The Four Attributes Of Upper Governance, Part 1

282.01The Base for the Revelation of the Creator

Baal HaSulam’s article “Peace in the World” examines four attributes: mercy, truth, justice, and peace. These are very difficult attributes; it is difficult to understand them; people are constantly confused about them, but we still need to study them.

Even if you forget about them later on like at school, how long did we study all kinds of subjects and what do we remember? But this is called education. The fact that this knowledge has passed through you shapes your brain.

Mercy, truth, justice, and peace are the four attributes that exist in each of us. They exist in society, in the family, in any object. We are drawn to these basics. We always want to use them in some way, to manage them or for them to control us.

In general there is a problem here: how can you master all four categories within yourself? We have a need for them, but we don’t know how to work with them.

Baal HaSulam examines the categories of mercy (hesed), truth (emet), justice (tzedek), and peace (shalom) in relation to the individual and society since they practically work in each of us and mainly in the connection of a person with other people.

Our correction depends on how much we are connected with each other because only then will we find such a network of dependence and interaction between ourselves, which is called Adam, and we will catch the Creator in it.

Therefore, it becomes clear to us that these categories are fundamental. And if we use them correctly, combine them among themselves, they will give us the basis in which we will reveal the Creator.
