How Can We Reveal the Shechina (Divinity)?

939.02Question: In one of your books, you described the phenomenon of the Shechina. Now that we have gathered at the convention, there is a feeling that the Shechina is literally present between us, making this the holiest place. How can we all reveal it together?

Answer: You want to jump from the very first point of our path straight to its final point. That is practically impossible. But you must ask, think, and pray for it.

Question: What can help prayer become a part of me?

Answer: It depends on how much the prayer comes from the heart.

Which to Choose: Life or Death?

198Comment: A Malaysian woman committed suicide after posting a request on Instagram asking her followers to help her decide whether to choose life or death. 69% voted for death.

My Response: Many people would die if it could be done easily. I take a pill, fall asleep, and that is it. So why suffer? If this life does not offer you fulfillment, inspiration, or achievement of a dream, it is unhappy. We end up dying anyway.

Society and the state are doing the right thing by not allowing this to develop. As the Torah says: “Choose Life.” But you have to choose that. We must try, strive, and seek this.

Kabbalah offers this, but to do so, one must come to it and find an eternal, perfect life.

Question: What is the goal of the upper governance in bringing a person to such a state?

Answer: So man can be convinced that life has a meaning. Just not the one he lives by. He lives an animal life, but he needs to rise to another level.

Question: Are you in favor of attracting people with pleasure, or pushing them with suffering?

Answer: Attracting with pleasure.

Question: In other words, to show this world is worth living?

Answer: The upper world. Sure.

Comment: World above egoism, as you keep saying.

My Response: Yes, absolutely. That is precisely what it is for.

543.02Question: What should be done to thank the Creator?

Answer: If you feel gratitude toward the Creator for what He is doing for you now, all you can do is bow before Him and surrender to Him, so that He continues working on you further.

Question: To rise, do you need to feel your own pain or the pain of others?

Answer: Your own.

Question: How should we turn to the Creator in states of descent and hopelessness?

Answer: In such states, you must stop all your internal sensations and raise them to the Creator. This will be the most correct and reliable action.

Question: Is joy and gratitude toward the Creator also correction?

Answer: Not “also,” this is the correction.

Question: How can we—those who haven’t yet reached spiritual understanding—raise the importance of this work in the ten? Since when we go home now, part of us simply feels spiritually dead.

Answer: You are still and will be for some time under the direct guidance of the Creator. So keep this in mind. Everything that happens to you is a result of external influence. Try to write down the most vivid phrases, appeals to the Creator, and make them key for yourself. After that, we will go together.

How Can We Hear the Creator’s Answer?

232.1Question: It is said one should thank the Creator for the past and for what will happen to him in the future. How can we help each other hear His answer correctly and thank Him?

Answer: How do we understand the Creator’s answer correctly? I would advise you to consider that you have received the answer, even though you do not understand it. Consider that the Creator clears all paths and ways to Him before you.

You can come and address Him, draw closer to Him, and demand from Him. But in fact this will happen when you accumulate your efforts and your requests and raise all this to the Creator. Then He will answer you.

After the Congress: Steps in the Spiritual World

253Comment: Usually after a congress we say that there is no need to cling to what we have experienced. But for some reason this time there is a strong desire to hold on to the feeling of unity.

My Response: You are beginning to feel the common Kli and receive Ohr Makif (surrounding light) from it. It starts to lift you up, protect you, and hold you within itself. That is why, as we start from this Congress and move forward, it is very important to begin to take some steps on your own in the spiritual world, in spiritual connection.

You have tens, and you have a connection among them. In each country there are 10, or 20, or even 30 tens. I am ready to visit you, and ready to give online lessons from here. So it all depends on you, on how you organize yourself.

You Are Not Alone!

272Question: It is said that for correction, one needs to attract the light. How can I attract the light alone? Let’s say I am at the airport, and some silly thought comes to me.

Answer: It seems to you that you are supposedly alone. When are you alone? Never.

Everything depends only on your inner feelings. You are still with your friends, and you are all striving toward the goal together. On the contrary, if you are alone somewhere, you feel even more keenly that you are with them.

Question: Does this feeling arise somewhere in the heart, inside you?

Answer: What difference does it make where? Do we sense it through changes in blood pressure or nervous system activity? Where is it really? It is outside of us.

For the Glory of the Creator

943This is a group of people who have gathered to be together in one place, under one leader, to be together. With superhuman courage they face up to all those who rise against them. Indeed, they are brave men with a strong spirit, and they are determined not to retreat one inch. They are first-class warriors, fighting the war against the inclination to their last drop of blood, and their only wish is to win the battle for the glory of His name (Rabash, Letter 8).

Question: About whom did Rabash write in this letter? About people who gathered together for the first time? Or about a group that had worked together for a long time, and whose members had finally become bold and determined?

Answer: Rabash wrote only for his students. That is how we should also perceive what he writes.

We must strive to be together as one man with one heart. Moreover, each person should look around and see if someone needs their help. That is the most important thing.

Stand Guard Day and Night

938.05We need to experience the states called “day” and “night” so that we can integrate both into our goal. If we work in this way, all the efforts we make during the convention will accumulate to a degree sufficient for achieving the goal, and we will reveal the Creator within our common connection. This defines the success of the convention.

The state of night is different from the state of day in which a person is full of strength, inspiration, feelings, and clear understanding of the states they are going through. Still, we must try to gather and unify all the states we go through into one shared state—evening and morning, one day—where everything is good.

Day is when I feel how the light illuminates my relationships with others, and through them my relationship with the Creator. Everything is filled with the light of the day, the light of the Torah.

Night, however, is different. When night is sent to us from above, we must learn to behave in a way where all our thoughts, desires, and actions are only for the sake of accepting the lack of light and reaching unity, which reveals new desires within us.

We learn from both states night and day, which in the end must complement each other, merge into one day where “darkness will shine like light,” and all the states we have passed through will serve our attainment and adhesion.

The light will shine like day because in both darkness and light we must reveal the Creator’s attitude toward us, understand what He wants from us, and draw closer to each other until we reach complete unity (congress).

It is said that a person must stand guard both day and night, meaning they must integrate all states, both open like day and concealed like night, until within all of them together our connection with the Creator is revealed.

During the day we feel our connection with the Creator openly, within reason, through our striving to draw closer to Him. This is the work of the day. But the work at night is entirely different because at night the Creator is concealed, which makes it difficult for us to perceive and feel Him, and to turn to Him.

Yet whether it is day or night, no matter the conditions we find ourselves in, we must strive toward the upper force and try to invest everything we have—our hearts, desires, actions, thoughts, and prayers—so that we can unite together and draw the Creator into the center of our connection.
