Answer: We have to understand that all our contradictory, opposite qualities, thoughts, and feelings are given to us only so that in unification we achieve such a common state that would be able to contain the entire spiritual system.

Therefore we should not dwell on this, but simply move forward. One who is walking will master the road.

Answer: They are a part of correction, but mistakes do happen.

Question: Can they affect the work of the entire ten?

Answer: Even more than just the ten.

Question: How can we avoid making mistakes?

Answer: You should be afraid of distancing yourself from your friends. The closer you are to each other, the fewer chances you have to make a mistake.

For every member of the ten to take their proper place, the ten must be ready to go through all the stages of correction. It is not that difficult. But the friends need to know this and be prepared for it.

Question: Each Kabbalist acts in his generation according to the power of the light. Is the light getting stronger, and what can we do to increase it?

Answer: Day by day we must test ourselves to what extent we can carry out what the Kabbalists said, each person at his level and degree, based on his reasons, each tries to do what they said.

Then we will feel we are climbing the steps of the spiritual ladder and so are ascending to the highest state.

All Kabbalists who attained the upper world, the Creator, can explain our path to the Creator to us, and can explain how we are interconnected with each other and with them. After all, altogether we represent one unified system in which everyone helps another attain the Creator, connect with Him, and pass this connection over to others.

We must try to learn from our teachers to pass on our methodology.

Question: The Creator gave us the evil inclination and the Torah as a spice. Can we say that we are stuck in the evil inclination and not using the Torah as a spice?

Answer: Yes, and that is why we must ask. If we try to replace our egoistic, evil heart with a good one, we will need the Torah, which will act on us, and our heart will become good.

You need to develop the importance of the goal. Only the importance of the goal will keep you moving toward a state where, no matter how many of your uncorrected qualities are shown to you, you will still keep moving forward.

Question: Let’s say I am in bestowal, seemingly without any calculation, above knowledge. But at the same time, there is a calculation of “what’s mine is mine,” and “what’s yours is yours.” How do we transition from this to “what is yours is yours” and “what is mine is yours?” How does it fit together?

Answer: “What’s mine is yours” and “what’s yours is yours” is complete bestowal, the highest attitude one person has toward another. “What’s mine is mine” and “what’s yours is yours” is complete reception. Between them, there is “what’s mine is mine” and “what’s yours is mine”—this is sheer egoism.

How can I connect these states? Everything that I can give, I give. I also receive everything I can receive for the sake of another because, in this case, my receiving is like giving. It turns out that I give everything I can, and everything I receive is also equivalent to giving. That is how we act.

If all our thoughts are only for the sake of giving, then we are completely righteous. If we want everything for ourselves, then we are absolute villains, sinners. This is where the dilemma arises, how do we divide our states into sinful and righteous ones.

Therefore, Kabbalists advise us to divide our desires into giving and receiving. Those who work for the sake of bestowal will be called righteous, and those who work for the sake of receiving will be called sinners.

Question: The more we study, the bigger our ego becomes. Should we have control over the ego and recognition of it?

Answer: No, we don’t have control over the ego, but we can have recognition of it.

What should we do? Keep moving forward, always asking the Creator for unity and connection with our friends. In this way, through our unity, we will reveal our collective ego and finally ask the Creator correctly to correct it.

Question: How can we avoid fearing the loss of what we already have? By understanding the voice of egoism, how can we still serve the Creator?

Answer: You should tell everything to the Creator, and then you will receive answers from Him. Based on these answers, you will gradually change, and everything will fall into place.

Question: So, should we hold on to the Creator and try to detach from egoism?

Answer: You can try to detach on your own, but it won’t really help. The Creator does this as well. The most important thing is to annul yourself before the Creator. And to annul yourself before Him, you must first annul yourself before your friends. Then everything will work out.

When you ask the Creator to connect you, to the extent He does so, you will feel how close you are to each other, and this is how you will move forward.
