What do you want to leave behind? How can you contribute to this great process that is unfolding with humanity, even with souls? That is, with humanity, not in our world, but in a more perfect space.

Question: Suppose you have students who come, study, and leave, and there are those who invest in certain processes. How can those who come to study find their function? Or is their function simply to study?

Answer: First of all, by studying Kabbalah, you simultaneously correct yourself and the world and bring other souls closer to the point where they too begin to reveal the upper world and the Creator. Studying Kabbalah is an activity in itself.

However, in principle, when a Kabbalist is involved in other everyday matters and interacts with the world, these activities still exert a positive influence on the world. Even at their workplace, no matter what they do or how they communicate with people, they still subconsciously carries out their line, their positive influence on the world.

Question: So it does not have to be an explicit effort to invest in dissemination, to make a loud impact on the world?

Answer: No, if it is given, it is given; if not, then not. It is simply everyone’s mission. I am not to blame for being the way I am. If you were to ask me, “What would you like to do?” perhaps I would be more involved in development, writing, and creating another methodology. Not just another, but a less practical area.

I understand that what I have been given is the most suitable for me; it is just that I do not fully realize it yet. But I am drawn less to the practical actions I engage in (working with a group of students, television, books, and everything else) and more toward deeper, internal study of the material.

But probably the needs of the world and the times push me toward practical actions. Even Rabash told me this.

So there is nothing to be done. Everyone has their own mission, and it must be fulfilled. I do not see anything grand in my mission. I do not think it is visible in me that I take pride in it or value myself for what I do. There is no such thing in Kabbalah, such things are removed immediately.

The fact is that the entire space is filled only by the Creator; while you dissolve into Him, your “I” is not yours. A Kabbalist can only say that they are fulfilling the Creator’s will, and that is all. He does not have his own desire, they do not have themselves because their desire already aligns with the Creator’s desire.

Question: You said that you are drawn to deeper, internal study of the material. What do you mean?

Answer: Personally, I would study Kabbalistic material much more deeply. I do not know if I could describe it the way Baal HaSulam did in The Study of the Ten Sefirot or in his articles. Quite possibly, I could not. But I am drawn to deeper analysis, to revealing connections, not revealing them to the world, but first and foremost to myself. It is difficult for me to express this.

For example, to present the methodology the way Rabbi Shimon did in The Book of Zohar, but to describe it in a way that is closer to us, to people—more emotionally, more psychologically.

Unfortunately, due to lack of time, I cannot engage in this.

Within the Framework of Freewill

963.5Question: Have there been moments in your daily life when something or someone disturbed you, and you started to get angry, but then you remembered where it all comes from? For example, if some knocking, humming, or other noise is distracting you.

Answer: If it falls within the boundaries of freewill, I am ready to “kill.”

The “boundaries of freewill” mean, for example, that if dissemination depends on you and someone is interfering with it, this cannot be forgiven under the excuse that everything comes from the Creator, because dissemination is something you are obligated to do.

There is no forgiveness in such a case, except within the framework of freewill where you must disseminate and do everything in the best and most correct way. Otherwise, nothing exists, not even the wisdom of Kabbalah. Then we are simply animals.

We are not animals only because we have been given the wisdom of self-correction. We are obligated to attract the light for our correction. If someone around me, who has been given this opportunity, does not use it or does it incorrectly, I cannot accept it. But only this!

In everything else, I do not even have the strength to force someone or interfere in any way. Only in what is filtered out as part of their freewill and they are not using it.

Question: But freewill applies not only to dissemination and passing on the wisdom of Kabbalah, but also studying, right? Or is study not part of freewill?

Answer: Freewill includes study, connection in the group, one’s attitude toward the book, the teacher, and the Creator, in other words, everything related to personal and collective advancement toward the goal.

Comment: But you do not pressure people when they go through different states.

My Response: They must go through them. Their freewill consists of enduring these states on their own. I have no right to interfere. If I did, I would be acting as if I were the Creator controlling them from above, from the outside. I have no right to do that.

Question: So does this mean there are two types of freewill, one that is punishable and one that is not? For example, going through states versus dissemination?

Answer: No, there is no such division. It is all the same. It is about a person’s attitude toward their advancement. One is absolutely connected to the other.
