Our Desires Reflect What We Believe To Be Necessary

Two questions I received from women about necessities and bearing children:

Question: Being a woman (and we are more vain I hear), what is the parameter of “normal consumption?” Is my going to get my hair done regularly at the beauty shop excessive, and what about all the beauty products that women consume – the clothes, the accessories, the jewelry, the shoes? Should we have only two pairs of shoes? I completely understand that excessive consumption of food leads to bad health – that one I get.

My Answer: If your head is “in the clouds,” then your mind cannot be focused on shopping. This is what will happen naturally, won’t it?

Question: In this world of crisis and suffering, should one want to have children? (I am a 32 year old woman, childless, and wondering if this egoistic desire to have kids should be fulfilled or not, as we know it is so hard to live in the world we know.)

My Answer: You should bear and raise children, in order to make them and yourself similar to the Creator.

If Your Husband Doesn’t Want To Study Kabbalah, Leave Him Alone

Three questions I received from women:

Question: In your post, “The Surrounding Light’s Influence Depends On Your Aspiration to the Future State,” you wrote that the biggest influence of the Surrounding Light occurs during the morning lesson. Does it work the same way for the women studying Kabbalah?

My Answer: The Light comes to a woman from the men’s part of the group and through her participation in dissemination, rather than from knowledge, studying, and the group.

Question: Does Kabbalah deem it acceptable for a woman to make a living by singing, and can she sing about the purpose, the goal in Kabbalah?

My Answer: Yes to both questions.

Question: I began to study Kabbalah, and I would like my husband to study as well, but his interests are completely different. What can I do?

My Answer: Leave him alone.

Women Just Can’t Accept That They Will Never Be The Same As Men

laitman_2009-03_7925A question I received: Do you ask yourself why women ask you the same question all the time? The answer is: because you don’t give them the answer. You don’t give the answer for the individual spiritual advancement of the women. When women ask you about this, you start a long speech about the men’s part, the group, the women’s role in the world Kli, and so on, avoiding saying how women can make spiritual advancement individually. Today at the morning lesson you gave a very perplexing explanation, ending with the frightening words, “if a woman advances in spirituality alone, she will get the form of an angel or demon.” So I have the feeling that you are avoiding telling us something.

My Answer: I have nothing else to say: a woman does not wish to hear the answer because it does not make her the same as a man. She cannot sit next to the men and study together with them at night, hug them, drink and sing with them, and so on, because she is a woman, and I cannot change that. I do provide the method of individual correction, but it is not what women desire; instead, they want to be “like men.” That is their tragedy.

The Best Way To Help The World Is To Explain The Method Of Correction To Everyone

laitman_2009-03_8183Questions I received from women:

Question: If 2009 depends on us and our correction of our egoistic nature, how can we contribute to this process most effectively?

My Answer: By explaining it to everyone else.

Question: Why does a person lose faith?

My Answer: In order to obtain knowledge.

Question: What can be done in order not to lose faith?

My Answer: Obtain knowledge.

Question: Is it true that Kabbalah does not treat energy healing seriously, or does it simply prefer not to talk about this in order to avoid confusion?

My Answer: Everything that helps is beneficial.

Question: If we don’t reach correction, we return to this world. Does the same happen to vicious and evil people?

My Answer: Yes, and we are just like them.

Question: I am from Chile and I am 11 years old. I watch the children that study with you on Fridays with admiration. I wish there could be a day devoted to us, children in my country. You teach us how to grow and have a better future. What should I do so I won’t lose this desire in my heart?

My Answer: Continue to be together with us, and the rest will come!

Question: As a woman, what should I do for men in my city and country to unite into a group?

My Answer: You should disseminate the knowledge of “how to live a better life.”

The Best Way To Improve Our Relationships Is To Disseminate The Wisdom Of Kabbalah

Three questions I received from women on relationships with men:

Question: I cannot accept your assertion that “a man assesses a woman based on love – not for her, but for his hormones.” Could you elaborate on this?

My Answer: Ask physiologists, doctors, biologists, geneticists, and just sensible people.

Question: Why do men think there is some perfect, ideal woman waiting for them around the corner that will somehow be different and better than all other women? Why would a man expect a woman to fulfill needs that are basically impossible and almost supernatural? Why does it seem like the more a woman tries to give a man what he wants, the more he expects from her?

My Answer: Because they are egoists!

Question: What limits are there in a woman’s relationship toward her husband? How should she behave towards him when he has such high expectations of her but doesn’t listen to her and ignores her basic needs, putting himself before her and the children? What should a woman do when her man behaves this way? And when should she give up on him? This is particularly about men within the group.

My Answer: The reason for all these feelings is a woman’s dependence on a man. Everything will change only together with the general correction, as a consequence of it. Therefore, participate in the dissemination of Kabbalah instead of blaming men and the Creator.

Can Women Study In A Group?

A question I received: In one of your latest entries, someone asked you: How important is it for a woman to study in a group? And you answered:There is no such thing as a women’s group. A woman and a group are incompatible.” Are you saying that because I’m a woman, I cannot study together with other people in a group? My boyfriend and I want to join a “real life” (not virtual) group and study with them. So how am I supposed to study? By myself? At home?  Please explain.

My Answer: Women are not organized into groups of friends because the work of uniting is intended for the men only, in accordance with their nature. This is not suitable for a woman’s nature. However, during the actual study of Kabbalah, women can participate together with men or study in groups of women.

We Are All Female In Relation To The Creator

Two questions I received on what being a woman means in spirituality:

Question: You say that in order to advance spiritually, a woman has to help the male part of the world group, and this is how she will obtain her fulfillment. However, when a woman expresses a direct desire “to be like the Creator,” everyone laughs at this. Should a woman be ashamed of this desire if she has it?

My Answer: Don’t worry. It’s quite the contrary: all of us, men and women alike – all the souls, are the female part of the Kli. We are all the desire relative to the Creator, who is the male part, the One who fulfills us.

Question: In this life I am female. In my past lives was I always female? If I reach equivalence of form in this lifetime, will I be female in spirituality? If so, will a man also be male in spirituality, or female because he will be filled with Light in his vessel which is female?

My Answer: You were always female and you will be female up until the Final Correction.

Do Women Make Better Managers?

thin lineIn the News (from Grant Thornton): New research from Grant Thornton International reveals that women still hold less than a quarter of senior management positions in privately held businesses globally. 24% of senior management positions are currently held by women. The greatest percentage of women in senior management is in the Philippines where women hold 47% of senior positions. They are followed by Russia (42%).

My Comment: Women are more adapted to “run the household” than men. Therefore, the more women we will have in leadership and management positions in the world, the more stable and dependable the world will become.

Women Should Recognize Opportunities And Stop Blaming Men For Everything

Two questions I received on study opportunities for women:

Question: Several times I have heard women, children, and slaves be referred to as one soul. I don’t understand this attitude, especially in light of the enormous work women do in studying and disseminating.

My Answer: You are hearing it adversely: everything described in Kabbalah speaks about the correction of the soul. Every person is an egoist, regardless of one’s gender, and all people have to correct themselves. This is what you should think of, instead of thinking that you are deprived of the opportunity to be corrected and to attain the Creator.

I advise you to stop trying to “blame men for everything,” and instead to recognize the opportunity you have been given. Unfortunately, instead of correction, many women focus on looking for someone to blame for the fact that they are women.

Question: Two years ago, I asked for women to have an opportunity to ask questions and receive answers. You personally promised to solve this problem. However, to this day I am unaware of such an opportunity. As you know, women have never been able to ask questions during the morning lessons.

My Answer: I assure you that many women ask questions through the Internet during the morning lessons, providing male names. In addition, we have sections for women and children on our website, where you can ask anything you like.

A Talk About the Spiritual Advancement of Women

First Be A Good Wife And Mother, And Then Study Kabbalah

Three questions I received from women about Kabbalah and relationships:

Question: I started studying Kabbalah online in January, but my husband does not show any interest in starting anytime soon. I understand that every person has to start studying Kabbalah when the time is right for them, and I do have an easy relationship with my husband, for he respects what interests me and I respect him likewise.

Still, I do wish to be with a man whose spiritual desires are compatible with mine. What is the best thing for me to do? Wait for him to get curious and interested in Kabbalah through example? Or even if this doesn’t ever happen, should I just be content with what I have?

My Answer: First and foremost, you have to be a good wife and mother. After that, in your free time, you can study Kabbalah.

Question: I am a woman who is quite new to Kabbalah and I have a question about how I should study Kabbalah together with my boyfriend who was the first of us to discover Kabbalah. I wish for us to have a meaningful relationship with spiritual growth. Can we talk about our experiences in Kabbalah together, or will that be harmful to our spiritual progress? And how can I help him correct his ego? I’ve read your articles about women and Kabbalah, and some about relationships.

My Answer: You can study together. I recommend reading articles on mutual work.

Question: I read that a woman advances together with her husband. But what if I don’t have a husband? What should a single woman over 45 do to meet a Kabbalist? Maybe there is a dating service?

My Answer: Check out our dating site.
