Question: What is the Kli of joy?

Answer: Kli of joy are those desires that are fulfilled by connecting with my students, my friends. This Kli develops like any desire. The more you think about it, the more you use it,  the more you develop it.

Question: If our Kli of joy is in friends, then how do we properly accept the Kelim of a friend in order to fulfill them with this joy?

Answer: If you wish to rejoice with them, then you naturally unite with them and bring them joy.

Question: What exactly is my effort? When the Creator puts me under strong pressure, I am forced to agree to not think about my own benefit, just to escape suffering. But when this pressure passes, can I apply inner pressure on myself?

Answer: That depends on you. Maybe you imagine your current state as perfect or as a future state. But in principle, it all depends on how you categorize it and what you do with it afterward.

Question: How does the state of inner balance work correctly?

Answer: Inner balance occurs when you direct all your desires and thoughts toward the Creator without deviating from this path.

Question: What is the spiritual driving force in the group?

Answer: The driving force in the group is the positive energy that pushes you to clearly determine the Creator’s attitude toward you, and from this, you develop a request to the Creator.

Question: How can I proceed when I need to put in the effort to transition to a new state, but there is fear of losing what I have and the expected future?

Answer: You should not have such fear. However, you must maintain some connection with the Creator, and at the same time, always feel yourself and your friends constantly drawing closer to Him.

A proper and solid foundation for building a spiritual Kli is a connection between you that cannot be imagined in this world.

It is a purely internal connection between all hearts in the group, where together you represent a single pulsating heart. This should be the shared feeling among you. Ask the Creator to feel the one heart together.

Question: How can we check the essence of our unity in the ten?

Answer: It is very simple. Gather together, imagine that you are in one heart, and from that heart alone desire to speak with the Creator and, in fact, with everyone in the world.

Answer: We must find a common connection between us called our collective soul. We need to find the connection between this collective soul and the Creator and merge them.

Question: Should the articles written by Baal HaSulam about society be viewed as a guide to action, or is what is described supposed to unfold first as a result of our spiritual attainment?

Answer: It does not matter how you approach it. Under the influence of the upper light, everything will turn out as it should.

We should interpret that the sin is in saying that there is an evil inclination instead of “There is none else besides Him” (Rabash, “The Sorrow of the Shechina – 2”).

Question: We constantly say we have evil inclination. Do we already sin by this? Do we have to look at this situation differently?

Answer: Initially we are connected to our sinful nature—egoism.

Therefore, first we must figure out how to break out of it, rise above it, and then perform all other actions.
We are born, develop, and live with our egoism, which is opposite to the Creator. So, we need to reach such a state to rise above the ego higher and higher and eventually start working against it.

Man feels that following the inclination gives him sadness, and this is called “the sorrow of the Shechina [Divinity]” (Rabash, Assorted Notes, 890, “The Sorrow of the Shechina – 2”).

The sorrow of the Shechina is a state where I feel that my existence in egoism weighs on me and prevents me from ascending to the Creator.

Question: But isn’t this just regular egoism that suffers because I feel bad?

Answer: No, this is not regular egoism. This is egoism that acts against man, against the Creator. Therefore, to feel it means to feel the sorrow of the Shechina.

The Shechina is always the clothing of the Creator within egoism, within bestowal, in what I want to develop within myself.

Question: Who is the son of the Shechina, and what is the correct realization of this role?

Answer: The son of the Shechina (Ben HaShechina) is the one who was able to rise out of the egoistic desire to receive, connect with the desire to bestow, and remains only in that state.

Question: What are the correct stages of revealing the Creator from a state of descent?

Answer: We need to constantly focus on ensuring that the revelation of the Creator is always maximal, anticipated, and that it brings us joy. We must recognize a descent as something coming from the Creator and for our benefit.

The evil that is revealed must be accepted as coming from the Creator, as it is written: “I have created the evil inclination, and I have created the Torah as a spice, for the light in it returns to the source.”

Therefore, the Klipot (impurities) and various impulses unrelated to the Creator are necessary for us to continuously strengthen our unity above them. We need to build such a structure of connection between us that fully reveals the Creator.

Comment: Knowing that the Creator is good and does good, it’s hard to blame Him for giving us evil.

My Response: He purposely made it this way so that we would get confused, feel the need for His help, and desire to reveal Him precisely despite our egoistic desires.

Therefore, he should know that the Creator is giving him a chance to begin to engage in Torah and work, and this will bring him the real joy called “the joy of Mitzva [commandment]” (Rabash, Assorted Notes, 507, “What Is Joy?”).

If I want to get closer to the Creator and be special in His eyes, a whole new way of relating to people, myself, and what is around me opens before me.

This is how I can choose what to engage in to show a special attitude toward the Creator.

Then I get joy from perceiving the whole world as coming from the Creator and out of this choose only those actions that would bring me closer to the Creator.

Question: Is this called a Mitzva (commandment)?

Answer: Of course. Any action of mine that the Creator desires is called a commandment.
