How Can You Devote Yourself to the Spiritual Path?
Question: Over the course of studying in the group of ten, we have developed trust in our friends and a sense of responsibility for our actions. But we are afraid that what we are doing is insufficient. How can we devote ourselves to the spiritual path without overthinking?
Answer: To some extent, the number of years you have been studying, the amount of effort invested, and your searches matter. But I do not think it is that critical.
The most important thing is how connected you are with each other. When those who know more and those who know less, those with greater desires and those with lesser desires, all come together, they create one common vessel (Kli). In this common vessel shared desires, shared aspirations, and shared questions lead to the progress of everyone.
Gradually, you will all find balance. Those who have been studying for five years and those for five months will reach a state where they think alike and immerse themselves equally in the material.
