From a Feeling of Deep Dissatisfaction

567.04Question: Before you started studying Kabbalah, did you have a predisposition to it?

Answer: Yes, I did. I have felt absolutely dissatisfied all of my life. I was not satisfied with this reality in any way.

I had questions about why I was born and why I existed, although I had everything in abundance. I grew up in a decent, intelligent family. Any education, whatever one needs, I could have it all: any children’s clubs, books, no problem. Yet, I was interested only in finding answers.

Question: Usually young people live by certain interests. When they turn thirty, there is a turning point. Therefore, they very often come to Kabbalah after thirty. Did you also come to Rabash at this age?

Answer: I would have come earlier, of course! I think around 13 to 14 years old because my studies at school, at the university, and everywhere were just attempts to find something, otherwise I would not have had the strength to study.

I was lazy and jumped from one thing to the other. Nothing attracted me! I could not bring myself to do unnecessary things. It was very hard. Although, if something is important to me, then the concept of laziness disappears altogether. But this is like everyone else. The most important thing is the importance of what you do.

Comment: On the other hand, thanks to this, you have experienced certain facets of life.

My Response: Only based on a feeling of deep dissatisfaction.

Initial State for the Development of Feelings

281.01Comment: In principle, a Kabbalah lesson is perceived by us in conceptual apparatus. But you keep saying that this leads us away from the correct understanding because the perception of the mind does not give anything and we need to break away from the images.

My Response: Yes! Because the main thing for us is to develop sensory perception, to feel what we lack.

Our mind is secondary, it develops in accordance with sensations. If I did not have one of the organs of perception, then, accordingly, the brain would not work with it.

If I did not have all the organs of perception, then the brain would not work with anything at all. It would not exist. It would be in the form of a rudimentary, point-like state. From what, then, could it develop? Imagine, if there were no sensory organs, then there is no brain.

Thus, a person has only a theoretical possibility of starting to develop. Some kind of impetus is needed to give a person direction in the development of one’s feelings, and then in the development of his mind. This initial state is called “point in the heart” or “Reshimo” (record, informational gene).

“What is the actual meaning of freedom, in one sentence?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: What is the actual meaning of freedom, in one sentence?

Freedom means that you overcome your egoistic nature—the desire to receive pleasure—and by doing so, come closer to the altruistic laws of nature.

Based on the Daily Kabbalah Lesson with Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman on March 29, 2023. Written/edited by students of Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman.

Psychic Frames

243.04Question: Do psychics and everyone trying to find out the future see it from their uncorrected perception and sort of lay it out on a timeline?

Answer: Psychics, as a rule, also have certain conditions, prohibitions, internal barriers. They are not like ordinary people because what they feel in the higher world already keeps them in their actions, in their attitude to the world.

It is a multi-layered hierarchical system. Therefore, there are such psychics who gladly served the fascists and were their spiritual ideologists. And there are those who cannot afford to do something to the detriment of humanity, that is, to drive it to the goal of creation in an evil way.

It all depends on the level of comprehension and on how much these people realize themselves in the hands of the upper force that stands above the information layer and above everything that can be comprehended. And if they do not have this awareness, then they are just spiritual puppets, so-called angels.

Question: It turns out that they still see only a certain informational layer. They don’t see all the development options, do they?

Answer: No, they only see what is given to them, no more. A person does not understand how limited he is. He thinks that everything has already been revealed to him, but in fact it is just a small drop of information with which he superficially contacts.

He does not see a lot of options. In any case, he is shown a very limited picture either in time, in height, or based on prerequisites. By prerequisites, we mean the sources of what is happening, the causes.

Kabbalah and Physics—Beyond the Quantum Leap

202.0There is nothing outside of our properties. This is incomprehensible to us, but it is very close to quantum physics, to all the latest theories in physics. Of course, physicists have their own “problems,” but still they are smart people, they come to such conclusions without any Kabbalah.

In fact, they are trying to hint through matter that nothing exists. In general, they say that there is only some kind of energy, some waves, and still they cannot say anything about them since all this manifests itself in relation to the observer and is grouped depending on his properties.

The two sciences Kabbalah and physics have come right up to each other, but they will not be able to unite—for this their properties must be changed.

Physicists reach for this with their brains. And although some kind of sensitivity develops in them, it is minimal, at the animal level. And the next level is the one that is explored by a Kabbalah scientist, not a physicist. This is completely different, beyond the quantum leap, where there is light and not particles.

Physicists come to this through the mind. But they stop there, they cannot go any further and claim that physics is at an impasse, in crisis.

Impression of Our World

709There is no true reality. We have to create it ourselves.

The moment you create the quality of bestowal in yourself, you build this reality within it—you and the Creator! When we say “There is none else besides Him,” we mean there is nothing but this quality or your ability to create a higher state.

Question: How is it that the darkness we exist in has so many huge objects placed in it?

Answer: What huge objects?! It is all such minutiae that it is not even noticeable. None of this exists! This is all fluctuations in our unconscious state.

Comment: But for a person, it is quite sizable!

My Response: It happens because you zoom in on it, so you get such volume. Bring it to its normal, objective boundaries, and you will find there is nothing at all, everything disappears.

It depends on the qualities you look at this world with: either from the standpoint of receiving or the standpoint of giving.

From the standpoint of bestowal, our world does not exist because it does not have this quality. From the standpoint of receiving, it exists at such a low level that it is called merely a point of our world.

It Is Not Easy to Study Kabbalah

961.2Question: What happens to people who leave the Kabbalistic group? Do they disconnect somehow, or do they stay in the system internally?

Answer: Among those who left are people who practically forget about this period of life. After all, the main thing is what a person lives for, and whether one is yearning for the world of bestowal, the upper world, or not.

When people lose this desire they return to the usual corporeal system of values and exist normally, and they have nothing else. Subconsciously, somewhere deep down behind the cerebellum with some kind of posterior brain, they understand that there is something else, but they suppress it in themselves: “Perhaps someday….”

Or life no longer seems so flat to them when a person, like a moth, flies and wants only to bask in its rays. They already feel that there is another world and another life because the illumination remains.

I think that when they leave us they do not have absolute complete joy in this world. Who has it at all today? The feeling that there is something else higher constantly gnaws at a person, but it is hard to reach: “I will leave it for later.”

What can you do? This is not a simple thing. I speak as a person who has been in Kabbalah since 1975. Those who really stay are, of course, heroes. The main part of the world group are people who came to us at the turn of the century.
