Question: Sometimes in conventions I feel like I am in a suit of armor: everyone around me is happy and full, while I feel empty. What should I do?
Answer: You must “turn-off your head,” become integrated with others, start dancing, or do something else. If nothing helps at all, then go to the kitchen to peel vegetables.
Question: How can one ascend to the common desire?
Answer: You must uncover the yearning for the Creator within yourself. Leave the physical body below and raise the yearning for the Creator, uniting with all the friends.
Question: I am a practical person, not a theoretician or a mystic. If I don’t nullify myself and annihilate my egoism, then I won’t get to the practical work. How can I nullify my ego from within the ego itself?
Answer: First, you don’t nullify the ego; the upper Light that you arouse does. Second, the ego is necessary for us and in no manner should it be annihilated. It is forbidden to annihilate anything in nature! It is only up to us to rise above the egoism in the direction of connection and love.
Question: Why is it not possible to defeat a city of wicked who are standing together as one person?
Answer: It is not possible to defeat them because they also have the power of connection, which attracts the upper Light to them; as long as the upper Light is found among them, it is not possible to defeat them. They are under the protection of the Creator even though they are completely opposite from Him. The Creator is the general law of nature.
Question: Why do people who gather together in a large mass, as for example at rock concerts or soccer games, experience ecstasy?
Answer: They experience this because their desires are gathered together, but this has nothing to do with spirituality.
Question: Baal HaSulam wrote to his seven students that it was enough to gather their sparks in one place to discover spiritual worlds. If so, why is it necessary to gather so many people in a convention?
Answer: We are living in a different period in which it is necessary to gather greater and greater amounts of people. I hope that the great number of people will attain the intensity of a common power, which will truly be according to the first spiritual level, so that we will begin to feel the shared power within us already, in the connection between us.
For Baal HaSulam there were other students and other circumstances. It was much simpler and easier for them, while for us it is much more complicated and difficult.

Question: How can we achieve love in practice?
Answer: If you make efforts and see that you cannot do anything, you are reminded of the Creator and that He must help. When you turn to Him, you see how He arranges everything. This way the love for the Creator will come to you.
You will begin to see that He has prepared all the obstacles for you, all the problems and troubles, with such love, devotion, and care. You will start feeling love for the Creator because “love will cover all sins.” After all, you will see that He has never done you any harm.
When love is revealed and covers all evil, you see that evil has never existed. It only seemed to you that this problem existed, and now you see that it does not. It had to be this way so that you could reveal love.
This also happens in our world. Sometimes you argue with someone—say, with your wife. You are burning with anger! And then you make up, and it seems to you that everything that happened was just a folly and there was nothing important in it. And then you ask yourself how could you want to leave and divorce over such a little thing.
That is life. But what have you attained? You attained that everything that happened was as if unreal and now you are enjoying intimacy even more. This does not teach you too much for the future, so sometimes you will argue again.
That is, if we treat what is happening to us in our lives, our family, and any other place in such a way that it comes to us from the Creator so that we learn to cover everything with love, we will see a completely different life.

Does Love Have A Form?
Question: What can I gain from unity that I cannot achieve individually?
Answer: You will not be able to discover the Creator individually. There are many such “wise men” who were with us and have left and who are joining us now who think like that, but they do not make it through. You have to nullify yourself because the Creator can be revealed only in the desire in which you nullify yourself.
Question: How can you convince yourself that your soul is in other people?
Answer: You will not be able to convince yourself if you don’t believe what Kabbalists say. You reach the wisdom of Kabbalah when you look for the answer about the meaning of life. You begin to read books about the structure of creation, about the structure of nature.
You realize how it all makes sense, how wise it is, and to what degree it is all at the basis of all human knowledge. You understand that this is the main knowledge of mankind, which is the origin of everything; after all, all of the sciences and religions were created from the teachings of Kabbalah, the study of the Creator.
Then if you want to, you can act, and if you don’t want to, then don’t. You were given an explanation. Nothing is concealed from you. You are not told: “Hit your head against the wall, pray until it works out.” Instead you are told about accurate laws: why they are the way they are, how they operate in our world and in the spiritual world, etc. Generally speaking it is a very realistic approach.
Comment: Our theory is indeed very practical and sensible, but when it comes to practically implementing it…
Answer: The practical implementation means that you simply have to make yourself a zero.

Comment: Friends are talking about their impressions of participating in conventions virtually, how their groups of ten sit together with us in lessons and in all the events, without moving from the computer and in mutual support for each other. They feel that their responsibility is much stronger than with us in the hall.
Answer: Certainly. In that way, they are bridging the distance.
The impressions from the conventions don’t depend on their physical presence. Rather, it is whether a person was ready to give everything to be in a convention, but he didn’t have the possibility. Therefore, it makes no difference if he is here or at home.
Question: What kind of future conventions do you see?
Answer: I see the future conventions as virtual conventions. A few thousand people will come to them physically, while all the rest will connect from a distance. Which is to say, the nucleus will be physical and the main part will be virtual.

Answer: You are absolutely right, this is impossible in our world.
But when we perform certain actions that spur and summon a certain secret force from above, even if we do not understand what it is, we actually feel the outcome.
We do not feel this secret force, just as we do not feel many forces that surround us, but when we arouse it, we feel its outcome inside us. Everything makes perfect sense.

Question: How can desires be added together? Even for bricks, we need cement. What connects us together since we are so different?
Answer: We all are egoists, but each has a point in the heart, and we want to connect them into one big point. This is our aspiration to the Creator.
At that, our egoism remains below, and our aspirations to the Creator are above.
If we rise above our egoism to a certain level, then there the spiritual potential called a Kli (Vessel) is revealed; that is, the tension between the aspiration to the Creator upward, and the aspiration to ourselves downward.
We form our Kli depending on this potential. However, the question arises whether this Kli is enough to reveal the Creator in.
Question: Does it mean that the bigger the rejection is, the greater the potential? That is, by and large, it tears me apart.
Answer: Not only you, but the entire group. If you are in the ten, then there should be ten such states. Then the Creator will be revealed in them. The main thing is the common point (red color in the drawing), the Creator. We constantly need to hold on to it.
Question: So, is the potential much more vivid for those who come to the congress without desire, with great doubts, but then overcome them?
Answer: Of course. Therefore, we need all people: with different potentials, with different desires; the main thing is that they can join our common flow.

Solitude Or Congress?
Question: Can the pleasure from the congress erase my question about the meaning of life?
Answer: No, this will not happen because everybody thinks about the meaning of their existence. On the contrary, with each congress people begin to ask this question more and more, and increasingly feel the need for an answer.
However, during the congress they have failures and disappointments: “Everything vanishes, there is nothing in this, why am I here?”
Then suddenly, everything starts to appear and becomes clear again. And this is wonderful! If this happens during the congress, it is great.
