A Lego Made Out Of The Creator’s Pieces

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: During the lesson we work with the Light that corrects us. But what do we work with at the Convention?

Answer: At the Convention this happens even more! We don’t have any other means to influence what is happening to us besides the Light that reforms. It is the only thing we can awaken!

We awaken our future states that haven’t been revealed in us yet and which are about to be revealed. They are states of bestowal to the outside, where every person bestows outward, to his neighbor. This is precisely the quality that we want to discover—each person inside of him and all of us as a whole.

When we reveal this quality of bestowal, it means that we have revealed the Creator. As Kabbalists tell us, this quality gave birth to us, formed us, and dispersed us far away from one another so that by uniting with each other we would reveal it once again.

In the meantime, the Creator is in exile. What does that mean? We can say that He also disintegrated into tiny pieces and is inside all of these broken parts that are far away from one another. As soon as you begin connecting them, you start to recreate or restore Him, the common force of bestowal.

We have to build an image for ourselves that is close to the truth. Otherwise we live in various religious fantasies, imagining an unreal, non-materialistic picture.

We have to understand that the difference between faiths or religions and the science of Kabbalah is that faiths or religions want to imagine spirituality in the material desires, which perceive everything “within” and therefore build their notions according to the earthly reality, with creation being below and the Creator being above, as if they are separated by distance rather than qualities. They do not talk about man’s correction.

In contrast, the science of Kabbalah says that everything is inside of man. Thus, the upper reality or dimension becomes revealed in a person’s inner corrections and changes. Therefore, the most important thing for us is to correct man. By correcting our qualities, a person feels that the Creator is revealed inside of him.

How To Come Out Of A Dead End

Dr. Michael LaitmanIf a group has come to a dead end of mutual hatred, then it’s best to break it up in order to give people a chance to see the truth. Let each person stay home and evaluate his life. The hatred will become less blinding, and he will get a more objective look at the hatred between friends, bringing a little bit of rational thinking into the emotion.

Then he will start thinking about what he should do with this hatred, where it came from, and for what purpose it was given. He will then remember that hatred is the means for an ascent. After all, the Creator created the evil inclination and purposefully evokes the hatred between us so that we would appeal to and reveal Him. The science of Kabbalah is the means for revealing the Creator and you have the opportunity to reveal Him right now.

The Creator only becomes revealed above our egoism, and as long as we feel good we will not appeal to Him. We must understand once and for all that all advancement comes only as a result of negative sensations. If a person feels good, he won’t make a move; this is our nature.

Hence, it is possible to work on love of friends if we imagine all the processes and states that we will have to go through, if we discern them within ourselves and understand them, write them down, go back to the self-analysis a few times a day, and add logic and emotion to it. This is how we begin to control each state, bad or good, and use it as a necessary means or a lever that will allow us to turn it into the next state of advancement.

If each one of us will try to break our ego, our “stony heart,” it means that we enter the heart of our friends. Ultimately, we reveal the only state that exists, which our egoism was concealing from us.

We are not working on our friends or the group, but simply changing our perception of reality and our hearts. The problem isn’t in the friends and the group. There is only my soul, which I need to collect into one whole.

Look Into The Root If You Want To Solve The World’s Troubles

Dr. Michael LaitmanLet us hope that by virtue of our efforts we will sweeten the Gevurot, the harsh events that require us to overcome them, which are being revealed in the world today. We have to think about this and make efforts.

A big convention in North America will begin soon where we will try to exert a positive influence on the world through our powerful unity. The right approach is very important here. “A positive influence” does not mean that we will eliminate all the bad occurrences. We cannot eliminate them or correct them. Rather, we have to take care to ensure that people advance toward mutual bestowal, to interconnection. Then, as a result of that interconnection, the earth will calm down as well, all the problems and revolutions will become resolved, and so on.

Don’t come forward against nature, trying to prevent the disasters. This is an incorrect prayer and it will never happen this way. Instead, turn to the cause of the troubles, to the source of the natural occurrences. The problem is inside of us, and therefore we have to correct our own states. That’s all there is to it.

We have to unite as much as possible and wish for our unity to be the means for the whole world to advance toward the same thing. Then everything will immediately calm down, including the occurrences happening right now, as well as the troubles that await us in the future in order to incite us to attain correction.

A College Degree At The Age Of Twelve

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What exactly does the wisdom of Kabbalah give to children that a good private school is unable to provide?

Answer: Kabbalah develops a human being. It gives him tools which then make one’s life easy. It gives a possibility to perceive and learn everything in an easy way because it reveals abilities in a person which allow him to understand everything.

He will not encounter any difficulties that would make him feel incapable of overcoming them. He will be looking at everything from above as something that he can learn. He will not experience any difficulties in acquiring any knowledge.

Kabbalah studies expand a child’s tools of perception to a higher level. As a result, he will not have any problems with ordinary sciences such as physics, chemistry, or biology. He will look at them as a science of the lower levels of nature: inanimate, vegetative, and animate.

Kabbalah immediately begins to develop the human level within a child. The rest of the levels come amazingly easy for him. He can graduate from a college within two to three years at the age of 12 to 15.

We just did not set such a goal until now. However, we can organize such a group and request the department of education to give them qualifying exams. Let them see how developed are these children and how maturely they think. They really deserve a diploma according to their human level.

My Good Environment – Dr. Laitman’s Daily Advice for the Week

Recent Meetings At UNESCO And The UN

Dr. Michael LaitmanRecently, we established an active relationship with the United Nations, particularly, UNESCO, through activities in Paris, Moscow, and New York.

A few days ago, I had a face-to-face meeting in France with the Director General of UNESCO, Mrs. Irina Bokova. In my capacity as president and founder of the Ashlag Research Institute (ARI), together with our delegation, I presented her with a proposal of a new global and integral education method that implements the rules of an interdependent and integrated electronic world. Joining me were Rachel Laitman, Norma Livne, Leonid Makaron and Seth Bogner, as ARI’s board members.

Mrs. Bokova was very receptive to our principles of a new global education system to prepare today’s children and youth for a fulfilling life in a highly dynamic global world.

After the encounter, we received a special invitation to participate at the presentation of the UNESCO’s annual evaluation “Education for All Global Monitoring Report.” The event took place in March, 2011 at Columbia University in NY.

Our delegates, Seth Bogner, Rachel Laitman, and Norma Livne had the opportunity to express our views for a better education together with the Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Mr. Meron Reuben and also strengthen the contacts with UNESCO’s Director General, Mrs. Irina Bokova.

The event was also led by Under Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, Mrs. Michelle Bachelete.

In Moscow, Eli Vinokur, Leonid Makaron, Anatoly Ulianov, and Leonid Elizarov, as representatives of the ARI, had an active role at the UNESCO’s conference “Youth Participation in Social Transformations: Initiatives and Participation.” Our materials will be published in the summary of the event and future activities have been discussed.

On March 11, our ARI delegates, Leonid Makaron and Seth Bogner participated at the conference “Building Peace: Reconciliation through Education, the Sciences, Culture and Communication,” held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The Forum was opened by the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki Moon and UNESCO’s Director General. The High Panel on Peace and Dialogue among Cultures also includes: Prince Turki Al Faisal of Saudi Arabia, Nobel Laureate in Physiology, Günter Blobel, and other international personalities.

The successful results of all these activities mark the start of a continuing process of mutual collaborations in the field of education for the sake of a better humanity.

Kabbalah Moments: Past – Present – Future

Intention: What’s Important Is The Result

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What is intention?

Answer: Intention is what you desire from your state. The important thing isn’t what you say or do, but precisely where you aim, what result you expect from the present state, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s yours or ours.

Stated differently, how do you want to see your following state? How do you envision it now? What will you do: bestow to the Creator, receive for yourself, earn, steal, pass on, give out? How do you envision yourself in the next state? This is your intention.

That is why only the human has intentions. He is the only one in all of creation that is outside of time. The intention does not operate in the material time, but in spiritual time, which lies above our desire.
