A question I received: Is it enough for everyone to understand that their personal egos have turned global, or do they have to know that this process has a goal?

My Answer: Everyone’s goal is to have a good life, and nothing else. Just as people wanted to succeed in the past, so they do now. This is perfectly normal. We only have to teach everyone how to succeed. We want to provide them with a guide to success in the new world!

First, we should explain that this state is completely new. You see that nobody has a solution. Are all the people really that stupid? No, they are not stupid. It is just that a new, unfamiliar law has been revealed. But once everyone will understand this law, they will say, “But what should we do? We don’t know what to do.”

For now people still don’t accept this law. But once they will receive a few more blows of fate, they will accept it. They will start listening to the explanation out of helplessness, and will ask for direction. That is when you have to give them the method and teach them how to connect to other people and to the environment, in a way that will be considerate of everyone.

We are not telling people that they should immediately feel absolute love for one another. In the beginning, simply taking others into consideration will be sufficient. After all, we are all in the same boat, under the influence of one common force and one common Nature. So how can we change our attitude to the people around us? We can sing songs about it, talk on the radio about it from morning ’till night, write about it in the newspapers and have discussions about it. And we won’t be doing this in order for someone to make a profit from it, but because otherwise we simply won’t survive.

We have to change and become similar to Nature. Right now fear of losing one’s job and fear of poverty are spreading all over the world. So let us spread something else around the world as well: the idea that we are now in a new state, and we require new relationships in order to cope with it.

A question I received: Wanting to unite with others for personal benefit is an egoistic desire. How is it different from egoistic love?

My Answer: It differs by one’s understanding of the fact that we are living in a global, interconnected world, where everyone depends on everyone else, and all of us together exist in a unified network.

In the past, we lived according to the capitalistic law of profit, where one’s income depended on one’s abilities to use others, steal from them and cheat them in other ways. Some did this openly while others did it inconspicuously. However, now this law doesn’t work anymore. Now you have to take care of the same people whom you exploited in the past. You will reap benefits only to the extent that others are doing well.

It’s not easy to realize that we are all in one boat, and that anyone who causes harm on an individual level is actually hurting everyone. Once we realize this, we will enter a mutual guarantee, even though it will still be based on egoistic calculations. Nevertheless, when people connect to each other, then even if they do it egoistically, they will still begin to feel the influence of a spiritual force (the Light) inside this involuntary connection.

They will then begin to realize that this unification holds something higher than the material benefits they pursue – and people will then aspire to this higher fulfillment.

We have reached a state where it is essential for us to unite. However, we mustn’t unite in order for each one of us to feel better, but because by doing so, all of us together will feel better.

In the past, we were drawn to each other because of the benefits we received from collaboration. This is why we have developed a global connection among all the people in the world. We produce something in one part of the world, sell it in another part of the world, receive something else from a third part of the world, and all of this affects yet another part of the world. This is how people fulfill their egos, their individual desires to receive pleasure.

Now, however, it is time for us to switch from the egoistic connection between us to an altruistic one. We mustn’t do this in order to profit, but in order for everyone to benefit. We have to shift from a connection that’s “for the sake of receiving” to a connection “for the sake of giving.” We have to unite for the sake of the opportunity to bestow.

Of course, this sounds absolutely unrealistic, but Nature will oblige us to attain this kind of unification. Therefore, we will be better off if we take initiative and learn Nature’s law of universal bestowal and love. This law is a result of the fact that all of Nature is a single body. If we will, at the very least, begin to talk and think about this, then our thoughts will do all the work!

The science of Kabbalah explains that none of us has the power to attain spirituality on his own. Alone, we cannot attain and become filled with the quality of bestowal, and thereby acquire peace. Rather, we can only accomplish this by creating the proper connections between us. And to do this, we should understand that by reaching the correct kind of unification, each of us will receive all of the common force. And this is something that can only be accomplished through love.

When Kabbalah’s idea will come to life, the process will unfold of its own accord; people will simply begin to understand everything and to act accordingly. Everything will advance forward, as if humanity is being sucked into a “spiritual vortex.” The idea of restoring and correcting the single human body, Adam, will slowly become a reality.

Prominent people the world over will begin to talk about this and to take this idea further. They will create various committees and forums, and all the media channels will talk about it. Everyone will see that the world is globally interconnected. The idea will simply come to them and they will know how to use it.

It can happen very quickly: in just one day, people all over the world may awaken. Organizations as big as the UN, UNESCO and the World Bank will accept this idea and begin the process of rearranging their relationships. The financiers, politicians, and G20 leaders will begin to see this clearly, and will come together to discuss it.

The method we always talk about in Kabbalah will surface within them. This will happen simply because we’ve worked on it. And the world will then implement this idea – people will begin to aspire to the Creator in the right way. They will already know how to proceed, and will recognize that the path lies in unity among people. The people will know what to do because they will know how to unite with one another.

As soon as the world will begin to understand and desire this idea, everything in the world will change in an instant. It’s not necessary to take any practical measures, because we are dealing with people’s desires and intentions, which are immediately expressed and realized. When the interpersonal relationships will begin to follow this method, suddenly everything will begin to work. Nature will be kind to people, and everyone will shift to a good, correct and peaceful path of development.

We say that the modern world has become global and integral, and all the people in the world are now connected to each other. Is this a fact that’s described in some book, treaty, or convention? Or is it an indisputable fact that exists in the world? Where does this phenomenon come from?

Just as the force of gravity influences everything on earth, so the force of our connection is being revealed today. Until recently, this force – the connection between us – was not apparent, and everyone was free to do whatever they wanted. Today, however, we are dependent on this force and controlled by it.

This force connects everyone’s thoughts, desires, and actions with everyone else. It’s as if we are in a net that was imposed on us from above and that holds us together. In it, every person unwillingly influences everyone, and everyone influences each and every one of us – through thoughts, desires, and actions.

This force, this absolute interdependency, is being revealed to us in order to make us want to unite as one, and to reach the “Mutual Guarantee.” When we reach this state, we will reveal an Upper Intelligent Force – the Creator.

A question I received: All the countries seem to be talking about unity, but in the meantime, they are raising their tariffs. How can we let people know what they need to do in order to stop being separated from the rest of the world?

My Answer: People lack a clear understanding of what is happening. Their former way of thinking provides a recipe that seems effective and reliable: let’s stand apart from the other countries and work out our internal issues. In other words, let’s spend as little money as possible outside our country while absorbing and receiving as much as possible from the outside.

This type of behavior is typical for a person in crisis – he wants to save and stack up as much as possible while spending or using as little as possible. The same behavior is typical for governments as well. This is an egoistic, instinctive self-preservation reaction. But today, it is killing us, and it will only lead to Nazism and war.

Yet, it is possible to adopt a different kind of attitude: to refrain from the instinctive, egoistic reaction of isolating oneself from others, and to think together about what to do. If the only thing that can save us is for everyone to unite, because we are bound together by an inner connection, then let’s make our connection correct.

Countries have to come to an agreement that will be a “relationship regulator.” The agreement should be that every nation will receive ad consume whatever amount of resources it requires, and if it makes any additional profit, it will contribute it to the world fund. If the global community agrees to this and understands the need for it, then humanity will be saved. And people are already capable of understanding this.

What is the cause of the new situation we are in? Why is the connection between us being revealed? It is to reveal the connection between our souls. This net that binds people together is spiritual, and it is called Adam HaRishon, the common soul.

We are “caught” in it like fish in a net – this is how we feel because we do not desire this connection! However, if you will desire to be connected to everyone else by this net, it will become a pleasure for you. Why? Because through this mutual connection, you will attain the Upper Force and spiritual life.

You are already inside this net – it is Nature itself. And the financial crisis, as well as all the other crises that are happening in different areas, are there for us to become aware of the net we are in.

Many scientists and philosophers, from Vernadsky, Kant and Hegel to modern-day philosophers, describe the world as one unified, closed system that’s completely interdependent on all levels. They explain that man cannot exit outside the laws of Nature, but always remains within them.

Today we too can see that Nature is completely integral. But how can this be revealed to and understood by the simplest person out there, who knows only his work place and his route to work and back home? It will become clear to him when he walks into the local grocery store and the salesperson will tell him, “We’re out of bread!”

Why are they out of bread? Because one supplier didn’t deliver flour, another – oil, another – water, and another yet – electricity. To make a long story short, they’re out of bread! So what am I to do? Go and reach an agreement with everybody – then you’ll have bread.

That person will then have to run around and negotiate with everybody, and thus he will learn that he is dependent on the entire world. This is the situation we are coming to. If we don’t repair the connection between us, we won’t have anything but empty shelves. And this great suffering will make us discover our dependency on everyone.

Some people think they’ll be able to run away. They think, “I’m going to buy myself a lot of land, plant some potatoes and tomatoes, and that will be enough for me. The rest of you can go to hell for all I care! I’ll be fine on my own.” But this is impossible! Life today is arranged in a way that won’t let anyone run away. This is why Baal HaSulam says that if we take measures toward separation, this will lead to Nazi regimes. After all, we will still be united, but from the opposite end: reception rather than bestowal.

A question I received: When people suffer, they unite. Now that the entire world is suffering, there’s a chance for unity, but won’t this unity dissipate the moment the situation improves?

My Answer: People aren’t uniting because of hunger. Rather, the system we live in is being revealed as a network that lacks the right interconnection. This is why the unity will not take place on the level of the banks, the economy or human relationships. This crisis will drive everyone into a dead-end, and the situation will improve only when people connect with each other. The recognition of evil will continue to grow, and accordingly, people will correct themselves more and more.

Today, the whole world is beginning to work for the Creator. The whole world – which comprises one soul – must ascend up the spiritual degrees all the way to the World of Infinity. In the past, only a small group of people wet through this path of ascent to the World of Infinity, but today, the whole world must go through it.

This is called, “the coming of the Messiah,” and the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah to the whole world is called, “the horn of the Messiah.” There is a law that states: the general and the particular are equal. Therefore, the whole world will undergo all the same processes as the group.

Today the world is beginning to rise from below upward. The first sign of this ascent is the revelation of the connection between us – the globalization and integration which are now becoming apparent in our world. With every passing day, this connection will become more evident, more clearly revealed, since this process happens whether we want it or not.

It is as though we are on a rising escalator, going up through the levels of the worlds. At every new level, a new picture becomes apparent to us. The escalator is currently moving at a speed called “in its time” (Beito). And even though it seems to us that the changes in the world are occurring extremely fast, the fact is, this is only the beginning.

Until now, the world did not ascend; it merely changed within the framework of our egoism, which increased from one generation to the next. Now, however, we are seeing that our egoism is becoming more interconnected – we are already seeing a system of egoistic connections between all the people in the world. However, we’re not yet fully aware of this connection. And in fact, we will find that we are incapable of being connected – this is the truth about us. This is how the spiritual world becomes revealed to human beings.

We have to understand that the spiritual world, which is now being revealed, connects all of us. With each passing day, it is becoming more pronounced and menacing, since we do not match it. Our incongruence with the spiritual world will only continue to increase, until the pressure of great suffering will force us to agree to bring ourselves into congruence with it.

Kabbalists tried to tell us about these processes so we would see the “steps” by which we are ascending now, like on an escalator, into the next dimension: the Upper World. We have no other choice – we are already on the escalator.
